Once I started treating myself (in real life) like I did my characters in the game, everything changed. Instead of grinding for loot and increasing my stats, I hit the gym and started eating an amazing diet. I began to put together to-do lists, instead of quests, acquiring investments/assets instead of unique items and runewords. I came to realize that you can actually make things spiral in a good direction-it doesn’t necessarily always have to be bad. Currently grinding my way to level 99, but not on a screen; it feels good man.

I was (initially) given 8 months, after four years of struggling, feeling horrible, and with one foot in the grave, I knew that the only person who was going to help, was myself. I took baby steps, but I radically changed my diet. I massively cut back on carbs, sugar, salt, and went to a high protein diet. I went from 260lbs to 200lbs in about six months. I went from a 42 inch waist pants to a 36 inch waist pants. I'm starting, just starting to exercise. The first step is the hardest and biggest. I'm now trying to clear up my 50k debt incurred while fighting this dreadful disease. No woman in my life (yet). Those are my two feet in my picture, with my Uranium over on the desk.

so damn true. I had a come to jesus moment (figure of speech) about 8 months ago at 3am while drunk as fuck at my house playing world of warcraft, like i had done for the past 20+ weekends before it. No irl human interaction outside of that. I straight up cried my eyes out when i went to the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror. and im not talking about a small wimper, I'm talkin bout a loud ugly cry of disgust and shame. I had gained 40 pounds, my face was pudgy, eyes with huge purple rings around them all the time, pale as a sheet of paper, hated my dead end job, etc. It had to have been divine intervention because as soon as I picked myself up from laying on the ground for an hour crying, I said to myself "fuck this, i don't need to feel this pain. I can literally change all of this instantly. I'm young, nothing is permanent". So, I did. I uninstalled WoW, I started going to my apartment complexes gym (started out very small workouts, but i still went), looked at every self-improvement thing on the internet, started a skin cleansing regiment, started whitening my teeth, started to tan, started hobbies outside of gaming, started eating right, went back on dating apps, rebuilt ALL my friendships that i selfishly ruined, and started to put myself out there again. Within a month I got a girlfriend. Honestly without her, I don't think I could have made such a drastic transformation confidence-wise. Within a month I reconnected emotionally with all my friends, they were so damn happy to have me around again. Within a month, my mother and sister were so damn proud of me and were my biggest cheerleaders. Within a month, I, ME, was actually happy. 1 month. All the men reading this, please, it just takes 1 moment. 1 moment of saying "fuck this, i choose to not feel this way". take responsibility for your life, especially if your young. theres really only a small window of being able to meet tons of women/people and achieving your romantic/life goals. YOU CAN DO IT MEN Edit: I should clarify, while obviously my long WoW/gaming addiction was the biggest problem, I also had emotional problems. The main problem with this presentation is that it switches the cause and the effect. I didn't become lonely because of pron and games. I first became lonely and then I took up pron and games to compensate for it. My video games have never falsely accused me the way multiple girls have in real life.

Nothing wrong with playing video games but just don’t let them be your entire identity and the sole thing you do each day. I’ve personally cut down to gaming 1 hour per day on the weekdays and using the rest of my free time for the day on exercise, learning Japanese, hitting up girls, reading, and practicing the piano. This is ironic coming from a “gaming profile” but there is much more to life than video games. Enjoy them in moderation, don’t let them consume you. Work on improving yourself and get out there because good life experiences won’t come into that isolated room of yours.

I used to stress about doing dailies in WoW or felt like I was wasting time watching tv instead of playing CoD to keep my rank up. I would stay up late gaming when my wife went to bed then end up watching porn. Now I wake up early and tackle the day and eff my wife every single night. Life is awesome.

I guess it's a good thing that I have always had total and complete ED then, even when I was a teenager, because it's never even been "fun" or enjoyable to master "bait" (edited for YT) so I've never even been interested in "that thing we can't mention" (again, edited for YT), because it's always just been something that I cannot physically do, even if I had a GF to do it with... That, and I never got into playing video games as a kid either, so I've never played ANY video game for fun or entertainment, I've always been more interested in outdoor activities and in electronics instead . Anyway, just because I DON'T have an "addiction to certain things", (thank goodness), that hasn't ever helped me in ANY way to becoming "financially stable" either. (Or, even better yet, financially abundant!) So when you say that it's "easier than ever nowadays to make lots of money", I just wish I could find a way for ME to make that money, because as it is now, (I am almost 50), I only make about $12K/year income at my job, which is barely enough to keep me off the street, but never enough to actually save anything from month to month or paycheck to paycheck. (Much less to ever be able to afford to go on "vacation" and get to do anything fun or exciting. :( ) I still haven't been able to figure out the "secret" to truly abundant wealth and income, and at this point in my life already, I may never discover it for myself... But I still just keep going on though from day to day, for some reason, no matter what happens in life... I honestly don't know WHY at this point, but maybe there's still something important that I'm supposed to do in this life?... Time will tell I guess...

I've never seen so much women sexualizing there bodies or even just a little bit being more expose on social media. Nothing wrong with playing video games but just don’t let them be your entire identity and the sole thing you do each day. I’ve personally cut down to gaming 1 hour per day on the weekdays and using the rest of my free time for the day on exercise, learning Japanese, hitting up girls, reading, and practicing the piano.
This is ironic coming from a “gaming profile” but there is much more to life than video games. Enjoy them in moderation, don’t let them consume you. Work on improving yourself and get out there because good life experiences won’t come into that isolated room of yours.
What is a video game anyway? I hear the term. I've never played one. Where does one acquire them? What is the purpose? Is it a gay thing?
One of the challenges as a believer is to live in a world that values and celebrates sexual immorality but to do that while maintaining your heart and your affections for Christ, rather than allowing your heart to be governed by the sinful sexual passions that much of the world prizes and lives with.
Which is why we need to pray, read God’s Word, and have real community with other believers. This world assaults us with lies and temptations on a regular basis, and we weren’t meant to face it alone.
Climbing to the top in the modern world is like trying to catch lightning in a bottle...this is actually what drains most men of their lives in this day and age (there is little to gain and a lot to lose...in other words the juice is not worth the squeeze)...minus the porn I actually felt more content with my life when I started to reject dating/the rat race and enjoy the little things and have hobbies/spend time around my family etc (not on about having a wife and kids)...trying to get success and a girlfriend in this modern time is about as toxic as porn/gambling in a casino when you know full well the house always wins...life is not easy...but it's better to pursue what's in your control than what is out of your control...telling men they have to pursue success and a girlfriend in order to be happy/better person is actually setting them up for failure and crushing disappointment.
If having a girlfriend and success was the key to happiness...then most men would have it but that's just not the case or even true.

Great points! Although it's important to mention that gaming by it self can be good as a stress relief and a way to enjoy your time. It's not as if you're a gamer you automatically fail. Its about knowing how to allocate your time to different things. If you wanna game after you're done with your work for the day then by all means go for it. We as humans can't just grind 24/7 so it's important to do things that you enjoy when you're not working. As long as you don't let it consume your life

I used to stress about doing dailies in WoW or felt like I was wasting time watching tv instead of playing CoD to keep my rank up. I would stay up late gaming when my wife went to bed then end up watching porn. Now I wake up early and tackle the day and eff my wife every single night. Life is awesome.

I guess it's a good thing that I have always had total and complete ED then, even when I was a teenager, because it's never even been "fun" or enjoyable to master "bait" (edited for YT) so I've never even been interested in "that thing we can't mention" (again, edited for YT), because it's always just been something that I cannot physically do, even if I had a GF to do it with...
That, and I never got into playing video games as a kid either, so I've never played ANY video game for fun or entertainment, I've always been more interested in outdoor activities and in electronics instead .
Anyway, just because I DON'T have an "addiction to certain things", (thank goodness), that hasn't ever helped me in ANY way to becoming "financially stable" either. (Or, even better yet, financially abundant!) So when you say that it's "easier than ever nowadays to make lots of money", I just wish I could find a way for ME to make that money, because as it is now, (I am almost 50), I only make about $12K/year income at my job, which is barely enough to keep me off the street, but never enough to actually save anything from month to month or paycheck to paycheck. (Much less to ever be able to afford to go on "vacation" and get to do anything fun or exciting. :( )
I still haven't been able to figure out the "secret" to truly abundant wealth and income, and at this point in my life already, I may never discover it for myself... But I still just keep going on though from day to day, for some reason, no matter what happens in life... I honestly don't know WHY at this point, but maybe there's still something important that I'm supposed to do in this life?... Time will tell I guess...

I like this video is very true , unfortunately for me I come from a family that does not have longevity most don't even get close to there 70s. So knowing that I'm not one of those that are always thinking about their retirement. So for a couple of months have dedicating a lot of my time learning about investment and trading and other things that could Advance me to an early retirement. Also staying away from things that used to distract me like politics and useless multimedia entertainment.

We only get one life, so live life, and enjoy it in whatever way makes you the happiest, and always trust, and believe in God, and live as best as you can in his eyes, and life will be so much easier. I found this out almost 2 years ago, and haven't looked back since. Always treat everyone you love with the utmost love and respect, weather it be your family, or friends, or someone special in your life, and life will be so much more enjoyable and fulfilling.
