Christo Tomy is a SRFTI alumni. Before the making of this film, Christo used to get national award every year for the best short film. This script won the filmistaan competition for best script surpassing Lapata Ladies. Christo used to be my junior in college. His wife used to be my student. So happy for him!!

The pronunciation of 'zh' in malayalam is like pronouncing the first letter of word "Genre" (slighy softer than that, though)..
The same letter is there in Tamil too. In fact very few tamilians pronounce it properly. But Almost all the Tamil singers and mainstream News readers pronounce it properly. Singer Shreya ghoshal pronounces it perfectly in her songs in Tamil & Malayalam.
The word TAMIL itself is written as "Thamizh" in tamil texts.. (is written as "தமிழ்" not "தமிள்")👍🏻

Cinestaan's hunt for the best script culminated in this 'Ullozhukku' script, which won the first prize for best script. The script that won the second prize was later made into the movie 'Laapata Ladies' by Aamir Khan, who was part of the selection jury himself.
