Stop hesitating! Stan and dive in with us to the diamond life. I assure you, you won't regret doing so. Seventeen's discography is amazing. They do not stick to one genre and yet it all sounds so good. You still have an exciting journey ahead of you as you get more into them.
Seventeen is my Ult group for a reason --- their entire discography is a no-skip for me and they have a song for everything, whether I need comfort after a hard day or need to get hyped during a workout.
The grand scale of Super (Sonogong) still takes me by surprise every time I watch (as do Mingyu's arms 😂).
If you look into it, from my understanding of it, the song is actually based around Sonogong who is the Monkey King in Journey to the West, but also pays tribute to Dragon Ball Z as Goku is based off of Sonogong as well. The anime references!

SEVENTEEN have my heart now along with BTS and SKZ and gradually TXT. Honestly, I was ARMY only for a long time, then, like you, got obsessed with SKZ. Once I started opening up to other groups, it is SUCH a slope. Pagan, SEVENTEEN are great. They have a very different dynamic from SKZ in their relationships with each other, but it's such a fun ball of chaos when they're all together. Groups that are permitted to have so much input over their own content really shine in a different way. I've really enjoyed their comeback this time around. The number of comeback in the next few months are going to wreck me, tho. SO much amazing talent. I am excited to see where they go next, altho, SEVENTEEN will face military service coming up (4 of the members are 27) in the next 2 years; I am really excited to how far they'll go before then. They are on such a rise right now.

Someone said they thought that some of the dancers in the background towards the end of this video were just CG'd in. Turns out, Pledis really did higher 200+ dancers for this video.

I was sure Mingyu was my bias too ... and i saw Woozi ... and The8 ... tbh i dont Know WHERE to look with Seventeen ! They're all insanely good !!!
Honestly I just recommend going through all their mv's you haven't seen yet, seventeen has no skips
And the dance practice is even more incredible.
손오공 is pronounced Sonogong, which means Son Goku, or as I've seen other reactions title it just "SUPER".
But definitely sonogong (son goku) especially with the references to DragonBall Z in the lyrics and dance.. the mention Flying Cloud, the nimbus cloud that goku travels on. The 2 fingers on the forehead is what Goku does when he does Instant Transmission (how he teleports). They're saying they feel like Goku, powerful and unbeatable!
It’s actually a reference to Son Wukong from Journey to the West. The character ended up inspiring Goku. The8 and Jun even say “Son Wukong”. They do reference Goku and Dragon Ball as well tho which is fun
손오공 means Son Ogong, the korean name for Son Wukong. Son Wukong is the Monkey King from Journey to the West, like Box Story said.

Hey Pagan! Yep I had them in the list to check out after Stray Kids and then Hoshe was on Suchwita & I had to check out more. Had the same angel but fierce on the dancefloor as Jimin and yep loving Seventeen. This song's transitions in rhythms. New workout & keyboarding song. AND it's Dragon Ball!!!!!! So great almost wipes the memory of the movie which shall not be named

Honestly i was very imitated by the number of members but as some members caught my attention ( s.coups , the8,dino) i started watching them more and trust me they are amazing

I laughed so hard when you reacted to Mingyu because I just knew it was coming! 😂 He’s my ult bias in Seventeen, though to be fair they are all incredibly stunning! Oh and Sonogong is also the name of The Monkey King, who travelled on a cloud & could make clones of himself. I took it as the dancers in black were clones of Seventeen & in the end of the MV all that’s left is the real Seventeen!
