- We make our way from Waalwijk to Efteling and explore some of Loonsche Land, one of the onsite hotels, where we will be staying for 2 nights!

That building with the elephant is actually part of Efteling, but it is called "Villa Pardoes" which is, sort of a "make a wish" sort of charity facility they run. Families with a child (4y to 12y) that is very severe life long illness or an incurrable decease of sorts, are allowed to come there for a week long holiday, completely for free.

@@travelswithellaandfrank 😂, that explains the 53000 steps. That is twice my best day at Efteling. Usually it’s around 18-25 thousand
@@Nitzpitz we had an absolute nightmare!! My legs were killing at the end of the day haha! We also didn't know our way round very well so also ended up zig zagging a lot and going back on ourselves. ❤️
@@Nitzpitz definitely need a better plan of where we are going next time!! It is huge and so gorgeous. So much to see and do and explore. Absolutely adored it!!! ❤️
@@travelswithellaandfrank i bet you did! And it will be even better next time, once they finish all the projects they have this year. 2023 is sort of a renovation year it seems and there are two major new projects with the grand hotel and dance macabre. We will probably skip this year just because of those. Can’t wait to see how it turns out. Hope you got to see Caro too, it is gorgeous.
Btw, pro tip: take the children’s menu wherever you can. You get great value fir money and lovely souvenirs. We have all our breakfast plates from the poffertjes house for instance. Enjoy!
