- Baby Roona had a condition called Hydrocephalus that caused her Head to swell to 3 times the normal size. Faced with increasing difficulty and detoriation of Baby Roona's health the parents of Roona Begum turned to Fortis for help
The Fortis Foundation came to Baby Roona's help offering the expertise of a medical team headed by Dr Sandeep Vaishya. Through the course of successive surgeries, the size of the head was progressively reduced over time.
The family and Baby Roona showed tremendous courage during the treatment and did not loose hope in the face of nearly impossible odds. This is their story
