Please never stop posting your weekly wash n go's!!!! I get SO excited when I see a new post! Your technique and knowledge on proper natural hair-care is unmatched and your videos are constructed immaculately! You are absolutely incredible 💘
I really appreciated the breakdown/commentary on how this wash and go went for you. Understanding your thought process on the products you chose and how you think they're useful to your hair was interesting. Especially with this series, it's cool to know why you're pairing certain products together and what doesn't work for you. Great video.
Hey y'all. I got it up Sunday, just when all yall were asleep lol! Week 24 was a success. It lasted 7 days strong 💪 I kept saying featherweight instead of featherlight styling cream 😅 but yall know what I meant! Let me know what you think of this video and if you enjoyed it. What was the most helpful part? And do y'all like seeing day 1 and the last day, or all the days? LMK p.s. I'm still working on the lighting and setting 🤗
Girl I thumbs up before I even watch the video because I know it's going to be good 😂 Appreciate you taking the time to talk us through your process! And I enjoy when you show us your weekly results. Great wash day!
Love how you make all your videos. I would like to see how you style a section of hair in reall motion. Like how long do you smoove for and rake for. I love seeing all the days. To see how your hair progresses
Thank you so much for sharing the frequency of how often you wash your hair. I faithfully wash every Saturday because I’m too busy during the week to do it midweek. I enjoy washing my hair and entertain the thought of midweek washes but I just am exhausted when I get home! I love a long lasting Wash n go
Absolutely. I struggle with going back-and-forth because mid week washes would benefit the hydration of my hair tremendously. I’ve noticed a huge difference between when I do a midweek wash towards the beginning of my big chop versus now. The hydration levels are completely different. I am considering doing a co-wash midweek. I tend to go back-and-forth on the subject, but we shall see. Thanks for sharing!
It’s honestly crazy how we could literally be siblings. Exact same hair texture and I dare say we look similar. Just subscribed bc I’m sure I’ll find some great tips watching your vids~
I don’t like products foaming up on my hair as well. Usually products like that have zero slip and causes my hair to feel rough and tangle. I like smooth slippery products especially with leave ins and stylers
I agree. It’s as if my hair starts to get to clumped together, but then somehow it gets tangled when it begins to foam up. I think at first I thought it was a good thing, but I realize that it dried differently in a bad way. I noticed that raking is what caused it a lot of the times. I want to start doing a lot more smoothing than raking in my products.
Looks good, and has a nice sheen. I received some of the sample Climate control products last year as well. Except for the shampoo I used them up with one wash. Of course, the video is great all of your videos have high quality. For me, it's just the fun of watching someone who keeps hair care simple and down to cleanse, condition and style. I'm good with either way of showing the weekly progress. I also love that you want to grow your hair as long as it will grow. I held mine at hip length for two years and just decided to let it grow longer about four months ago. Since my scalp is oily I actually do my hair every 4 - 5 days. So keeping the process simple is very helpful, and I don't have to be concerned about it lasting for a week.
@@BrittanyMia You will get there. You have a simple routine, you understand your hair, and you have a great stylist to help you along the way it's a recipe for success.
I always come back to this video, your hair always looks amazing me but this is my favorite wash and go combo you ever did! Love the way your hair looks here.
I miss using the Curly magic in my routine, for the looked that it gives. I haven’t been using it for most of 2023, but now that I’m doing bonding treatments and more protein treatments in my hair, as well as using leave in, I won’t deal with as much Hygral fatigue from how hydrating that product is. This is also one of my favorite looks!
@@michelleperez9621 the products I use currently are on my channel. I’ve been trying different products all year so each week that I post I’ve been showing all the different products. I don’t have core products yet. I found some, but I’ll talk about that more towards the end of the year in December. The goal is to find the products I love and now that I found some I enjoy, I can focus on those products and how they fit into my routine and work for my hair going into 2024.
Love your weekly wash&go. ICH definitely foams on my hair but it does provide slip as well. However the UFD has a tendency to cause tangling even with lots of water. I think I will try the Quidad detangling spray to see if that helps with product application. Do I need the cream as well? Keep the content coming 🧡
Yeah, the uncle funky’s curly magic really does get my hair tangled up sometimes and I’m trying to eliminate that as much as possible but it may just be par for the course with that product. I absolutely adore the kinky curly custard because my hair doesn’t tangle with that and it gives me the best results. I have a ton of the salon sized bottles of uncle funky’s, so it’ll be a while until I transition to a different base gel. The detangling spray did help a little. You don’t need the cream, it’s just a nice addition. I say, trying the detangling spray by itself first is a good way to go as opposed to using them both, and you can determine which you like better, the combination of the two or them by themselves. if you do get them both, I’d say get the smaller sizes to test out before buying full-size products.
What state or climate are you in? Your hair came out beautifully but I feel like her in hot ass humid Florida my hair would never dry if I layered gels and would take even longer to dry
Lasted very well and looks good. I love the Ouidad gel, but I agree i need to apply on "weight down" hair otherwise I end up with a very fluffy wash n go, almost afro style. By day 3-4 I need to wash again.
YES it will literally turn into a fro. The beginning of this video is the result of a foam and Ouidad gel wash and go. It lasted 1 day (barely) and then I wore it in a puff for the remainder of the week.
I really appreciate your videos. I have been trying so hard to find a routine that works for me. I have the same hair as you and it has been so challenging finding a good routine. I just purchased the drier you recommended and these products! Quick Question what heat setting do you put on? I find that when drying I either have it to high or to low. Thank you for all you do!
The amount of hair in your comb (brush???) After the shampoo was astounding to me. My hair sheds so much that I honestly wonder if I'm going bald every time I put any tools to it
Haha it’s a comb. I’ll lose a lot less hair when I shampoo detangle because I’m not fully and completely detangling. I’m just doing a little so that it’s not half as tangled during the conditioning process when I detangle with a brush. I feel you, because I have pictures of what looks like clumps of hair from detangling with tools. The only thing that has helped me is washing my hair, at least once a week and shampoo detangling before going in with a brush during the conditioning process.
Hey Okerokeka, I used to shed ALOT on my wash day as well maybe 3 to 4 times than what she showed in this video for similar length. This, for me, was a product build up issue that caused my hair to be brittle, dry and prone to breakage. This was when I was using the LO (leave in, then oil to ‘seal’) method and not using a proper shampoo that was strong enough to remove all that product. I now clarify once a month and on a weekly basis I use regular shampoo on first rinse then a moisturizing shampoo on second rinse then a rinse out conditioner. Night and day difference in the health of my hair and i’ve been natural for over a decade. Hope this helps!
I appreciate it. Because I’m recording, It takes me about 5 to 6 hours from start to finish. It’s mainly camera set up stuff because without that it would take me half the time.
My texture is very similar to yours, just a bit longer and very hi porosity. My latest wash and go was not amazing; used a gel I ended up not liking and it flaked, (but it lasted 6 days) so I’m using your vid’s to psyche me up for wash day
I love the results from this wash n go and the longevity is insane!! 💗💗 But do you believe that the climate control products actually help with shrinkage in the humidity? 🤔
I actually do, just not as a complete fix. It was rainy during Thanksgiving break, and my hair held up very well. It didn’t shrink as much as I anticipated, especially the top of my hair.
New subscriber here. Thanks for sharing your hair journey with us. I love how thorough your videos are. Just wondering have you ever considered using some of your humectant rich serum like gels as a base gel? For example using the Ouidad Climate control gel as a base underneath the Featherlight Styling Cream or the Innersense I Create Volume as a base under the I Create Hold. I've recently been enjoying serum like gels as a base because they give me the slip of a leave in conditioner without interfering with the hold of my topper gel. They also give me extra hold with my cream stylers that I wasn't getting before when I was putting the cream down first and the gel on top.
I’ve used the Ouidad moisturizing styling gel as a base gel, and it always looks great the day of. But I find that humectant rich serum-like gels don’t hold up well, and sometimes only last for a day or two. I’ve also tried using a cream over a gel, and it caused frizz for me. For example, I tried using the Innersense quiet, calm curl control styling cream over the uncle funky’s daughter curly magic, and it immediately begin to cause frizz. I have not tried the Innersense I Create Volume under the I Create Hold. I’m curious to see how that would work out, so thank you for the suggestion.
I have fine strands towards the front of my hair and medium strands in the back. Do you think shampoo detangling still okay if I go slowly? Awesome video as usual. Thank you Luv. 💖
I think that it’s worth a try. I suggest finger detangling first as much as you can before going in with a comb. I typically separate my hair first and then going with a comb but for fine strands I would definitely take my time. Thank you ❤️
