Favorite breed depends on intended consumption. Angus does great for meat but the most beautiful and flavorful milk is from the Jersey, Guernsey and Ohonte. As a Western New Yorker who remembers raw milk with layers of cream delivered to the door three times a week I have been very happy to find farms returning to grass fed high butterfat yield breeds. In particular the whole milk from Maple Hill Creamery really is a taste sensation not found for years. But we also rely heavily on Cabot Cheese products and Byrne Dairy too for great sour cream(and ice cream). My thanks to all of you in the dairy industry and especially to you three girls for your dedication and hard work and of course your mom and Tim too. Keep up the good work!

I love Angus and my favorite crop is tomatoes, potatoes and sweet corn, my family has had both diary and beef cattle, though we have also had goats and chickens and new Zealand Giants white wabbits...horses and fancy french chickens, one year we only had one Chick hatched in the incubator and so instead of just ending it my father allowed me to take care of it a so "sparky" imprinted me and wouldn't allow anyone to get close to him except me and actually would lay next to the door until I came out each morning and he would follow me around anywhere I went, I cried when he finally died one year and I still remember him, but that's farm life...
