@@jonas8993 I'd say so. Zhang got broken twice by details, and couldn't really do anything against Zverev when he was serving, but he played alright
I really wish Cerundolo could improve his level of concentration throughout his matches. He is such a talented player, but for some reason, he often loses focus and ends up losing matches that he could have won.
Rune vs Fils match is the perfect example of what happens when a bullie finds a tougher one.
Fils might be top 15 very soon.

@@turntech4776 I've always thought this as well. Shelton has never done anything against tennis etiquette as far as I know. As a matter of fact I root for him any time I see him play, people just don't like the way he yells on the court for some reason, any other reason why they dont like him is pure bullshit and doesn't have any merit.

Yeah, and his mindset. It seems as if Fils has decided that anyone has to be beat him by playing their best; he is not giving the match away to anyone anymore. Good thing is his unforced errors are not too many, and his shots and tactics are not too bad either. I think he used to play as if the other guy would make more errors and give him the match.

Zverev really looks confident, solid and robust in accordance with Wimbledon. My favorite tennis competitor is determined to solidify this title on home soil.

Soooo what’s the problem of Rune? The guy seems fit and technically sound but he just can’t seem to reach deep into tournaments. Consistency? Mindset? Strategy?
Mindset/strategy and occasionally his fitness. Seems like a hard worker but his stamina has let him down a couple times. The issue is lack of identity, you can see it most clearly in his loss to Casper ruud at the French open in 2023. He doesn’t know how he wants to play, he switches between defensive, offensive, mixing and matching. He’s got all the tools, and he’s got them in spades, arguably the best backhand with a great serve and a phenomenal forehand at times with one of the best slices and the best feel around the net and his movement is great! He just doesn’t know what to DO with all of it, he’s practiced and put into play too many different things and when he starts losing he shuffles through play styles and they don’t work because he doesn’t commit.
What’s going on with Zhang’s hair?

Zverev needs to be careful about how many times he's hitting his backhand with his body leaning past his toes. That's part of what eventually led to Murray's condition now.
As much as I don't like my college tennis coach, I understood very early on that this is a bad thing that will have repercussions.
Whoever is reading this, remember to try not to let your body go past your toes. Improve your balance and hip mobility and elasticity as well as strength and try to maintain that and you decrease your chances of suffering the lower back and hip injuries.
The way arthur fils is playing... I think he can "easily" defeat zverev and win the title (though i thought it would be a super close encounter b/w zverev and zhang💀)
Fils couldn’t beat Zverev on grass. Don’t think he can do it on clay. But who knows. Zverev hasn’t lost to anyone outside the top 10 except for Fritz on grass this year if I’m not mistaken. Maybe the strongest year zverev had. For sure one of the best years. Not easy to beat him. Especially on clay. Especially in his hometown.

What you don’t see in the highlights are the things that make zverev so good unfortunately. It’s the boring stuff, the consistency, the backcourt pressure, the 80 something percentage first serves, sometimes even 90 percent for a whole set. I dislike zverev but he’s the clear favourite
