well if you noticed at the beginning of the fight Darkseid was sitting on Thanos throne and thanos said "get off my thrones" and during the analysis one of the side panels for Darkseid said "- enjoys sitting on other people's chairs" and at the end of the battle Darkseid was sitting on Thanos' throne again.
Darkseid always makes me laugh with the disrespect he shows for others and this fight capitalizes it lol

I have to admit darkseid looks better in the throne then thanos defiantly made him more intimidating if that's even possible
I mean, Dark side is pretty much a God, He defeated SuperMan and many other super hero multiple times, Defined All Logic of Science and can make his reality by the palm of his hand, Thanos is a mad Titan, don't get me wrong, He has super strength, an unbreakable head, and bearly ever bleeds, But when you think about it, The gauntlet is what made him even powerful. While Thanos uses a glove to make him a good, Dark side can make all of that without any enchanted.

Not exactly. During the Final Crisis event, a future Brainiac gave Superman the Miracle Machine (the most absurdly powerful device ever created in the DCU) to put the multiverse back together again by solidifying "true" Darkseid's essence on Earth. With "true" Darkseid now solidified & stuck in place by the Miracle Machine, Superman hit him with a precise sonic frequency to shatter him, which sent him retreating back to the Fourth World.
It's like needing to do something as impossible as 'smash' water. The only way to do that would be to freeze it first, then break the solid ice. Only, Superman had to use sound waves instead of a hammer because true Darkseid is made of energy, not mass.

Think of the Miracle Machine more like the dragon balls, it grants any wish like restoring all realities for example, the problem is that it reads your thoughts so if for even a second you think of any other thing you would like, the machine will made it real. The singing was what destroyed Darkside, but it had to be in a precise frequency that of the multiverse, Superman had to destroy all his vocal cords to reach the frequency of Darkside and shatter his existency, the song is symbolic of harmony and melody trumping evil and tiranny itself

But Grant Morrisson is also a writer who's into meta-physics & quantum mechanics, and all of the latest advances into those fields have shown that each universe vibrates at it's own unique frequency. Therefore, the only way to interact with something vibrating at a different frequency is by matching the frequency it exists along.
So, yeah, while it's likely a symbolic gesture for story purposes, there's actually real world, practical application purposes involved too. In other words-- as crazy as this sounds --it actually checks out scientifically. It's some great writing; believe it or not.
The moment Deadpool appeared Thanos was destined to be humiliated.
I love the fact that technically the reason for this fight was that Darkseid was seating on Thanos's couch! XD

Nice reaction Ris! This was definitely an awesome fight. In terms of story, I think Deadpool was try to "sell" Thanos's chair to Darkseid which explains why they were in a bank vault on Earth and that Thanos was trying to look for it. Just a theory though.
That's what I go too. I enjoyed Darkseid's little smile when Thanos killed Deadpool, like "So, easy to piss off? Noted..."
Or get him to just take the throne. Either way, the fight was over the chair.

Just saying that Darkseid has this habit of sitting on other people chair/throne to show his dominance and how he is more superior. So yeah Darkseid just sat on Thanos throne and Thanos wasn’t really happy about it.

@@wessltov while I would love to see De blob vs the inkling, it would be a really odd way to start the season. You need to start the season with a bang, or a splash, and inkling vs de blob really wouldn't do that

Death Battle tends to pit similar characters against one another, and most squid-like characters are water-based. That would put inkling at an unfair disadvantage
No one notice the subtle thanos copter? It was the way thanos made his first entrance into comics. I think that was literally the whole reason they even did the cars thing

Something I was unaware of before coming into this Deathbattle; Darkseid is Thanos. When Thanos was made, it was to copy his DC counterpart. However, I didn't realise that meant that Darkseid can do ANYTHING Thanos can do not only better, but _naturally._ And to top it all off, he's essentially immortal unless you can jump realities; and of course, that's assuming you know which to go to.
I didn't know how powerful Thanos was. But I know how powerful Darkseid is and that he survived Crisis. Making him one of the most OP DC villains

Save for his real, solid defeat in Final Crisis, Darkseid 'loses' because putting in effort to defeat the inconveniences that oppose him is just BENEATH who he is. He'll outlive every single member of the Justice League and if his underlings can't stand against them and be victorious, that's his underlings failing him. He's in no rush.
... But that doesn't mean he won't make every single person who has gotten in his way suffer for doing so.

Just on a side note that short of the Council of Reeds was from Jonathan Hickman's run on Fantastic Four which was an amazing story about family. Great writing. Also Deadpool did beat Thanos before (with the uni power).

Oof, True Form Darkseid slaps no diff. Even King Thanos with Infinity stones would get slapped, and that one slapped all the celestials without the Infinity stones and I think HOTU.
Darkseid is Outerversal in his true form, beyond infinite dimensional and on an equal tier to characters like Oblivion and perhaps TOAA.
I'm pretty sure it's been confirmed Darksied would still lose to the one above all, hell even the arch angels Lucifer and Micheal would still destroy the true form of Darksied.

I personally think that TOAA > TF Darkseid, although he's not omnipotent as contradictions have taken place in ways that suggest that Oblivion is superior to TOAA.
Now Lucifer is powerful, and his brother is relative if only slightly stronger, but wasn't he reset during flashpoint into new 52 by Dr. Manhattan with potential help from the Presence?
No, actually Lucifer was completely unaffected by flash-point, he is immune to universal altering affects , powers, etc.. he simply went off to create his own cosmos

@Internite Land The winner isn't always right. DB sometimes have some seriously dumb results. Like, Bayonetta has a summon that punches in infinitons, which the name alone implies that each unit is equal to an infinite amount of tons, and yet they were like 'well, Dante deflect the big punch before'. And game Sonic can remain Super for a few days, yet '20 second invincibility cancels out somehow'.
And I don't think every Death Battle has a 'the lose could have possibly won in certain circumstances'. Take for example Hulk vs. Doomsday; no matter what happened, Hulk had no way to keep Doomsday dead.
@@epiccarrot88 There is no evidence that super sonic can last for days. We don't know what he was doing during that time. Also, base Sonic and eggman got to the moon in a few hours or probably minutes while it took super sonic days to get to earth. Lol. Also, Mario can just take out another invincible power up like Metal cap, Rainbow Star, Mega Mushroom, etc. And bottomless gloves give him an infinite amount of power ups.
@@Andras19750717 He went up Super. He came down Super. To say he wasn't Super that entire time is speculation, not fact. The implication is he was super that entire time, so that's what should be accepted. And Sonic has Ring Time, which instantly turns enemies into rings. The second an invincibility power runs out, Ring Time. Plus, he can use Chaos Control to freeze time IN SA2 multiplayer, and as such what they said about Sonic not using it was wrong. He uses it, drags Mario to the sun, Mario dies.

This was actually fun to watch with your reaction open in another tab. The fight theme was awesome and was a great season ender! I knew a bit about Darkseid, but Thanos surprisingly I knew lesser about besides his interaction with the infinity gauntlet and the Avengers.
My favorite part of this is no doubt the Thanos ROFLCOPTER. They didn't even have Thanos' car, but that helicopter did nicely.

They don't mention it here but captain America at one point increased the"durability" of the universe to be indestructible to save it from an attack that would've destroyed it, it might have sent back to normal afterwards, but Thanos could do the same thing if he wanted, and have true form darksied enter the universe and see how that goes instead of just making him enter a portal to another universe and dying that way, but I do agree that outside of marvel Universe 616 Darksied wins

They were already on Earth, at the beggining, Deadpool was trying to sell Thanos' throne to Darkseid, Darkseid loves a good throne, apparently they started the fight in Deadpool's vault.

Also fun fact? Thanos almost never existed. When Jack Kirby was working on the old and new gods? He was still working for Marvel. So Darkseid was almost a Marvel villain

They’ve said on their podcast that THERE IS NO FORMULA. They don’t pay attention to anything like that when writing the fight. They just try to make it entertaining.

Have you ever heard of Ori and the Blind Forest, by indie developer Moon Studios? It's incredibly fun, richly detailed, absolutely beautiful, has an amazing soundtrack, and the story will make you cry in the first 10 minutes. It's an insanely polished Metroidvania style 2-D action adventure game, and it'll give you between 6-12 hours of extremely solid gameplay.
You should Let's Play it. I guarantee you'll have lots of fun (and it tends to get a lot of viewers for Let's Plays, all of which is good news for you).
You can download it from Steam. I'd heavily suggest using a controller and NOT a keyboard/mouse combo.

So how exactly has Darkseid lost any fight ever? Why hasn't he already got the universe wrapped around his finger inside five minutes? The way the info puts it, literally nothing ever can stop him, so what's the point of him being a villain for the heroes to fight?
In the video DeadPool talked about about gaming (at the beginning of the battle) and anime (at the end of the battle), and the “with a splash” at eh end of the video makes me think of water. So, I’m thinking that the next Deathbattle will be between a video game character and an anime character that both have some type of connection with water... or it could be Splatoon.
