- Deltarune chapter 3 is on it's way. So what could we expect from one of the most lore heavy games out there, that cleverly hides it's own story around the game?

A surprisingly thorough summary of chapter 3 predictions. This is a really well done video.
My only nitpick: the secret bosses don’t know they are in a video game. That’s a misconception that comes from Jevils cryptic talking. Jevil understands that the world is a numbers game, that is a key part of his message (and it is breaking the 4th wall). But he’s not referring to the literal video game, he’s talking about the events of the story being predetermined, a game that’s implied to be between higher powers (a continuation of your choices don’t matter).

I think the victims of the weird route will be the 6 non main character classmates, so berdly in the computer lab, monster kid in kris's house (they are obsessed with undyne in undertale), catti in the church (with her occult themes), temmie in sans's shop (egg), jockington in flower king (dont have a connection for this one other than he's the last one left), and snowy in the bunker (related to secret underground labs with his connection to an amalgam in undertale)

I don't think Mike will be the secret boss *because* he was foreshadowed. Before you enter the Card Castle, Jevil's existence is foreshadowed exactly once, by Seam, and isn't even mentioned by name. Same thing with Spamton: outside of the Sweet Cap'n' Cakes mentioning a "little weird guy", you'll have no way of knowing he exists. Even outside of the Sweepstakes, Mike was mentioned *by name* twice. If this is supposed to be purposeful and not a coincidence, Mike is out of the question as the secret boss.
I think Mike will be the Lancer/Berdly of Chapter 3. A recurring secondary threat who's fought twice while the true villain (King, Queen and Tenna) is saved for the final battle. He'll redeem himself at the end to help us defeat Tenna.
I actually think it will be vice versa. Tenna's the Lancer/Berdly, Mike's the King/Queen.
@@racoonwhocannotbekilled9999 The problem is, Spamton heavily implies Tenna is hunting for Mike and send out his crew to find info about him, and that Tenna is slandering Mike. Both wouldn't make sense if Mike is the the guy in charge.
@@rafkenjakistam3082 That does make sense, and to be completely honest, the man reason I thought that Mike was the big bad guy and Tenna was the lesser bad guy was because of the fact that Jevil foreshadowed Queen when defeated violently, and the one person Spamton mentions when he's defeated violently is Mike. But this kind of foreshadowing might extend to minor antagonists and not just the big bad ones.

I posted this in the comment section of another video, but I doubt the thrown-away flowers would be the ch.3 Secret Boss, considering that the Secret Boss Light World items have so far directly correlated with their respective DW’s theme. Jevil is a joker card in a board/card game-based DW, Spamton is comprised of spam emails in an Internet-based DW. By that logic, ch.3’s SB item should be one that’s not only commonly thrown away/discarded, but also relates to the theme of Television. Something like some form of lost media (an episode of a show that was never aired, perhaps) or a radio or video cassette (forms of entertainment that have since been deemed obsolete due to the rapid progression of technology) would make more sense than the flowers, which are only consistently thrown away in the specific circumstances of Asgore’s and Toriel’s relationship.
While ch.3 will definitely introduce the basics of their divorce, i think we’ll mainly get an exploration of their failed relationship in the hypothetical Flower King dark world, considering *its flowers* have been around since they first got married. Asgore even vents to them about his issues all the time, so their behaviors as Darkners would probably reflect that.
And I doubt that Mike would be the SB considering that he was directly mentioned multiple times by Spamton, taking away the “secret” aspect of these bosses
That presupposes that the world is TV-themed, though. The living room doesn’t have a door between it and the kitchen, so Chapter 3’s dark world could be anything.
@@areallycoolhat5427 Judging by the fact that Kris and Asriel’s bed room literally turned into a green room, the bathroom appears to have been turned into a changing room, *and* the fact that the TV was prominently shown at the end of ch.2, it’s likely that the entire house is being reflected through a TV aesthetic

But, we've already seen a flower-based boss that also has a TV motif in a certain previous game... 😏
Though honestly a Photoshop Flowey analogue WOULD be better to have at the end, rather than so early.
...BUT ALSO, Seam told us that this next secret boss will be too powerful without the Shadow Mantle, which could indeed make it powerful enough to be a pseudo-Photoshop Flowey. Which might be a way for Toby to ensure that we don't get the All Secret Bosses ending until we've beaten the regular game once?
(OR, it could be why he's releasing chapters 3-5 together. Maybe we'll be able to get the Shadow Mantle in Ch 4 or 5, then go back to Ch 3 to defeat the boss there (Seam already showed this capability to sense beyond time & space, & their dialogue changes if we go back & defeat Jevil after having already beaten Ch 1 & 2 normally beforehand).)
As for the secret status of the secret bosses, well, Spamton already broke that pattern before it could even become one; his initial encounter is impossible to skip. Only his actual boss fight is skippable. So, Mike being another new precedent of being revealed beforehand wouldn't be out of the question. Especially with the implication that we still might not be able to beat him right away regardless.
@@ZaCloud-Animations___she-her With Spamton we still only even learned about his existence within his own chapter. I doubt we’ll learn who the SB is in the DW until we actually get ch.3. Jevil revealed to us Queen’s existence, but she wasn’t the SB.
And further on the flowers, we literally just had a SB who was [living in a goddamn garbage can], so having the next SB *also* be that would be a bit on the nose.
@@mrperson4542 Well yeah, but two chapters isn't enough time to know what the pattern is gonna be in terms of secret boss reveals if Spamton already might have changed the formula. (If anything, going from no mention, to some mention, might be a progression taking off.) And Tenna/someone involving the TV WAS mentioned like the main boss which HAS been consistent so far ("Don't believe anything you see in TV! That man's a criminal!") though not named. Mike seems to be another victim of Tenna/the Cathode Crew. But of course, we'll see. Toby probably really wants to balance subverting our expectations, & keeping the narrative coherent. So it's really hard to say yet.
if Chapter 3 was _entirely_ TV-based, maybe Toriel would be in some cooking show segment or something.
About the Napstablook theory. It'd be perfect if THEY were the one to come, not UNDYNE, since Mettaton is the loner in this universe. They'd be the Berdly to Toriel's Noelle (y'know, since both in Chapters 1 and 2 the two new people we see in the dark world were "one good one evil" (Good: Ralsei and Noelle, Bad: Berdly and Susie) Now I know Susie isn't bad but she was bad for most of the first chapter)), wishing for MTT to be a star and Mike/Tenna promising to make their cousin FAMOUS.
I feel like: “Tenna”, a boss foreshadowed by spamton in the spamton sweepstakes, I think she (or he or them ☺️) will be the main villain, while mike, might be the secret boss, or even come back later but that’s just my thoughts
U know about Berdly. It says our chocies don't matter. No matter which route we do. So I think whether we choose Weird Roue or not. I don't think Berdly is goin to matter at all in Chapter 3. Because he either stays alive or freezes so I think since our choices don't matter, Berdly's fate won't matter either. Although it is possible there will be small changes such as if we did Pipis Route the only thing involving Berdly will be if he shows up at school or not. If they DO go to school first thing in the chapter. Other than that I don't really think Berdly's fate will matter in the next chapter. But hey! It's just a theory! A TOBY THEORY!

Wait... What if Berdley didn't die and he pops up at the end changed where he is afraid of everything. This would probably get a reaction out of Kris but I think it'd cause Berdley and Noel to never speak to each other again. That'd be interesting.

I also think the bonus boss may be the flower. Possibly similar to how Spamton Neo resembles Mettaton Neo, the bonus boss in the third chapter may have many things resemble our best friend in Undertale

a few months back I saw a comment about how an edgy version of the god of hyperdeath will be chapter 3's secret boss, because of what was on Asriel's computer. it's stated that the game it's from "never saw the light of day" which could play into the theme of wanting to be free (he wants the game he's from to come out so that people know about him), and the fact that he is Asriel's old OC could play into the whole "things that are commonly abandoned" thing as well. since a lot of us make these OP, "perfect" original characters when we are kids (or even in our early to mid teens) but we forget about them, "abandoning" them once we get older and become better at creating/writing characters. maybe this could be why we need the shadow mantle in order to beat him, because if we didn't have it, he would simply be too OP.

Do a video on skies forever blue, a song written by tobby fox with animation made by omocat, the video even on its own has interesting lore, but you could draw multiple conections to deltarune as it was posted on undertale's aniversary(Plus the whole theme of the video that easily fits with deltarune)

I do believe a Dark Fountain may be in Alphys classroom, and Alphys get sucked in. (In the Future)
Imagine chapter 3s secret boss is the chair that you cant interact with in the living room since the fact you cant interact with it shows the "unwanted" motif for secret bosses.

I feel like Mike will be either the secret boss or a mini boss but unlike Spamton you won't see him unless you do what must be done to unlock the fight, more like Jevil.
Considering Tenna is out for his ass it'd make sense that he'd probably be hiding unless you give him to chance to strike. I believe he's gonna be real mad at Tenna, understandable so, to the point of like wanting to kill him and he fights you because he thinks you're getting in his way or smt

There are 4 candidates for secret boss.
Mike could be it if he's related to radio in some way (but we're not aware of any microphones in the house, and the only microphone we know of is buried 6 feet deep in the cemetery).
The flowers (but they are alive, not objects, and so far we don't have any Darkners based on living entities, and the cacti of the house will be present as normal plants in the Green Room).
Asgore's chair (Asgore being gone, that chair will remind Toriel of him, so she might want to get rid of it at some point).
Toriel's old chair, who was the initial Chairiel before Toriel locked the bedroom up and named an armchair Chairiel instead. (There is a chair in the Sweepstakes, presumed to be a Dark-type because of the "What if it could get darker than dark?" It looks like Undertale's Chairiel which could be in the parents' bedroom. Might be why the Shadow Mantle could be useful.) Though this one's kind of not-so-secret if it's being teased already, so I have my doubts that it is.

@@idioticlight They're not objects/concepts though, and so far we've only seen objects and concepts, while the plants we've seen have stayed plants. So it might be unlikely though not impossible for the flowers to turn into Darkners. Though they could get incorporated into the trash can's Darkner form.

No, he asked for Kris's repentence, he was afraid Kris had sined after throwing him in the pit on purpose. And the lizard was Azriel's favorite character it would be odd for Azriel to sacrifice him.
Yeah but Yoshi isn’t a commonly understood item/concept to be discarded and wouldn’t correlate to ch.3’s theme of television.

In most card games, the Joker card isn’t typically used and back then was essentially just a spare card to replace any missing card.

it's possible that one or more beings like flowey will be present because of the discarded flowers, and the different color traits thing as described in the snowdin minigame being their personalities. Flowey in undertale is associated with the souls, by taking them twice in the pacifist run, and in deltarune the flowers in asgore's shop being colored and stored like the souls in UT, there seems to be a connection or a hint somehow there, we could see these flowers that were just tossed away joining togheter and forming omega flowey, although it doesn't fit in with the TV theme at all in any way i can imagine, but since the chapters 3, 4 and 5 will be released togheter, we could see more than one theme in the same dark fountain.
Probably the case, but still, remember what Photoshop Flowey's head was made out of... 😉
And since there's discarded flowers spread all over town, I can't help but wonder if they're all, like, networked together. Through, oh... Digital Roots? (The name of the basement music in Chapter 2 that sounds like the intro music to the Photoshop Flowey fight, when we were on our way to a boss designed in a painting program... 🤔)

Great observations & ideas. I myself wonder if there's credence to the theory that Deltarune might sort of be a reverse Undertale. And the secret bosses reflect the bosses that are only encountered in the G-Route. The King/The King (same in title at least), secret boss the tubby little joker (Sans/Jevil). Then Mettaton/Queen (both spoke like machines, had an upgraded form for their actual final battles, & followed us around for several encounters), secret boss connection very obvious (Mettaton NEO/Spamton NEO).
So that might make the next bosses Undyne & Undyne the Undying equivalents (Ironic, with the real Undyne possibly there). Tracking with how the next secret boss is, according to Seam, too OP to defeat without a special item. So we'll see if they're extremely... determined?
Or alternatively, could be something connecting with Alphys & the Amalgamates (though they're not bosses in UT, & the latter are only confronted via the True Pacifist Route... maybe it's just plain whatever alternative route was available for each "biome"?) Unless THAT will be reserved for the graveyard, concerning the objects that the Amalgamate monster equivalent were buried with, imbued with their essence... Hoooo boy! (Since those are late-game True Pacifist, maybe that only opens up if we've completed the Weird Route's requirements eventually?)
Then eventually, perhaps someone like Papyrus who's all into puzzles (Roulxs revealing his True Powereth after all?!) & a secret boss who's nice or gives up right away? Maybe their patented Secret Boss Mental Damage is depression or apathy so they don't even put up a fight?
Toriel's analogue would be harder to predict due to simplicity, but who knows. Then maybe Flowey, the first enemy we encounter, will be reflected by Asriel, Ralsei, or Asgore's wedding flowers.
...I dunno, it's not too likely, but at least the start has some interesting parallels. 😅
(Then there was the crack theory about Toriel's kitchen being basically Undertale in miniature... Fridge is Snowdin, Waterfall is the sink, etc, all the way to Photoshop Flowey in the trashcan on the far right... 😶 Like, even though OP was joking around, it's a neat little coincidence at least!)

I think Flowey will be the secret boss in chapter 3
I think that Mike will be the final boss of chapter 3 and Tenna the secret one because Spamton hates Tenna, but he also hates Jevil(as hinted by the clown around town line), so the secret bosses likely have a bad relationship, as well as following the secret boss of a chapter will hint towards the final boss of the next order that could easily be set up.
Except Spamton heavily implies Mike is on the run from Tenna and his crew. Wouldn't make sense if Mike was the ruler of the TV World like King and Queen.
I'll predict Mike would become a secret boos 100%

I personally believe that the secret boss will be a n64 I would say it fits the abandonment theme due to newer consoles replace older consoles but with this I'm thinking the boss fight with have the purple soul mechanics along with maybe minions that look like n64 cartridges

Theory: Mike is just a red herring. He is not going to be a boss in chapter 3, but possibly in chapter 4 or later chapters.
Considering the Spamton Sweepstakes, it’s very much implied Mike will be a prominent character in ch.3. Especially considering his potential relationship with “Tenna”

I just… really don’t buy it *all* being TV themed. What about the couch? Or the book of hymns? Or the action figures on the window? The TV is only one part of the room.
All of those parts, as well as the rest of the house, will be reflected through the theme of television. Think about the ferris wheel poster in the computer lab. It didn’t really match the overall Internet theme of the Dark World, but was still integrated in a way that didn’t clash with the *overall* main theme (by becoming a fair within Cyber City).
