So, after watching the cryptic video and listening to the English lyrics. This is what I got from it even though it is cryptic as hell and really disjointed. The girl, like Don Quixote, is in her own fantasy as a way of escape, she was probably influenced by others who did the same. There is also brief scene where you see her without her horns, but she has an IV and on a medical table, indicating that this is possibly she really looks like outside her fantasy, and she is in a hospital with some sort of illness. This is why she resorted to making up her own fantasy to escape her situation. This is where it can get grim. She possibly though about killing herself, like the line, "Kicking the bucket when I had the chance" but changed her mind when she met the people wearing the mask. At first, she finds their actions to be shameful until she got in a very low point in her life that She tried doing what the masked people did and "spin a little lie of a life unlived". And she actually liked it enough to stop trying to commit suicide. You can see her jumping and being happy when she has her horns and dancing with the others with Masks, indicating the fantasy escape. And not looking happy when she doesn't. She probably finds kinship with them since they, like her, don't like their grim reality and wish a better one just to keep on living. She refers to them as "brothers", a clear sign of kinship. The Mask is also an obvious nod to "masking" the truth of their fantasy escape, which they all voluntarily wear, and can remove anytime they want to. This is symbolic as the girl do remove the mask, ending her illusion. But this is only temporary. Like the line, "Playing the part of being sane". She is just pretending to be "sane", but still plans to join her "brothers" soon since it is the only possible thing that kept her from "kicking the bucket".

The MC at first thinks whatever "Obey the name of Quixote" means is a "joke of a philosophy". She thinks of it as "A should of kicked the bucket" while she had the chance. And then, to her surprise, "it" was a big success. I don't think "it" here refers to her kicking the bucket. I think it refers to her trying out obeying the name of Quixote even though she thought of it as a joke. She thought of it as something she should kick the bucket for trying it out. And to her surprise, it works, and she likes it.

here's my theory about the song's meaning (i would post this on the original vid but it's mostly japanese comments and it seems like people here are interested in the meaning of it)
this song seems to follow the story of a hypocrite making fun of people who are delusional like don quixote. the first lyric "are you satisfied" basically means "are you satisfied with your delusions?"
the lyric (using micchi's translyrics) "nothing to my name so i howl in shame" probably means that the main character considers themself a failure in life. then this next lyric is where the hypocritical-ness pops in:
"a thought popped up. what if i spin a little lie of a life unlived?" meaning the main character has become delusional as well.
in the next scene of the animation i think the mask represents the delusion, so basically mask on = they're believing the delusion. also something i'd like to note is the other people have a tube attached to the mask resembling an umbilical cord (if you don't know what that is it's something all fetuses have to get food from the mother) it seems like the other people have become so engulfed in their delusions that they've started feeding off of it. ALSO another thing the character shown in the first chorus walking might not be the main character as they arent missing a hand, and have no horns.
my theory for if it isnt the main character in the chorus is that it's a "newcomer (they don't have the tube yet but are in a delusion)" and perhaps this is some sort of secret society/cult, but that's probably very farfetched one.
now continuing the main character sings "you idiots are caught up in a fantasy" resembles their hatred towards delusions, but then sings "but just a minute isn't it all too easy?" meaning they've started realizing that being delusional makes life "easier." next lyric resembles the main character questioning why they didn't fall into delusions sooner, pretty much asking "oh why did i suffer through all this agony when it could've been avoided?"
the next part of the song is such a plot twist to me cause it could mean this whole "cult/secret society thing" is just a delusion, and the main character is actually some sort of human lab rat seen by the next scene where they cut open their stomach and all that. also the main character seems to be a lab rat to those who they are seen ruling over in the delusions, and perhaps has some sort of delusion that they actually rule over them kind of similar to don quixote. (the reason why i think this is some secret society/cult because there is a weird cult symbol looking thing at 1:52 if you use , or . to move through frames.)
the next part to me just sounds like nonsense perhaps digging into that delusional part of the main character, and in the last scene before the end they're seen taking their mask off meaning they've beat the delusion.
towards the end the main character is seen witnessing some fetus resembling those with masks cause of the umbilical cord in the mouth. it could mean that the main character has found new life and doesn't want the fetus (which presumably would turn into a human) to end up delusional like the others, which is backed by this lyric "and everything we know to be true never fills me right." meaning the main charscter realized how stupid those delusions were. i also think the fetus could be what the masked people look like before theyre born, and they get their masks when they get into their delusions.
to be fair this song is really confusing, especially 1:45 which has some sort of html code with a link encoded with hexadecimal, if anyone could get the html page to work it'd be very appreciated.

I really love this stuff- you made me realise that I missed the imagery of the gas masks looking like umbilical cords, furthermore, how the cord of the fetus and the masked characters are connected to themselves, representing how they are feeding themselves the delusion!
I actually translated the hexadecimal code a while ago! Unfortunately... it's nothing really important. It reads: "ビデオ吉く颫の耒涼としたカーテンが古い建物のマテルジュラシックワールドメガアタックレックスラシックワール". First part meaning I think "Video / The cool curtains of the old building" which I believe is referring to the shot after. But uh after that it basically just says "Mattel - Jurassic World Mega Attack T-Rex" which just makes me think I've been at the receiving end of an inside joke,,,

Another interesting thing, which I don't know if it matters or not, is that by the time the main character takes off the mask they now have both hands.
Also the character takes off the mask after the lyric "The fruits of my labor offer nothing in my favor" and literally exploding, so it does make sense that the entire video up into that point is a delusion. Meaning that within the delusion, playing that ruler character, missing a hand is part of it. Or another meaning could be that being in the delusion causes the character to be incomplete and only after breaking out of it are they truly whole.
And honestly the delusion could be that they think everybody else is delusional, like they've convinced themselves that everybody else is just living their own life unlived, and so being the only one who's actually living a life they'd be the rightful "ruler".

another thing i've noticed is that theres some sort of suspiciously shaped bag at 2:25 (theres def a human inside perhaps the girl getting the weird surgery done) it also has a halo behind the head implying the person in the bag was some sort of saint/holy being. not sure what it means tho.

Hi! The song seems to be about putting on a persona / believing one's own lies. If you look into the story of Don Quixote, it clears some things up!
The song is filled to the brim with oxymorons and contradictions (2x3=7, a dream being masochistic, obeying quixote being ridiculous but also being quixote, cast of 6 for a 1-man show), and the video itself seems to show a person who died on an operating table and came back as a demon, before obliterating themself and nurturing something that was born from it. I'd read that as someone who replaced themself with an alter ego, or someone they'd rather be, continually suppressing who they used to be until the image supercedes the original personality and the person they were before ceases to be.
