    as an emetophobe, it means a lot to have people like me talk about their experiences with the phobia! it’s reassuring to know that it’s manageable if i decide to get pregnant someday. im so glad you and baby are healthy! i look forward to following the rest of your journey ❤

      Of course! And it definitely is manageable! It’s rough but I’m not as nervous for future pregnancies because I know how to manage it now!

    I am a SEVERE emetophobe. I'm getting pretty old to have a safe pregnancy (33), and your vlog honestly makes me feel better. You even had a smile on your face! Do you find filming helps you? I hope you know you're helping people

      Thank you so much! And that’s not weird at all, honestly it makes me so happy because that was my goal when I decided to start opening up and sharing my pregnancy journey! When I first got diagnosed with gastroparesis 5 years ago, I was immediately worried about not being able to be a good mom but over the years I learned that that’s not true and I am capable of a lot more than I thought despite my chronic illnesses! And I wanted to show others that too!

    I must’ve taken more than 20 pregnancy tests at the start of this pregnancy. I’d had 2 early miscarriages before and wanted to see those tests getting darker. I’m now nearly 27 weeks, feeling our little boy move around so much is absolutely amazing. Wishing you all the best with the rest of the pregnancy ❤

    The queeze ease is the best. I got it at a few hospital stays ago & it helps me so much, especially when my meds haven’t kicked in yet. I’m so glad that your doing well (the best you can be). Take it one day and step at a time. Make sure to get rest and nap, lots of naps. A trick to help ease the nausea when I was pregnant, try to not let the stomach empty. Ik it sounds ironic but it helped. (Note the gastroparesis came later in life, so it was totally different for me, but you got this!!!!!!) I’m so glad you’re back on YT. You’ve been missed. Can’t wait to see the journey!

    I’ve been following you for years and am so happy that you are starting your family. We share very similar chronic illnesses/symptoms so I’ve always loved hearing someone talk about similar situations as me. I have always worried about how starting my own family will look like. Has your doctors talked about how your pregnancy could affect your feeding tube? I can never find much research about women who become pregnant while also keeping their feeding tubes. ❤

    • @KennaKrueger
      @KennaKrueger  Před 4 měsíci

      For my doctor and my situation specifically all I had to do was get a tube change before I started trying because you can’t get them changed while pregnant due to radiation! The plan is to just keep the same tube the whole time as long as it stays put!

    I also take Unisom for my insomnia now for years. It’s the best over the counter sleep aid in my opinion. Insurance wise, we are also on affordable care act insurance for many years now also being self employed and it been great. When you sign up at beginning of the year, only look at options that allows you to go to the health care provider you want.

    • @KennaKrueger
      @KennaKrueger  Před 4 měsíci

      This was personally my first year on it so it was just an adjustment! Also the main issue was we got this insurance before pregnancy and we didn’t know the OB and hospital I would be using only accepted two out of the many marketplace plans (and this was the only OB I could get into)! Offices in our area seem to be stingy on the marketplace plans they accept so it wasn’t necessarily frustration on the marketplace end just how it felt like we had very few options and we ended up paying a lot more for insurance each month than we were expecting because of the very limited options. But I’m thankful now because we ended up finding a really good insurance from there!

  • @lizzzzzzzz
    @lizzzzzzzz Před 4 měsíci

    GURL i totally know what you mean about the marketplace!!! so frustrating. like i needed an oral surgery and i could only go to ONE person. it was fine, but so annoying not to have any choice in my community. and i found this out because i had had a consult with another practice and they explained it and i had to still pay them out of pocket. i am so broke that now i am on medicaid and there are constraints on where you can go, but usually it's because a lot of places just don't want to deal with getting the boards for it. BUT i don't have to pay for ANYTHING, no copays and so i have great care and full options for any testing or imagine or whatever i need. and the crazy thing is, is with my numerous mental health issues and health problems (i take motegrity and have GI problems too), i would have to choose better employment based on insurance. and with all the appointments i have, even if i got a job for 30k a year if the insurance deductible is super high i may as well stay at the job i currently have. it's just crazy how things work. anyways im so glad you like your OBGYN and your insurance stuff got sorted out. i am so happy for you, and i have really loved watching you and your loved ones celebrate. it's awesome! take care!!

    • @KennaKrueger
      @KennaKrueger  Před 4 měsíci

      I used to be but not anymore because there isn’t much research around Motegrity and pregnancy! It depends on your use! Motegrity is the only med that helps the stomach and colon. My colon is super slow as well and when that gets worse my stomach gets worse so even though Trulance technically only helps the colon for me it somewhat helps the stomach just by keeping my intestines working! Other drugs like Trulance are linzess and amitiza! I think the only one that was considered “safe” during pregnancy was Trulance which is why we decided on that one
