    Notice Lin Dan's strategy, he always give clear high shots at the opponents backhand several times in one rally. He rarely gives high clear shots at the forehand side as the opponent can smash or retaliate. Make sure to aim for enemy's weakness, press it and take full control of the rally and when opportunities come, hit a nice clean smash to end it just like how Lin Dan does it.

    • @jamesw2946
      @jamesw2946 Před 9 dny

      I disagree you point for the clear at the baseline. Usually give your opponent fast flat clear is good. But you have to follow his round of head smash from the backhand side. For almost every player, the round of head smash is more powerful than the forehand one. That is why the clear at the backhand side should be high enough to make next rally safe. If you watch the game of Lee zii Jia, he often score by backhand smash for the flat clear of the opponent.

    Everyone knows Lindan, but I think the other player was Bao Chunlai.
    Unlike Lindan, Bao was a shy guy, I met him once in Beijing, very technically strong player, reached world no.1 at a young age.
    If I'm not wrong Bao and Lindan and Lee Chong Wei grow up training and competing together.
    I think a big reason he didn't really reach the same height as the other two was due to his personallity, Lindan as we all know has that confidence and always demanding in an important match.
    Nonetheless, if Bao was 10 years younger, he could easily be the current Chinese no.1 choice, Chinese man's single now is a bit hopeless to be honest
