    I can't seem to find a learn button feature to easily assign the drums. I'm using a millennium MPS 1000 which doesn't have a map preset so I have to assign everything by hand and can't find a way to do it easy

      The learn button is on the last page, the Midi Map page. if you find the note with the item you're looking for, it'll say something to the effect of "Right Hand - Brass Hammered" and then have a little midi connector icon. Click that, it'll turn red. From there, you can hit a midi note and it'll learn that note. Just make sure you're sending midi to the plugin at that time!
      Hope that helps. :) Thank you for your comment! AND don't forget to save the midi map when you're done haha

    Is this all pre-mixed? You do a ton of tweaking and processing in the plugin to get these sounds?

    • @philzeo
      @philzeo  Před 2 lety

      There are some presets that have mixing on them, but the presets I chose didn't have any eq or post processing on them at all. These are the sounds right out of the gate! They sound awesome, right?! 😂

    I just downloaded this on my m2 pro. I have Ventura and it cant seem to be validated by logic. I tried rescanning and that didnt work. Tried restarting my macbook and that didnt work either. is there something im missing?

      Apple computers don't always let you install plugins without also going to the system settings, and then opening the security settings and then manually allowing the plugin to load. I got rid of all my apple computers a long time ago because it was annoying having to manually validate 500+ plugins every time I installed updates.

    hi...is it possible to route individual tracks in the daw...kick...snare etc

    • @philzeo
      @philzeo  Před 2 lety

      Yes it is! I do that all the time with this drum sampler!

    Can you sample replace real drum recordings using this?

    • @philzeo
      @philzeo  Před rokem

      You would have to trigger MIDI to send to this, since it doesn't have built in audio detection. However, there are plenty of tools to trigger midi with, even in reaper by default. So if you're interested in seeing how that's done, let me know and I'll make a video on it!

      @@philzeo would be awesome if you made a vid on it! I’d also like to know how to get all the Ghost notes properly sampled with the lower velocity samples, if possible

    • @philzeo
      @philzeo  Před rokem

      @@jacobnewcomb Ghost notes are tricky. Some drum samplers don't actually have ghost notes, or they use a different articulation entirely for ghost notes. So if D1 is snare, and E1 is rim shot, D#1 may be ghost notes and C#1 may be stick clicks. In some programs, at least. It's worth looking into the capabilities of whichever program you're using to see how it handles ghost notes. :)

    Is it easy to map with an ekit? And does it allow drum bleed across the tracks for realism?

    • @philzeo
      @philzeo  Před rokem +2

      It is VERY easy to map with an ekit. I do it all the time! And then you can save ekit mapping presets very easily. When it comes to bleed, I actually have no idea. I don't typically use bleed even in plugins that offer them, so I wouldn't really know. I like clean directs, and then I get the gel from the overheads and rooms lol

      @CMDRUMS76 Před rokem +1

      Thank you for the reply! I do online drum recordings and clients like the realism of an acoustic kit. So I use GGD and they have 3 different room mics and 2 sets of overheads, so I route them to the toms so that can create “bleed”… but that’s how I get around that.

    Is this compatible with studio one 4?

    • @philzeo
      @philzeo  Před rokem +1

      Yessir! I've used it as far back as studio one version 2, and I have friends who have it on 5. It should work perfectly in any modern daw!
