If you notice the suit that Bulletproof it's wearing, it's the suit that the costume designer was trying to give away to invincible in the beginning of the series.
When I saw that for the first time that was hilarious, the suit art wanted to give away since it’s old stock or sum

@@skylofter6840maybe they’ll explain it in the show not sure but in the comics he’s also a major dick. If I remember correctly in the comics he basically explains that he doesn’t want to get close to anyone or form attachments because he knows that everyone will die before him ( cause he’s yk… immortal lol). I think given enough time they’ll explore more of that in the show and it’ll start making more sense why he acts the way he does

10:25 Probably a Luke Cage reference, but also he is wearing the suit Mark rejected in season 1, has a watered down version of Mark's powers, and even his superhero name has a pretty similar thing goimg for it.
"Bulletproof" and that suit were actually from Kirkman's concept work from the original comic as well.
Its foreshadowing for something that happens in the comics
I accidentally skipped forward at 15:10 and got jumpscared by Eric sneezing.
So, some notes here pertaining to the end of last season, since it's been a while:
- Nolan left after his and Mark's fight, no one knows where he is currently or if he's even alive
- Donald died in an explosion trying to buy time to stop Omni-Man
- Allen is on his way back to the Coalition of Planets to inform them of Mark/Invincible, a Viltrumite not affiliated with the Empire and who can assist the cause
- To the world at large, everyone thinks Omni-Man's civilian identity Nolan Grayson died in the same explosion that killed Donald (a "gas explosion")
- Mars is currently being ravaged by Sequids, because a Martian swapped places with one of the Earth astronauts, leaving him to be taken over by the Sequids.

I probably annoy some people by now with commenting this on quite a few videos ... 😁 but I say it again, the boys are very forgetful. They forget a lot of things between seasons and even during them. Some people have a better memory some less. The crew tends an unusual amount more to the latter. It has it's advantages and disadvantages.
@@RufusNasedo well I mean to be fair, it's been 3 whole damn years since season 1 came out as of this month. We waited 2 and a half years for half of season 2, only for the producers to make us wait nearly half a year AGAIN for the second half, for pretty much no reason.

I'm astounded by the number of reaction channels that don't realize the first scene can't be the main universe because Rudy got a body in season 1, and his orignal self died. I thought that was a major plotpoint. I guess not for most people 🤣
In the end of the comics run, Rudy’s new body ends up still getting progressively worse because of his mind. And it’s like a self fulfilling prophecy, he fixes his body, and it will always end up in the same situation that he started in.

I mean that's how the comics did it so they just stuck to the source material
Pretty sure this isn't a spoiler because it seems like the show is playing with a smaller roster than the entirety of Image Comics, but related to the Giant in a small crossover run called The Pact, Mark teams up with a character who's story mostly revolves around his dad being King of the Monsters and his mom being a human lady and they have split custody and his main ally is the CIA agent serving as his case worker. I hope Invincible has the time for occasional comic goofiness like that

Still don't understand why Angstrom didn't teleport Mark or the Maulers beating him away before stupidly taking off the helmet. My only gripe with the episode.
because when he was using that machine, he was very busy trying not to explote in the process.
He wouldn't be able to teleport the maulers against their will he'd have to coordinate with Mark to teleport him somewhere but given he was half dead teleporting him to another universe would be even more dangerous.
they were all close to eachother probably hard to do it in that case.

Small pet peeve in the dialogue for Multiverse Man when he says “most” other dimensions. If there’s an infinite number of dimensions… then there’d really be an infinite number of dimensions where he joined his dad *and* where he didn’t. I don’t think you can really say “most of infinity is this way.”
Think of it as a die with five red sides and one blue side. Yes, in an infinite series of rolls you would get an infinite number of blues, but if you were to pick a random roll from that series it is still more likely to be red than blue.

I interpret that as him having traveled through a ridiculously large number of dimensions and based his perspective on what he’s seen. The important thing about that is just that there are a LOT of dimensions within the immediate “vicinity” of this one where Mark joined Nolan.
But yes, you’re right. If there are an infinite number of dimensions, then there are an infinite number of those where Mark joined and where Mark didn’t. Infinity works in strange ways lol.

If it’s truly *infinite* and its a *multiverse* that only exists because of small minute changes between each universe, than there would have to be functionally infinite copies of essentially the same Earth story. Of *any* Earth story you could tell. Because the universes split when a change happens, not just a change on Earth. Which means there could be infinite universes where Earth looks exactly the same in all it’s history and those universe exist because of differing events on other planets. And that

Edit: Potential spoilers for the rest of season 2? Angstroms character really breaks my heart because you can clearly see how much he’s suffered in each universe and the good he wants to do. The line “I won’t build my utopia with blood.” Is very powerful. Then later when he is haunted by his alternates memories and can’t distinguish who he is it drives him to insanity. Angstrom could’ve done so much good if not for the Maulers being dicks.

physical strength and being impervious to damage are two different things! (though invincible seems a little less invincible than some might think lol! so it was prob more that he was on the ground when the explosion went off)

13:48 I just realized, does this mean a team of Mauler clones could take down a weaker Viltrumite like the Knife hair lady Mark fought and was evenly matched against?
The way I see it, she probably would've obliterated the Maulers unless they all got ahold of her at once.
Mark's whole thing is that, even though he was kinda mad going into the Mauler fight, he's still always subconsciously holding back.
He could've obliterated the Maulers if he just flew off the handle and was full of bloodlust, Ponytail Knife Lady has that viltrumite ferocity, she wouldn't have held back against them.
I just need confirmation because I swear to god I'm in an alternate universe. Did you guys upload the first 4 when they were releasing then delete them to reupload when the second half came out?

The beginning of this episode confused the hell out of me.
"Most other dimensions." The problem I have with this statement is that "most" doesn't fit into the concept of infinity.
It actually does. You can have infinite universes with weighted probabilities such that universes are more likely to have one set of conditions than others.
Take a dice with 5 blue sides and 1 red side. Roll it an infinite number of times.
Now there are infinite reds and infinite blues. But if you picked any one dice roll, odds are 5/6 it will be blue.
Same is true here. Certain outcomes remain uncommon even if there's an infinite number of them.
You can look into Georg Cantor, a famous mathmatician behind Set Theory which proves that some infinities are larger than others.
I guess Blindwave isn't reacting to X-Men 97? Seems right up their ally and it's not like them to miss a marvel show.

I’m so glad the multiverse shit was only in this episode, and now that it looks like it’s (unfortunately) coming back I hope it’s over quickly. I could not care less about seeing different versions of the characters we know, it has been done to DEATH at this point.
the multiverse thing is not actually over, but it has nothing to do with the current trend of doing multiverse shit, its part of the comics, and they came waaay before this trend, but the comic readers said that its very well done in the comics, so I assume it will be in the show too
The comics don't use the multiverse in a "Here's something you already know but a little different" way, that's all I'll say. They do use in a more ingenious yet restricted way
The comics are old at this point, and the multiverse plot line is too important to the plot to remove.
