Am I the only one who thinks Bootuz deserved that win? Issue's sets looked routine and beat hitting was mechanical. Bootuz actually looked like he danced to the music. This is first and foremost a dance people!

I'll have you know that in the 6 months since this comment was posted, I have grown and evolved to see the truth in what you say. Nowadays I couldn't agree more with you. Basics and foundation have changed and will continue to change as long as this dance stays around. Thanks for putting that thought in my head brotha. Got nothing but love for you. Footwork and toprock BASICS will stay the same. Everyone has different style and therefore applies their dance to music differently. But FOUNDATION will always have the same definition. And foundation moves, six-step, babylove, cross-step, kick-step, will always be the same because they are foundation moves. Foundation is simply what breaking was built on and therefore it will stay the same.

Bootuz had a higher difficulty level? Not really considering his power is somewhat basic, and he did not incorporate more not even close. The 1st round was close coulda gone either way, the 2nd round issue took it by a long shot, When bootuz tried to german mill he wiped out. If anything this battle should have had a tie breaker, the fact that bootuz took both rounds is crazy

What I will not do however, is bash Issue. I admit, that hand thing in his first set was a little weird, but i found it cool. I respect Issue for being a bboy and I also respect MoO very much, so I can't bash them. But I will say this : Style has changed and received a new definition, but foundation has not. Foundation is not any individual moves. Foundation is a dancer's own relation to the music and their interpretation of music into their moves. That's foundation.

style can only go so far esp when you dotn have good music to hit intricate beats and have to stick to repetative simple stuff. This seems to be teh case. Crashes and all Bootuz had a higher difficulty level in his sets and incorporated more while issue had way more style and originality. Had issue done just a tad more in his first set he would have taken it but he didnt. Thats the thing in battles you have to gauge what moves youre gonna use to make it to the end.

specially?? he didn't crash in his first set... in his second set he crashed once, yes, ONCE! if you knew about bboying you should know that... and the only reason issue desn't "crash" is because everytime he's about to crash he does a jazz split... so it's not considered a crash... and maybe issue was a bit cleaner but he lacked of flow specially at the end of his last set

nothin you said is true at all bro. footwork/toprock basics will not stay the same, advanced footwork/toprocks nowdays will be considered basics in the years 2 come. foundation will not always stay the same, foundation is ever changin with the new styles that come into the dance. 6steo babylove etc are not foundation moves they are foundation basics. foundations moves can be power blowups footwork w.e.you use to incorporate pattern, musicality and clean flow. all 3 is what makes up foundation

Foundation is not always the same child, shows just how much you know about the game, Issue did not crash once, theres a difference between taping and crashing. It was all styles, Day 2 was 1v1 and crew, dont rely on youtube. If your talking about what easyroc said look what storm said about the new styles and evolution b4 redbull. Fyi son, Philly does house some of the rawest, illest bboys out there. Come over here from whatever bumblefuck place you live at where breakin prbably isnt even relevant and watch our bboys and THEN try to tell us we don't know what we're talking about. Sure breaking has changed, but foundation will always be the same.
