My granddaughter, she’s 3, wanted to make her mom a card…immediately, thought of the smoosher…she was able to “paint” the card stock, then cut out some flowers for her card….she was so proud of her Mother’s Day card….thx so much for this fantastic idea!!!!
How lovely! So glad you had that special time together. :)
Smoking idea is wonderful, thanks so much for sharing
Thanks! x
So simple but so effective 🙌 Gorgeous card too 😊
Thanks so much 😊
I love this idea!
Thank you! x
Love the card, its gorgeous! I need to add making another type of smoosher to my 'to do list'! xxx💖💖💖
Go for it!
I really like your smooshers... Going to make both the plain and the bubble wrap
Have fun!
Love the technique
Thank you! x
Children would have a all with this😉
Absolutely! x
I like the idea of putting pigment powder on the bubble wrap. So many fun things to try!
Have fun! x
Love using bubble wrap In Cardmaking. So much fun. Your card is beautiful. 😍
Thank you so much!
Thank you Natalie for mentioning my name. I haven't tried this yet but thinking about adding netting around the smoosher. Maybe even adding it to the bubble wrap one as well. It could be like a pinafore for the smoosher. LOL! Need to try other types of fabric with texture too ... burlap, fun foam or felt with shapes cut out of it or maybe shapes added to it, window screen with holes cut out, etc.
Ooh! The possibilities are endless! :)
Love the different texture the bubble wrap provides. Thanks for the many great smoosher ideas. I sometimes also like to use a simple piece of acetate to ‘smoosh’ or blend my inks onto card as this gives a very smooth watercolor effect and can be used for softer backgrounds. You made a really stunning card and I can’t wait to try it ❤️
Thanks so much! x
The first time I saw your “original” smoosher I was blown away way with your ingenuity!! It’s still my favorite
Thanks so much! x
I love that you kept the hexagon die pieces in the die and then transferred them to the card panel. What an easy wash to keep them all lined up 🤓
Thanks, Janet!
It is so fun to play with textures,,paints and shapes…and colors..thank you so very much
It really is fun! Thanks for watching, Paula. :)
3 great techniques and a lovely card.
Glad you like them!
Great way to reuse packaging! Keeps it out of the landfill! Thank you!

You're very welcome, as always! :)
Great technique-gorgeous card! x x
Thanks so much!
I’ve used bubble wrap on my gel plate but never thought of using it with pigment powders or as an ink applicator - thanks for sharing this and the lovely card.
Glad it was helpful!
I am hooked on the first smoosher. Gonna have to try that bubble wrap now! 😉 Thanks.
Go for it! :)
Beautiful card Natalie!
Thanks, Debbie! x
Lovely card!! I will be making the smooshers for sure!!
Great! Have fun. x
Just love it that you can improvise with bubble wrap and cling film to make stunning cards without buying the expensive alternatives. It's certainly made me look at things that I would normally throw away, e.g. the bobbly inner wrapper of a box of chocolates that I've just had for my birthday.
Brilliant! Sounds like a great way of adding ink. x
I now need to get some bubble wrap.... love this new smoosher..
Great! Have fun. x
Your smoosher was a gamechanger for me - such a brilliant idea! 💡I like to be creative but have a bit of a control issue. 🤣 How wonderful it is to have 3 different options!! Actually, 4 options because bubble wrap comes in small and large sizes. Thank you to your subscribers who passed this along and thank you to YOU for all the great ideas! 🩷🩷🩷
You're so welcome! I need to get my hands on some of that big bubble wrap - that would make a great smooshing tool. x
@@nbcascards There are actually 3 sizes of bubbles. Who knew?? 😊 3/16", 5/16" and 1/2". Not very much difference in the small and medium, but the large bubbles would probably be too large for cardmaking. I suppose you could use the large size on a 12x12" paper and then cut it down, but even then, I think it may be too large of a size bubble?
Love the effects you got from the bubble wrap and the card is gorgeous. Thanks Natalie x
You are so welcome!
The bubble wrap smoosher leaves the coolest impressions- thanks for showing 3 different ways to use it. And thanks to your crafty friends for suggesting it. Your card came out lovely as always. -Sarah
Thanks, Sarah! x
clever.
Thanks! x
Such a lovely card. Love the bubble wrap. Thank you for sharing. 😻
You are so welcome!
Lovely card. Sorry, I don't do Facebook so I'll say here. In the past I have used clingfilm slightly scrunched, gives quite a cool effect.
Great idea, going to try that too! Thanks👍
Thanks, Kathy! Clingfilm is great for adding texture. x
What a great idea for a smoother. Thank you, Natalie.
Thanks, Jan! You're very welcome as always. :)

Beautiful card and great technique
Thanks, Sally! x
love smooshing and bubblewrap (must stop popping the bubblewrap though!!!) 😀
Once you pop, you can't stop! ;)
I would never have thought of using bubble wrap! Pretty sure I have some around here. I need to think a bit about what else could be used for the smoosher
Thanks, Julie! If you discover anything else for smooshing with, let me know. x
Step one: do NOT pop your bubble wrap
LOL! Indeed. x
Natalie, I would be interested to hear more about your Silhouette sentiments. Do you use print & cut or do you have a Pixscan mat?
I also have a silhouette, would like to hear more about it
I have a Silhouette Cameo 3, and I create my sentiments using the text function in the Silhoutte Studio software, with free fonts that I've downloaded from dafont.com. Once I've filled a page with sentiments, I print them on my Canon G5000 series inkjet printer and then cut them with my cameo using a regular cutting mat. Hope that helps! x
@@nbcascards do you set up your page of sentiments as a print and cut with the registration marks?
@@lynettelemon9274 I would like to know that too, I almost think so
Yes, I do. I print with registration marks. That's the only way I know to get accurate cutting around printed words and images.
Could you use ink refills in lieu of piwders
I think that would work well. :)
Thinking ...would a medication blister pack work?
Oooh. Let us know!
Acetate would also work as a smoosher.
Give it a go, and let us know how it turns out. :)
Acetate and clear plastic packaging are great for smooshing. x
Screwed up clingfilm for another smoosher?
Give it a go! :)
Oops smooshed
what is the name of that hexi die and where did you find it?
