@@rocaduruI am not sure, I think since Raiven was first and for the other first artists they both semeed a bit stressed and nervous as hosts. I didnt like Electra hiding face most of the time btw but that should be fixed by production team.

Sweden has a level 4 out of 5 in security in the entire country right now so events are barely allowed. They have struggled with a lot of shootings lately and needs to put safety before entertainment because of that.

These hosts didn't even bother to engage in communication with participants, automatically replying in every single communication with 'that's amazing'. It's like they weren't even paying attention. Hire someone that cares and who will do some proper research. This feels so sterile..
They were probably paid 50€ each cause it's unbelievable. My nephew could have done better lol

I think the problem that Electra struggled there with is speaking English the same way they speak Swedish. When you are the listener in a conversation in Swedish you have to be very active and you have to react to almost every sentence with either "yes/no/sure/okay” or short phrases "that's fun/that's cool/that's sad/etc.". And all of it is mostly meaningless. You just do it for the sake of doing it. For me, as a Swedish speaker, what they said didn't sound weird at all, but I get why people are a bit confused.

It seems like Sweden doesnt care about making a good Eurovision… Winning Eurovision (to brag, LOl) and making MF great is more important. They could have used someone who was better in English and also someone who has some journalistic background and are able to listen to the ones they are asking queation. These people seemed to care more about looking at the camera than listening to their answers. Where did they find these people?

Turin was great. You can tell Italy is all about looks. They gave everybody plenty of space to speak and to show off. Liverpool was great considering their constraints. I have to check the TelAviv one, I am not sure I saw it at the time as I had exams coming, so...

I think it was raining. Beside that, Swedish people are possibly not that crazy about Eurovision to stand there and cheer like at the Oscars. But I thought some more interviews by the Eurovision vloggers would continue somewhere inside.

So this stream only lasted 1 hour 43 mins. In comparison, last years was just over 3 hours!!!
We wanted to see the artists more, not a load of cutaways to some random city buildings. This was so poor.
That really was the worst Turquoise Carpet ever. Normally it really gets me into the Eurovision spirit seeing all the artists and their interactions with the crowd. But this year it was so boring with only the (extremely short) interviews. 😕
And shallow questions, too! The presenters only ask about the outfit! I want to know about the songs, damnit!
And the waiting with the same slideshows images over and over again was LONGER than the actual interviews. LMAOOOOO. Embarassing to say the least.

@@criccy_mannaro right!!! I think it's safe to say that we all had big expectation of Sweden, since they technically have better staging in melfest than some editions of eurovision but this is so big letdown. Even Rotterdam was able to host the party better in pandemic 🤦

I think that Sweden is not responsible for this, the competition has been completely deteriorating for two or three years. Last year the carpet was also limited but today it was horror. Indeed with the climate of insecurity that doesn't help and I hope the show will be better !

Where is the crowd? Where is the music? The spirit of Eurovision? This was by far the worst thing in Eurovision. Hosts were awful, they seemed bored and tired and uninterested by all things. Artists were excited to talk but the questions they get are like a joke. Camera angles, the venue, not being able to see the artists walk through the carpet... Ah Sweden, it wasn't even your right to win 2023. And I hope you can't win Eurovision ever again because I can't watch another hosting you destroyed.
Let's dedicate a minute to the artists spending hours to prepare just to attend this disaster of a carpet, if we can even call it that.
I was very excited to watch this, but in the end I was so disappointed. This was the worst turquoise carpet ever.

Honestly, I feel sorry for all the artists who had to endure this „ceremony“ - they must have felt so disappointed. Compared to previous years, this turquoise carpet was a disgrace! No ceremony, no glamour, ugly location, no fans, very little press, short and awkward interviews…maybe the reason for this were the safety concerns due to Israels participation…such a shame overall

I had to run home to watch it because I was at the event for real last year in Liverpool so I thought it was gonna be the same or even better, just to see this...
that carpet was the worst of this decade for real the producton was so lazy the questions were like randomly as you saw with armenia also we havent seen Anything from the carpet and also those random shots of random buildings are bad. Im so dissaponted this year hope next year be better

I genuinely hope this was done for safety reasons. It seemed very poorly put together compared to Turin and Liverpool. Even Rotterdam, including all the Covid regulations.
What safety reasons? There was literally no reasons to cheap out the carpet like this. At least they had covid as an excuse in Rotterdam but even then they managed to do something better than this!!!!
Sorry but no excuse for this poor quality, then just put a carpet inside with security and make a good show out of it with music and interviews of the artists.

This was horrible. The questions were horrible, awkward and unprofessional. Pictures of Malmo took longer than actual interview sessions. No celebratory feeling of Eurovision opening ceremony, no live carpet with all the press and contestants. This was so disappointing I can’t believe I waited a year for this. 💔

Whole Eurovision is a bit of a mess atm... yes this could have been done way better but things are messed up with demonstrations, some vandalism, other artists dropping out, safety reasons. We can't expect an amazing eurovision year.

Sweden this was embarrassing! 30 seconds interview, 3 minutes break! No actual turquoise carpet! Interviewers came unprepared and with dumb questions. I understand you wanted to put drag queen, but then at least make it look professional. Production 0. Gave us nothing! Hopefully actual contest will be better, but according to the rehearsal videos doesn’t look like it will.

That was an absolute disappointment and disaster. Done like there was no effort or will to make this cool. The lists on the internet with the order each artist was coming in were wrong in several spots, and the hosts were terrible; and no, not because they are drag.

Extremely dissapointing. Even the one in Rotterdam despite Covid restrictions was better. The breaks were annoying (at least show different images) and the questions were lame. Not what I expected from Sweden😏
