I was so afraid of being hit by him, I cleared the level then took him to a barred wall where I just fireballed him until death. Seeing that unique drop was sooo exciting for my little eyes.
The atmosphere of the original game, in the moment of hearing this for the first time, on a dark night in high school, is unmatched by any other game in history.
I played this song when going into a dungeon with my friends in D&D. And we had little equipment. Just some people with pitchforks, sickles, wood axes, barrel lids as shields, the poor mans tools of war against an entire dungeon/crypt filled with Skeletons, Zombies, Giant Spiders, etc. The feeling of we're no longer safe was strong.
The intro to this song perfectly captures the feeling of what I imagine it would feel like to take the first steps onto a path that leads to Hell, sword and shield in hand.
That scream that sounds like a woman at 2:15 gave me the chills the first time I heard it. The music in this first Diablo game really immersed you, and made you feel like you were always in danger of something jumping out of the shadows to kill you.
You'll find i dont want any of them coming to see my pink daughter there way of life and child maintenance is to different and zero abuse is disrespected - willy 0
Whatever you want to visit me and actually even know me evwr for the first time without script see us in our controlled spaces in Ontario near the reservation of the Huron you'll find when you finally stopped at my place youd figure out which child maintenance workers work in the area know us not them ahead of time meet there- willy 0
Graphics were "meh" but the arts, story (and dark ending) atmosphere and imagination went way beyond the roof. I just can't get the same feeling with today's modern games, not even diablo III.
Then there were quake 1, when you play with keyboard only (freelook mouse not yet widespread) and being chased by fiend will felt like being chased by rabid dogs.
I remember going to catacombs level as a kid and shooting back to the surface because the music was THAT scary. What an atmospheric game it was.
Hahaha, I can relate. The Butcher scared the shit out of me.
@@ArtificialLifef0rm same. Me AND my brother were screaming while I ran back to the first floor 😂 I was like 11
Sameee 😂😂😂😂 but until today it’s really scary. I miss this atmosphere on diablo

Ye guys played basicly Lazarus treachery while leading the mob of villagers into the depths of the first layers of the labyrinth, then?
Awesome!
I'm playing this right now cause my D&D party is showing up soon
I can hear the warrior's "AAH" sound effects in my mind.
megaman161 items and potions dropping....
Chasing down hordes of Succubi one by one and hearing that sound 3x a second....ahhh, good times.

My go-to ambiance music for dark dungeons in my D&D campaigns.
This brings back memories.
This is the damn jam.....Good memories............

I use this music when playing Dungeons & Dragons really sets the mood when dungeon exploring.
One of the best Dungeon music
Matt Uelmen was the artist in case anyone was wondering.
FRESH MEAT
I love CZcams recommended. This game was, and is still, so good

"AHH! FRESH MEAT!"
OH gosh, I haven't played Diablo 1 much (mostly Diablo 2) and I didn't realize this had been ingrained in my head so well.
Arkaine's Valor... Protect me.
"Lazarus. He led us down here."
That grimdark feeling when I didn't know what was behind the Butcher door.
Currently playing "It lurks below" v0.10.04a, this music is a good alternative from the same developer :D
I feel like there's something watching me every time I listen to this music
Back when AAA titles had balls. :(
PoE has it still
Heh, and so did Diablo.... Before the whole Leah debacle
This plays in the Flayer Dungeon of Diablo II
you know I just realized this... Good ear man
The memories...Playing with my friend on a ps1 as kids shitting ourselves at 3am in the morning as soon as we find the butcher.
Ambience is incredible
This song goes great with Dark Souls
kinda have a point, dark souls imoh captures the creepy feeling of the older diablo.
Great game
Fond memories of Diablo 2!!
This music its terrificant!!
I don't have a spell ready.
I want a metal remaster of this theme. When those drums hit its just so heavy.
This is so long I almost defeated the Butcher before it ended.
You must have chosen a sorcerer, had him use a bow while shooting the Butcher through a "cage" wall. Took FOREVER but it got the job done...
@@Hmongboi228 good guess but nope, Warrior and found a short sword that somehow got the job done hours later haha
“YOTETH!”
