This man is a legend in drumming. He has influenced a lot of drummers around the world for decades, and mixed metal drumming with tribal drumming. He saw beyond. This is what creativity really means. Nowadays, there are a lot of technical drummers (sometimes boring drummers), of course, but Iggor Cavalera gave an inmense change of perspective in metal.

I am a long-term Sepultura fan my parents would never allow me to see them live until I was an adult. I finally got a chance to see Sepultura but not until after Max left the band. The show was great but not the same. Your most recent cavalera conspiracy show in SF changed my life forever. So many of the fans in attendance felt the same, and that is they would never get a chance to see roots in its entirety. To this day that was my favorite show of all time. It was at Slim's in SF and I had seen Overkill the week before. The energy at the Cavalier show was a night and day difference from the week before. I was very heartbroken from your split, but going that night reinforced why I love the Cavalier brothers so much. Thank you so much for the reunion and bringing roots to its entirety live. I discovered Sepultura shortly after I started playing drums in 1994. Up til then I'd been listening to Metallica, Megadeth, just branching out into Pantera, and when I heard 'Chaos AD', the drums blew me away. I hadn't heard the rhythmic tribal drumming Iggor was playing on this album before. Toms used as percussion rather than just fills. Likewise Machine Head's 'Burn My Eyes' where Chris Kontos played the verses of 'A Nation on Fire' on toms rather than traditional snare-hi hat-kick playing. Iggor was a massive influence on me as a young drummer, and I've never failed to be impressed with his playing. I saw him and Max do the Beneath Arise show in London in the tail end of 2019, and it was just such a joy to watch Iggor playing - it literally made my heart race - something I'd waited for for a long long time.

I saw Sepultura on New Titans on the Block tour in Cleveland at the Agora. Best show I've been to and I've been to thousands of shows, mostly metal. Sepultura were into their 5th or 6th song, i can't remember exactly but i know it was off Arise, when Iggor stopped playing and came off the drum riser. Apparently this huge security guard was getting too rough with kids that were crowd surfing and Iggor had seen enough! Iggor squares off with this giant man and was ripping him a new one for hurting his fans. Iggor banished the security guard from the stage with a hand gesture and like David slaying Goliath, this huge tough guy hung his head in shame and walked off the stage. Iggor, experiencing a surge of adrenalin from the confrontation, returned to his drums and i have never seen another human play the drums like he did the rest of the show. I'm a drummer too, and i was 19 when i saw this, and it has been the biggest influence on my drumming to this day. The next day at my band's practice i started hitting hard, trying to play like Iggor, and have been a hard hitting drummer ever since. Iggor is the man!🤟

My respects to my idol, because Iggor lit me on the drums (not only the virtual ones), but this is a mockery. The show of the video has nothing to do with the original. The stupid thing is that this is your best creation, and you showed it as a beginner in music. There are a lot of "ghost notes" missing, in some places you save effort. You are a great drummer and I will always follow your work, but my expectation was much higher. No bad feelings - one of your most loyal fans.
