@@TeachersTech Hello, there. I am unable to link between sheets using the given formula ?
This is really helpful, like all your videos. I use Conditional Formatting and Data Validation in the original gradebook spreadsheet that I am linking from. Do you know if it is possible for those colors and cell dropdown menus to be automatically copy over or it is case of just ensuring those conditions are set in the new spreadsheet?
Perfectly explained. Thankyou.
Wow , thank you very much , you are such a great teacher.
This is super helpful. Do you know if it is possible to have bidirectional editing between two linked cells in different sheets within the same spreadsheet? ie linking b5 in All schools to c6 in Copperfield but being able to edit either and getting both to change
Hi, I'm from Indonesia.
Thanks for the video because well presented, easy to follow and very useful.

When I add a row to the spreadsheet I import data from it changes the information on my second spreadsheet. Is there a way I can have the second spreadsheet follow the original data (not the assigned cells) that I "Linked to" so I can edit the original spreadsheet?
Excellent video!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
thank you for saving me some time and energy!!!
Thank you so much!!! This resolved my problem!

Greetings! Thank you for your video! Would you be so kind to tell me whether it is possible to create a link that updates automatically? I need to create a table of content for a page in a sheet that has 200+ rows. The table itself will be edited by different people and some chapters might be expanded by adding new rows. In that case, if I create a link to a cell (f.e. B76 with the words “Chapter 3”) and then add new rows before the 76th row - the link will still direct me to B76, while the cell with words “Chapter 3” is in 89th row (B89). Is it any way to solve this issue?
Thank you so much. This was very helpful
THANK YOU! This was what i've been looking for so long...THANK YOU!!!
You're welcome!!
I love you man, you are only you are... thanks a lot from Pakistan
Exactly what I was looking for ❤

Question How can we link 2 different sheets for synchronisation of modifications. For instance sheet 1 is the master. Sheet 2 only some criterias of sheet 1 selected (importrange or else)
If i modify master update automatic on sheet 2
If adding information on sheet 2 how to make it synchronize with master for specific lines ?
Thank you Sir, it helps me a lot!
Fantastic work - Really helped me out.
This is so much easier to learn compared to going to the library...becoming frustrated. This is by far way less frustrating.
this is so helpful omfg bless you!!!
This would be a great one to add to your "Google Sheets Lessons" playlist. I am trying to learn more before a new school year and noticed it's not in that one.
What if I want to dynamically add rows to a spreadsheet?
In my use case I want people to fill up a google form, send that data to a spreadsheet then send it to a different spreadsheet. So each time the form is filled a new row should be added to both the spreadsheets.
You're the man, thank you!
Thank you so much sir! This video helps me a bunch!
You are welcome!
Excellent! Many thanks!
Thank you! Super helpful...
Thank you so much for this video :)
What a pleasure to Learn from you Jamie, Thank you. Might you have a video that might show me how (having used importrange successfully for some 200 rows) the source sheet had come additional formatting too which would be super to reflect in my new LINKED document. A1:W200 - Plus if I wished to make the NEW linked rage READ ONLY - so as to force users to only do updates in the source document - that would be magic!
Thank you for the lesson!
I have a question..I create a model for documents with hundreds of cell intervals (ex.B2:B2) linked between 1 sheet (imput) and other 4 sheets (ouputs) and I want to use it all with different data.
If a create a copy it will create a new link and it should be update for every cell. Is there any way to update the link on the sheets, maybe with a multiple selection? I can't find an answer but I think it should be possible!
Thnks in advance..
Good explanation. Do you have to have the source sheet open to have it update the total sheet? Is there a way to know when the total sheet was last updated from the source sheet?
Thanks a lot, sir. I have learned something new and good today:-)
Great stuff! thank you
you are awesome! what an amazing video!
Awesome video! You are amazing!
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!

I have two sheets(of the same spreadsheet) in my Google Sheets document : one named ‘daily task’ and another named ‘weekly task’. I want to automatically transfer data from the ‘daily task’ sheet to the ‘weekly task’ sheet, which is organized by day. Currently, I have to manually clear the ‘daily task’ sheet and link the data to the next day in the ‘weekly task’ sheet. Is there a way to automate this process?

Thank you so much!
Thank you!! Very helpful. Is there also a way to have the formatting carry over from the original file you're linking too?
Have you figured it out?
Great. Thanks a lot.
Thank you for this!!! is there a way to have two way editing? so if you update in the All Schools tab it will update in the other relevant tab?
Thank you sir!
This is great!!
I have two sheets that are available in my drive in different folders. I am able to open them individually and edit them. I am owner for both the sheets
But, when I refer doc2 in doc1, I am getting a error message that "You don't have permission to access that sheet" and a Learn more link.
I am not getting "Allow Access" button.
Can you please help ?
Is there a way to link separate spreadsheets together but keep hyperlinks active in the master?
THANK YOU!
