Ear piercing at 12 or 14 is really no big deal. Traumatizing a baby is. They may not consciously remember but the body keeps score and it stores traumas.
I got mine as a baby and my ears have been pierced since so it is more convenient + no infections. If ur a teen the pain wouldn’t be so bad but the urge to touch it or play with it would probably cause irritation and be more probable for infection. you don’t remember any of it as a baby

It’s piercing guns that are awful to use) As somebody with piercings myself and as somebody who has read up on these things for 10+ years , do your research .

I feel like you should wait till they’re older so they can choose if they want it. And also when they’re responsible enough to take care of it themselves. Because that will also give them an opportunity to learn about things. And also that’s one of the worst ways you can get your ears pierced, there are huge chances of an ear infection because of the way that thing makes a hole in your ears. You should go to a better place where they just put a needle in your ear. I know it’s harder with a baby, but like I said you could just wait. I know it’s too late now I’m just saying my opinion.

Ok all of you guys need to chill it’s their baby and just to let you know I got my ears pierced when I was 2 months old and I just got 4 more ear piercings today. I am so thankful that my parents pierced me when I was younger bc now I can have it and not worry about it closing and if she does decide to take it out when she’s older that’s her choice and that’s completely ok but it’s great to have that option of keeping it or not don’t feel guilty bc that few days of pain is totally worth it and she’s a baby so she just gonna forget so don’t let all these people get to you your a great parent❤❤

Ok all of you guys need to chill it’s their baby and just to let you know I got my ears pierced when I was 2 months old and I just got 4 more ear piercings today. I am so thankful that my parents pierced me when I was younger bc now I can have it and not worry about it closing and if she does decide to take it out when she’s older that’s her choice and that’s completely ok but it’s great to have that option of keeping it or not don’t feel guilty bc that few days of pain is totally worth it and she’s a baby so she just gonna forget so don’t let all these people get to you your a great parent❤❤
tbh i’m glad my parents pierced my ears as a baby cause now i don’t have to cry to get them done. plus if i just don’t want earring holes anymore i can just let it close up

i know so many people don’t agree with piercing ears that young, but as a mexican, i got mine when i was a baby and i love it now because i don’t have to worry about them closing anymore and i don’t remember the pain at all
