On my website there are hundreds of meal prep, snack, and macro friendly dessert recipes that I have developed over the years. There are no targeted ads, no pointless life stories and endless scrolling to get to the ingredient list, just the recipes. I have a subscription based model where Gold Members have access to every recipe on the site, which is under $5/month with annual memberships. If that's not your thing, there is also a Silver level membership that is free for life, still ad free, and you get access to more than 40% of the recipes. would love some more of the rotisserie chicken based recipes
I second that.
mix smoked cheddar into the chicken. Heavenly especially when it's all melty.
Yes please
Nah seriously
Please! That would be amazing!
I love your dry humor so much haha. “I would have mixed the rice with the vegetables but I need it separated for the thumbnail” has me dying
This is exactly what I love. Rice, chicken, teriyaki sauce, and slaw. Thanks Josh! Adding this to my rotation for sure!
You bet. Hope you enjoy it 👍
Self realization: the phrase “crunchy chili garlic oil” makes my mouth water.
It’s one of the greatest condiments
Yes! Sounds scrumptious.
@@TheMealPrepManual had to go to our Kroger (King Soopers) store to get some. Best $7.99 for a 3.9 Oz jar I’ve ever spent. #stilldrooling
I live in Australia and we don't have that....
@@----sssxxxddd----7975 Yes we do. They sell it at woolworths, it's called "S&b Crunchy Garlic Chilli Oil". If it's not at your location you should be able to find an alternative in most Asian supermarkets.
Honestly... I appreciate the lazy day preps. One thing I've learned is even if you miss a day in the gym, KEEP SHOWING UP. Even if you don't wanna cook, KEEP SHOWING UP. Even if you are busy, put on this channel... KEEP SHOWING UP. Thanks man, keep showing up. Make more lazy day preps pls!
Recipe saved! Loved the quick meal and, even more, loved the reality of your comments about meal prep not being something elaborate and made from scratch every single week. That’s the honest truth.
This went together so quickly. I got out of the habit of meal prep the last couple weeks and didn't feel like cooking today, but this tasted great and was easy. Thanks.
This would be an awesome series. There’s always at least a week a month where I’m not feeling like meal prepping, and this is perfect for that
that's not a bad idea!!!
Oh man this was great! I would love to see more easy/low effort meal prep ideas. The fancy stuff looks amazing but realistcally I rarely have the time, or talent, for that. I barely know know how to cook so these kinds of recipes are right up my alley! Thanks for this!
These are a bit harder for me to come up with but I’ll try 👍
I love your content man. Started meal prepping your recipes and im down almost 20lbs :). Thank you so much
I loved this video! is somewhat freeing to see meal prep not being 100% percent cooked by hand. It sounds silly but it opens so many more options.
I literally have been doing this for the past 2 weeks, works really well
Dude, this is awesome! I've done something similar before by pulling all the meat off a rotisserie chicken and making a big pot of chicken soup with store bought stock and some rice.
🙌🙌
Exactly what I needed this week. Thanks man!
Josh, you've been such a lifesaver with your easy and high protein recipes. I am trying to achieve my fitness goals and your dishes are getting me there! Thank you so much.
Great to hear!
I like the focus on meal prep, cost and nutrition in the videos. subscribed.
Ive been looking for rotisserie chicken recipes this is perfect
Why did not I see this earlier. U are amazing. this is perfect.
Suggest more of these, I will go to costco every week.
I made this today, very easy and super tasty! Highly recommend!
This is by far the laziest meal prep. Love it, good job!
Haha thank you 😎
Make this a series! I would love some more of these quick ones for weeks when a full meal prep isn't happening
This was really satisfying! I added mung beans to my slaw for a little more fiber and protein. Also used a lot less teriyaki sauce to our taste. Came out great! Definitely going to be a go to. Thanks!!
Perfection ! I need more recipes like this.
More to come!!!
Please more low prep meals these are LIFE! 💯💯💯
made this yesterday. cooked a whole a chicken because it's much cheaper than rotisserie chicken where i am. it turned out really well. really simple, really tasty. good, big portions.
Costco has these bibigo cooked sticky rice bowls as well that could go well here.. I would probably put everything else in meal prep containers and just bring the single serving bowl along.. those bibigo bowls have become my staple of rice with lunch
500K Congrats 🥳
Omg, how did I never think of this. I am not a great cook but this seem like an easy one and I guess I can customize it quite a bit! 🙏🏻 please make more recipients like this one!
Hope you enjoy
Not gonna lie, the visual did get Joshie at least one click and comment.
I love how ridiculously simple this is. Well done papa.
thank you
We're really eliminating excuses here! Lol Thanks for this! Quick and simple.
Amazing recipe Joshy
None of your recipes have disappointed, and I'm sure this one will be no different. You are a meal prep scientist!
Wow, thank you!
You are an absolute legend, can't believe I just found your channel now
I love it!
exactly the video i needed love the content
thank you!!!
still love the content and i share ur page with everyone i know man i hope you become famous
Yes....this is a great video....sometimes we just want to out something healthy together vs cook it!
This is great. I've done something similar but even lazier by using starkist pouch chicken
Pro tip: If you really don't feel like busting out the cutting board for the chicken, put on some food-safe gloves and pull it apart.
Take your "like" Joshy, you earned it!
Hey, I followed this today and it was delicious! I did notice that in your recipe list though, you have the teriyaki sauce listed as 9 tbsp (135g) but I think you actually used 4 tbsp (60g). Anyway, thanks again. Keep up the good work!
Wow you guys have really cool already prepared meal components in America. Makes cooking healthy easier and quicker. Unfortunately it's not that common in my area in Germany yet. I love your recipes and ideas :)
Great!!! I’d like to see more things like this. Very fast, very easy. Like, like, like!!!
Glad you liked it!
Where has this been all my lazy Sundays life lol
I know , right?!?
You rock Josh
Need more rotisserie chicken recipes 🤗
I do the same thing with boiled chicken breasts. Just shred it and mix with BBQ sauce for a "pulled chicken" meal.
You can even use the water that boiled the chicken to cook rice so nothing goes to waste.
How do you make a precut salad last one week? Love the video by the way
You're my god damn hero this week, thank you
more Rotisserie Chicken recipes! Might be able to do a chicken chili with winter coming up
Great way to throw together a meal.
Always helpful
😎😎
I’ve been doing the same general thing but instead of rotisserie chicken I can prep 2-3 meals from Aldi’s packaged Chicken Fajitas or other meat options, “minute” rice that takes 90 seconds for a couple servings, and steamable vegetables. It’s my go-to for quick lazy meal preps.
Beautiful 👏👏
I fancy a lazy Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday and Saturday so this ones going on the list
Honestly you had me at the sneaky mac n cheese recipe
Yo I have no idea why I never even thought to make meal prep with rotisserie chicken before. I'll 100% be doing this next week, though I'll cook my jasmine rice instead of the gross microwaved brown stuff.
Where do you get your containers
"I would rather stare at a wall for three hours than spending any time cooking." I feel that about cooking period LOL
You said, in the beginning, that you were going to show us how meal prep without having to do any cocaine. I took your advice and now I can finally quit snow. Massive thanks!
i was looking forward to what unusual manner you would be holding the fork this week.
Lol I literally got done filming this at midnight last night and I just wanted to get it edited and posted so I didn’t have time to film that clip
Unless I’ve missed it, you should do a video about like different fillers and nutrient benefits or lack thereof. Like carrots or peas or mushrooms etc.
Just tried this but with a fresh cabbage, the salt took so much water out of the cabbage and possibly the carrots too, stripping the honey and vinegar off in the process. Does this happen with pre-cut cabbage too?
What teriyaki sauce do you like? I find them too sweet, still looking
0:06 is me right now. I have tomorrow off and I would rather chew tinfoil than be productive this weekend.
#theres tired # and then there's preschool teacher tired
In other news three of the four meals I plan to prep tonight for this week are from your recipes 😂
Hopefully you enjoy them, thank you for your support 👍
Finally found this guy again
😂I got a kick out of it when he said “this horse shit brown rice but whatever it will do”
hey josh, good stuff man. quick question. will the chicken still be ok on the 4th of 5th day? in terms of storing it?
Worked at a grocery store. Cooked chicken was good for 6 days.
“I’d rather stare at a wall for 3 hours” this guy gets it
Is it safe to have the chicken sitting out for that long during your meal prep?
Got all this stuff to try this out - tired of microwave meals lol.
Does rotisserie chicken really last 5 days in the fridge?
so how far are you on your way to shredded city?
I often buy a whole chicken and cook it myself. It's so much cheaper with the current meat prices, than buying just chicken breasts, and my store usually don't have boneless, skinless chicken thighs
I'm surprised i haven't seen a sous vide device in your kitchen yet. If you love your air fryer for how easy it makes things, you should really try out the Joule or Anova. Other than that, a pressure cooker really makes some dishes go fast.
That still means some work to be done with cutting and pulling that chicken, though. I gotta check how much boneless pieces my nearest market has in store, and if there are any pre-cooked variations...
This recipe will be VERY handy
correct. it's hard to create a recipe where there is zero work. those are from fantasy land haha
"Joshie needs some clicks" 😂😂😂😂
how many times does that rice get cooked before you eat it? Once at the factory then frozen, once at home to prep then refridgerated, then once before you eat. So three times. Is that safe?
As long as you don’t let it sit at room temperature I’m sure it will be fine
Everyone has "lazy" days. I love this option!
haha me almost every week!!!
I have disgusting cauliflower rice in the freezer... this is what I am making this week. Thank you.
🙌🙌
this guy meal prepped a bodybuilder's one day worth of food 😎😎
Considering Costco also has shredded rotisserie chicken in bags, this could be even easier.
I substitute the rice with cauliflower rice!
i find it funny, you have the exact same containers as me, and they look exactly the same for me. some edges broke away and some white stuff remains in them after washing them in the washing machine. good video but the chicken looked a bit undercooked... but maybe that was ok
I definitely understand not wanting to cook a chicken but I've always gotta cook my own rice because I have a rice cooker, so I end up buying 5kg bulk bags of basmati and cooking it with a single button.
Dang I wish I hadn’t already meal prepped for the week so I can make this lol oh well there’s always next week 😞😞
where was this when I was in college.., oh yeah ..the internet was in its infancy (at least to the public).., and there was no CZcams.
This meal prep is super dooper.
Thank you 😎
commenting for Joshy's clicks and the algorithm
would this taste okay if I only used
soy sauce on the rice
homemade teriyaki on cooked chicken breasts
normal vinegar and honey on coleslaw
(don't have access to asian sauces and pre-made things)
Yes that would be fine
me eating a costco rotisserie chicken while watching this: nice
Can you do a burrito bowl Rotisserie chicken recipe?!?!?!
For someone that is allergic to cabbage, what would you suggest as some alternatives to the coleslaw in this meal? Besides cauliflower, because that shit sucks.
I would do broccoli slaw or thinly sliced brussel sprouts personally
broccoli would be a decent choice
You had me at Horse Shit Brown Rice. 🤣
Lol
Love your videos and I use them to prep for my wife and I through the week. I like that you gave a shout out to the dorms, but I think you are missing a good viewer base by not making more meals like this with military targeted. A lot of your folks live in barracks similar to dorms but with very strict rules. Most have microwaves, some have Forman grills. They all want to put on muscle. Maybe even try to find a durable containers for the field and a meal that doesn't need to be reheated? IDK. Either way thanks for the contact.
Thanks a lot where I can buy such plates(containers) ?
i get these on amazon
@@TheMealPrepManual what need to type at search? May be for stupid question. It is for 1 use or I need wash it. Sorry for bad english
@@TheMealPrepManual thanks a lot I read your list at Amazon. Great plates. Will buy it. Reusable it is very good
Are you in KC? That costco looks just too familiar...though they all do.
No i live in texas
Y'all can skip a step by shopping at Costco they also sell rotisserie chicken meat only in a pack.
Do you eat those 1 each day for lunch for example? Can chicken last 5 days in the fridge?
Good question
yes. i've been meal prepping for almost a decade and never had an issue with food lasting 5 days in the fridge
This looks great for a low calorie lunch, but what should you eat fod breakfast or dinner to keep it low like that?
how do you measure the calories of the rotisserie chicken?
I put it into MyFitnessPal and there was a selection for the Costco rotisserie chicken so I input how much I used
