    So so beautiful... I will try to recreate this, knowing very well that it won't turn out anything close to yours 😂

      It's all practice! We all start somewhere. And, even after years of practice with watercolor, sometimes I still have to work on the painting 2-3 times before filming the video tutorial. Enjoy your art-making and thanks so much for watching! 🙌😊

    I'm a big fan of using sepia and indigo to create darks greys and blacks because you can control how warm or cool it is. Love how your croissant turned out :)

      Yaaasss!! I've used that combo in my own work for those deep, rich darks, too. It's a great one! Glad you liked it, Naomi. Wish you a great week ahead. 💚

    I just realize my burnt sienna is just brown 😭 it looks nothing like yours

    • @ErikaLancasterArt
      @ErikaLancasterArt Před 2 lety +2

      Hey, Monica! Burnt Sienna is usually a reddish brown. What brand of watercolors are you using?

    • @monicaant.1422
      @monicaant.1422 Před 2 lety +1

      @@ErikaLancasterArt the brand is called MeiLiang I bought it off of Amazon since it was cheap with a lot of colors and it's just brown😭

    • @monicaant.1422
      @monicaant.1422 Před 2 lety +1

      I'm a beginner and didn't think nothing of it and I want to paint pastry more and I really want to use burnt sienna to make the bread more golden crisp on top😭 I might as well buy a separate color

    • @ErikaLancasterArt
      @ErikaLancasterArt Před 2 lety +2

      It's definitely one of those colors I always bring in when painting pastries, so if you're into food illustration as much as I am, perhaps do buy one separately? Winsor and Newton has a Cotman line for both tubes and pans that's accessibly priced that you can find on Amazon. I started out with those and was able to start building my skills with those accessibly priced paints. :)
