I Used to watch you a lot back in the day! I was like maybe 13/14. I’m 25 now. Glad to see you’re still pushing out content! Great Review!!!
I HOPE they come out with the Beats Pill XL as well. 🤗 I had the original one back in tha day and that thing put out some MAJOR sound...Too bad I had to turn it in due to a fire hazard recall. 🥴
Still have both of mine! Never sending mine back 😂 but to be real I don’t see them making another “big speaker” these pills are a hit, now they do a 2.0 of the beatbox portable gonna be 👌
thanks for the in depth review 🙏
I hope they make a new Beats Pill+
I hope they make a new Pill- 😂 kinda something like the JBL GO
Nice video SKB!
Great review thanks! Can it multipoint with two or more devices?
Good video as always sir.
I appreciate that
That’s exactly wat I need
Interesting! All the red ones appear to have the same gap on the front left between the metal grill and the silicone. Didn't know if it was just mine or not.
That's cool that you can listen to sound from two beats at the same time.
Honey, wake up - Mark just dropped another banger! The OG tech reviewer cookin’ since 2008! 🔥
Appreciate that!
What’s the sound quality like
Hope they make the pills characters
I got it two days at first I didn’t like it but after day 2 and under standing it’s functions I like it now when I plugged it up usb c to my Mac and iPad I was hoping I would keep the quality to use as a speaker for my computer
Same i was so excited to test it i tried it in the car and was disappointed. Took it home and tried it in different rooms and i really like it esp for the size. Only thing that sucks is its mono output.
@@iron_recluse super facts 🫡
Yeah haha 😂 at first o was like how do you turn this thing on 😅 but once you learn how to there no issue at all, this beats pill replaced my expensive B&O A1 2nd Gen, really love it!!!
I have the red one and champagne. They are amazing, better than my 2 Bose flex’s.
Great review. Speaking about turning the Pill off, is there any auto sleep mode after 10 minutes or something? Knowing Apple, if they make turning off harder, means they add some sort of sleep mode to the device. Is there one in Pill?
not having in app controls on iOS is weird! also the button combos and not having a mode voice make it feel like a random dollar store brand bluetooth speaker instead of something made with attention and care! really the only good thing about these is it has good speakerphone ability's
can you locate the speaker even when it is off
No. It only updates the location when you are connected to it, but once you disconnect (or it is off) you'll only see the location where it was last connected. If someone moves it you won't know where it is.
@@geggyusa Pfff I once lost my Beats solo pro like that. I find that useless tho
@@Bigmann22yea its pretty pointless. You’re better off getting an AirTag and attaching it to the lanyard
Beats pill vs Bose flex?
People are saying pill for features and Bose flex for better sound quality
Tested both today, the Pills bass plays noticeably deeper, mids are a bit warmer sounding on the Bose and the Pill has slightly better defined highs thanks to the added tweeter. Pill sounds good up until about 80/85% volume then its limiter starts to kick in to avoid distortion which makes it sound a bit shrill/ uncontrolled at max volume. Neither are particularly great for max volume listening (most small speakers like these aren’t) but if that doesn’t concern you I’d go with the Pill over the Bose. The Pill is also rated for double the battery life of the Bose which means longer times between charges and it has a power bank feature which the Bose does not.
Bose Flex all day long. I bought the Pill to compare it. I would have kept it. After 3 days of listening I realized nothing about it sounds natural. The Bose Flex shuts it out.
@@BravesplayyyyyeFlex All Day Long!!!
@@91brooklynborn haha I just bought the pill and I love it. I’m gonna buy the Bose for my sis
I been using mine all day Monday -and Tuesday full charge it doesn’t last 24 hours like they says it’s last 7 -7/30 hours of play time music with me using about 80 percent volume
On the Beats website it says *up to 24 hours of battery life. As with all portable speakers this depends on volume level and the type of music played. Bass heavy music will sap power from the battery quicker than classical music for instance. Beats website also states the 24h figure was tested while playing the speaker at 50% volume.
A little disappointed with the bass that it puts out. In the house in a really quit area it's fine. But outside bas is non existent, almost like just having a portable tweeter.
Jbl has been the king of the portable speakers and I don’t see this beats taking that from them.
The jbl flip speakers are good
