I just bought my 2nd one. We needed this in 2020 more than ever. Edit: This is a company I’m glad I convince people in my life to support. Great All American Company.
I live in Taiwan and I found one in my local retail shop, what a great find and a great keeper!!!
I bought one yesterday ❤️🔝.
I really love this raw look 1941 replica lighter with hand finished edges!
If you are a collector or a Zippo lover you must have one!
A USMC vietnam vet who comes in a lot to the ice cream shop I work at gave me a zippo the other day. Everytime he comes in we talk about the militaty since I'll be going the the USMC. Its chrome and the the gold EGA on it. He told me that he carried with him for good luck and had no children in the service to pass it down to. I definitely plan on buying his next meal. I've used zippo before but this is the first one ove owned. I definitely want to get more in the future, but this is my favorite.
My great grandfather on my fathers side was a marine. He fought the Japanese in WW2. He had a Zippo lighter, but strangely enough he never smoked which most did at the time. He always used his for camping.
👌👌👌
I hope zippo made solid copper again.
@@cosmeticplague475 Ordered one within 10 minutes they went live on the website lol. Got it already, lovin it so far.
hello zippo! I have a question of you could answer it?I see that you have changed your logo,to resemble a mix between the old 30-late 40s one and modern but what about the stamp?are there any plans to change the current one used since the 1980s along the logo,or are you just changing the logo and keeping the lighter stamps as they used to be?
PS:
i own one of these and can say they are gorgeous.the only thing is that they develop rust on the hand worn edges in humid places, but they still look great(kept it at home, but the summer humidity still got to it,even if i sealed it off)
Hi, there. Excellent question. Our team is not aware of any plans at this time.
@@zippo I understand.Thank you for letting me know!
Also, are there any plans to bring back solid titanium zippo cases?i know they were discountinued in 03 because they were harder to make, but i think there has been a lot of progress in that aspect since we can find nowadays chinese market cases made from solid titanium for 70$.From the point of view of a collector and also zippo users/people that go camping it would be a good idea and well sought after nowadays.
are there no glass zippo? maybe a reason
I don't know much about zippo lighters, However I have one from my family that looks rare. The lighter is a gold plated barcroft with a navy intelligence logo on it , do you know anything about it??
Hey, Roger. Our Consumer Relations team should be able to help. Here is how to get in touch: cr@zippo.com or call 1-888-442-1932.
Why do the new zippos not seem as quality as older ones? Thinner metal or something? Clanky and light feeling
I cant find this one in Romania 😥
Is this still available in zippo turkey?
Hi, Tholfikar. Thank you for your interest in our VE/VJ Day 75th Anniversary Collectible. We recommend contacting your local distributor in Turkey to see if/when this model will be available in your country. Here is how to contact them: zippo.com.tr/sayfalar/iletisim-bilgileri
I live in Canada can I send in my zippo for repair or should I wait
Of course! Please reach out to your local distributor in Canada. They should be able to help get you started on a free repair. Here is how: zippo.ca/pages/contact
I wish I had the money for this one
I want a zippo so bad but nobody in my town has them in stock and I don't have a card so I can't order one :(
Best zippo logo is 50s-70s.
Just ordered one. What is the significance of only 40,000 being made?
Hi, Theodore. So glad to hear you ordered one! Let us know how you like it in person once it arrives. The 40,000 number doesn't necessarily have historical significance, but rather it is based on several internal factors.
Hi zippo team (: Why is rust on a new lighter normal?
Hi, there! We recommend reaching out to our Consumer Relations Team, as they are the experts on our product offerings. Here's how to get in touch: fal.cn/38FgF
You guys should do a December 7th memorial one
Hi, Jonathan. Thanks for your feedback! Unfortunately, we aren't able to accept product or design ideas at this time.
Hey guys. Answer me please, why people choose zippo lighters ????
Hello, a Zippo is like a classic razor, the kind of blade: you have to maintain them, clean them, change their removable parts when they wear out, etc. It is an old and reliable gadget, it is less polluting and gives you your own style, if you do not like to take care of things, if yours is "use, waste and discard" and be just as bland as the pile, then go back to a normal lighter
Strong American history, strong quality, incredible customer service, and one amazing lighter.
sadly I can’t buy it on amazon because they don’t ship it to philippines😢 my forefathers fought in the war too along with the americans against the japanese😭😭
Hey, Dazai. If you reach out to your local distributor in the Philippines, they might be able to help. Here is how to contact them: +63 2 846 9785
Americans: world war 2 time champion
Hi blaisdell
Where can I get one
Hey, Edward. Price and availability can vary from country to country. Where are you located?
Edward Tagg, Amazon. Personally I prefer zippo. I’m from the States and rather support them directly.
I just bought one. Steel case has not been done since Korean conflict. I have an original WWII black crackle '43, all original parts, in excellent shape, that some fool tossed out at the dump inside a coffee can full of old screws and such. I am a serious collector for 26 years, and for me to find that at my feet at the local transfer station is utterly incredible, lol. The new 75th Anniversary piece will be a keeper too!
NOW ZIPPO NEEDS TO DO A '41 REPLICA IN RED CRACKLE, like the ones done for the tank crews. So, so simple for Zippo to do it!!!
wow you are one lucky guy, great find!
@@andrewallen6747 Everybody at Transfer heard me yell YESSSS!
Gotta have a lucky day once in awhile and that was one of my best.
Excellent find, Anthony! It sounds like it was meant to be.
