CRUSHED ICE (2023) - an independent feature film by Theater AG Hipstedt [thriller]

The plot
It's the 10th anniversary of graduation and former graduates Nils, Amy, Luisa, Lina, Joana, Merle, Quentin and Micha have gathered for an unforgettable night. Together with the two teachers, Mr. Johnson and Ms. Beutler, they toast to past successes and memories. The atmosphere is exuberant and the speeches are sometimes embarrassing and sometimes thought-provoking as they learn what has become of their former classmates.
But beneath the surface, old feelings simmer, friendships are put to the test and envy begins to crackle. A shocking discovery is made in the midst of the merrymaking - a person is found murdered. The party turns into a labyrinth of suspicions, secrets and dark abysses.
In the style of "neo-noir", "Crushed Ice" shines in dark, atmospheric images that underline the suspense and mystery of the story. Immerse yourself in the shadowy world of former high school graduates, where nothing is as it seems. Everyone is a potential perpetrator and the hunt for the truth begins.
About the production
"Crushed Ice" has a running time of approx. 90 minutes and was extensively edited in post-production. Through precise editing, careful color correction and professional sound editing, all elements of the film were brought together harmoniously.m Visual effects, including the use of green screen technology, help to create a unique visual experience.
About the makers
It is particularly worth mentioning that the members of Theater AG Hipstedt worked on this low-budget project on a voluntary basis, which was realized with a budget of under €20,000. "Crushed Ice" is already the eighth feature film produced by Theater AG Hipstedt e.V. and represents another milestone in their impressive filmography.

About the equipment
"Crushed Ice" was shot during the summer and fall of 2022 in 4K format and an aspect ratio of 1.85:1. The film was shot using the state-of-the-art URSA Mini Pro 4.6k G2 and Cinema Pocket 6K Pro cameras to ensure impressive visual quality. The film's sound was also handled with the utmost care.
