It would not surprise me if Freddie somehow orchestrated this from his viewpoint high above. His friends missed playing for big crowds. He saw a worthy singer. I can just see him moving the pieces and making it happen!!!

Respectfully, they are two different singers, who bring different voices (yet the same feel) to the best band to ever do it IMHO. I adore Freddie! I adore Adam! We know for a fact that Adam grew up adoring Freddie and considers himself a huge fan, like us. He has never shown anything but the utmost respect for Freddie. Yet he never imitated him, unlike others. He brought his own amazing vocals and stage presence & put his own take on songs. Yet, likely due to still having the brilliant Sir Dr. Bri, Roger and Spike up on stage, playing and singing, they have the same core sound. Their productions have grown with technology, keeping with Queens over the top history of live stage productions. Yet they refuse to bring tech to the vocals or instruments, and play purely live. I love that. Shows were brilliant in the Freddie era and brilliant in the QAL era. It's not a competition....it's a continuation!!!
I have to admit I was absolutely excited in the early days when Adam Lambert stepped into Freddie Mercury shoes. 12 or 13 years on I think Adam Lambert taking the show in a different direction.
