A country where property ownership is not seriously taken by the courts, the chiefs, and the citizenry needs to be examined. Is it sickness or what?
Would you ,learned men,ask the Greater Accra minister not to make exemption of those who have ,by way of extant period on the CSIR land to acquire title by way of the period.
You live in someone's house rent-free and still want to be paid? I'd rather rent the house out and make some good money off it. I can stay at a hotel if visiting for few days.
That law is license to steal.
This Adverse Possession provision in Ghana Law was borrowed from Common Law jurisprudence in England. As was said in this video, the Anglo Saxons took lands from conquest, occupied bare land and so on. It was a way of preserving lands for people who did not have title to land apart from those that belonged to The Crown. Now the Ghana law combines common Law and the Coded Law. There should therefore be a clarification on Adverse Possession in Ghana because the legal thinking is quite different.
