Good video Saketh.........But I feel the low vix is the reason why this strategy is giving low return this year.........not only this almost every non-directional selling strategies are giving very less returns this year and I don't think returns are based on strategies........IT'S BASED ON OUR OWN PSYCHOLOGY and may be some tweaks in strategy.

Some tweaks will definetly work, but the problem is if it goes public people will start copying and ends up with same 9 20 straddle fate

Bhai technical analysis is the gold mantra. Such a successful person saying technical analysis is failing is surprising.
I am not saying it's failing the effectiveness has reduced. By the way I am not say this. There is a lot of research which shows how the effectiveness has come down
Change is the only constant, as a trader we need to keep adapting & innovating to have an edge in order to survive for long time

My unpopular opinion as a seller:
Long straddle is a great strategy if done with strict SL. One day of profit in long position can cover one whole week's sideways market decay. And one trending day per week is highly likely (usually it's more than one)

the main reason is that Market withstands all newer approaches! It will slowly get "USED TO" those strategies and act accordingly AS a strategy becomes more popular.
It happens with every single strategy. So you literally have to Tweak any strategy every 2 years or so it seems.

So, the 'Opportunity Theory' would probably apply to Trading as a whole (irrespective of Selling or Buying) because more and more people are opening DMat accounts and becoming (at least trying to become) Traders in India now....

I think Indirectly he is telling stop taking courses on trading because as many people taking increases its going to become less effective. then again u have to take new courses and this will become cycle for ever.
Can you make point based Rolling straddle in fintarget? For ex. If i want to move straddle for every 200points movement in BN. The system shld close old straddle and shld open a new straddle without target or stoploss.
