My heart is being torn apart listening to you. I miss Florida so much, and fishing. I remember coming home from work and I have traffic, stopping at a Canal and catching dinner while the traffic is clearing. I am returning for only for the month of May, after 38 years away. I wish I could move to Florida near all the things that I love.
That second fish was a stumpknocker, great video
US41. Tamiami trail! 90 miles of Everglades and Big Cypress Swamp
I just did a vid like this in Punta Gorda with snook slamming my Mayans. Love this time of year with the fish so condensed.
Great video Brant so fun watching you fish along that Highway there's always so many species to be caught
Tamiami trail - alligator alley - US41, I spent my 1st 20+years of my life hunting and fishing all around the area from east to west. True old Florida, the glades used to be the best, between water mgmt and invasive snakes, fish etc
I spent 30 years out there riding swamp buggys on the side of it until they banned us
Didnt catch a Tilipia down there. but man is the fishing AMAZING donwn there. Fishing Bass on the bed can be finicky. they didnt want nothing to do with food today in the Tar River, NC Love a jumping bass
Man! I enjoy the highway videos, it looked like you were having a lot of fun.
Spot mancing nya kategori bagus ini ... banyak dapat sambaran ikan nya....
Hey hey Brant, Good to see you over this way, Better luck this time, Wow that is dead stopped. Good to see you out enjoying the day. You got that jump dead center in frame, Nice work,
Traffic used to be scarce,i used to ride swamp buggies along that road, until they banned us,try fishing the bridge on birdon road,or the next culvert up,it used to be loaded with giant snook.
Some of my favorite videos that you put our are those from this stretch of highway. It is soooo Cool dude!!
Just a thought, that red shirt might have a bit to do with that bass being skittish. Bright colors like red, he/she saw you coming a mile away. Sitting on the bed their looking around noticing movement. Loved the action! Always fun watching you fish.
always love these Tamiami trail videos. my husband and I try and get down there, from Tallahassee, at least once a year.
Oh Boy! I do love that stretch of highway! Been there and want to go back!
Your crazy fishing there
Love the SW Florida videos.
Hey Brant, maybe think about getting a guide and fishing the Tarpon rodeo this year in Punta Gorda. Dont know if you've done that before. I've done it three times, it's hot as all hell but you're done by noonish when the tarpon head out of the pass to go feed. These arent skinny water tarpon either, they're 60" + and 150lbs and up. The guide we used was a professional redfish fisherman and I can pass his info along, not sure if he still guides but he'll have contacts at the minimum.
Great video. You should do a snook catch and cook
darn good day of fishing, lots of fun an enjoyment.staysafe an watch for snakes..
Brant love your content thanks for sharing. Can I make a suggestion? Move your go pro to your hat. Your hands and arms sometimes get tin the way and we cant see the hit or the jump, etc. Just a suggestion
I love your stuff, W video man
There is no other state that compares with FL for roadside fishing opportunities. As a kid growing up in Southern California, I would catch small rainbow trout out of ditches in the foothills of the San Bernardino mountains, and great little hidden ponds throughout the state. But no state compares to the invasive fish that Florida has! Cool video!
Brant, I am from Milton working down in Boca. I have been fishing a canal for a couple weeks fishing for Peacocks…no luck. Finally put a good ole night crawler wacky rigged. And finally pulled a couple nice ones.
I definitely just need to get myself together once this last (hopefully 🙄🙄) hand surgery is done and heals up!! I've got all my gear in my car, and ready to go, anywhere! That place where you filmed and brought us along on, happens to be something that I really want to do, badly! I just need to get a GoPro one of these days, cuz you know I can talk a lot and long! Lol Anyway Brant, thanks for being a part of my family for the last 4 years! God bless!
peas like fast moving baits, and typically won't hit soft plastics. jerk baits, top waters, etc. they like chasing their food vs a bass ambushing.
Love these Highway stop fishing spots. Be safe! Also, btw, as you’re a stud former athlete can you show us all the freshwater fishing technique of skipping (like w/rocks as kids) to get under brush that’s used by many top notch fishing influencers ?
The best bait for a peacock bass is a piece of peacock bass. They love cut bait
Brant, I think it's grat that you are able to travel from up here in Pensacola to south Florida! If you need a co pilot, let me know and I'll take a couple days off work from NASP!
I’ve been looking for that last spot for two years now.
Use the trout magnet
Hey Brant , I’m in SC and we used to have great farm ponds. Now progress has taken all the ponds away and it sux ! Can you fish the streams where you were in a kayak ? Or is that a bad idea
I Caught a 800 pound bass just yesterday in that same spot ❤love the channel Rick keep going
Peacocks start biting b4 noon bite best when sun is straight above you
So cool I was raised in Davie on a canal had lots of tropical fish in it but nothing like it has today
Canals down Griffin or Orange Dr by chance?
@@RonSlinker-dt7vr 4821 SW 76th AVE was the house we lived in had a canal alongside and across the street
Right on, 76Ave same street Wolf Lake Park is on? Used to take my dogs swimming in that lake in the mid 90’s
Hit the canals off Loop Rd for more action. Not far from where you’re at.
I did. There’s a lot of largemouth there. I filmed there in my next video.
Brant what is your setup for canal snook and tarpon? I've been trying to catch one on vacation but don't know what the best rig is for them
The first sunfish at 3:38 is a Spotted Sunfish.
STUMP KNOCKER
"gators to the left of me, speeders to the right! here i am, stuck in the middle with lures"
That skunk at the beginning always happens when I fish there, any tips?
It would be cool to take a kayak underneath the bridge. Just watch for the gators.
My dad and I used to take alligator Alley when he was long haul trucking and just from the semi I counted 345 alligators while driving that stretch one way
I used to live on tamiami trail us 41 in Sarasota florida
I’m from TN, I wanna catch fish I go to Pensacola.
Brandt lives in Pensacola.. when he wants to fish he goes to Everglades
Would love it if you would share in in your drop down what video equipment that you use. Thanks Jerry L
Are you cruising along 41 or the other route that runs parallel to the north?
When they don't want to bite, try a beetle spin.
Was this closer to the Miami Side or the West Side? I ask because I live in the Miami side, and mostly catch what you caught. BUT Ive heard that on the WEST Side you catch Tarpon and Snook, and ive really wanted to go try.
We should link up. I am in Ft Lauderdale
I know you said Southwest Florida, but what city were you nearest ?
What road are you on brant
What road is that
US41 /Tamiami Trail
Is that a battery pack underneath your GoPro 9?
Man, that's like fishin in a barrel.lol
BRAD never does anything wrong, while he is fishing, so I must correct you. ONLY when he is trying to catch, and cook the right SHARKS, he is looking for. NEVER would have thought that. Still waiting for REDEMPTION VIDEO.
First bream was what Kentucky people call the war-mouth bream
Looking for the other video link🤷♂️
Wheres this located
I really wish you would stay on the other side of the gaurd rail. You cant trust other peoples driving and i like your videos.
I've had two friends bitten by cottonmouths while fishing the Tamiami Trial .... you might want to think about snake boots or at least some snakeproof leggings.
Brant you got the clickbaite All-Star team in this thumbnail.😂😂😂
Fish point of view: I was just chillin by the shore when suddenly I was launched straight out of the water! WTH!!
Which highway?
US 41
Link for that micro swim bait?
They sell them at Walmart.
He probably has it at their online store Beach Bum Outdoors.
I want to see you catch a snake heads
🎩 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
What do peacock bass taste like can you eat them? Larry
Yeah, people eat them. There is 2 fish limit. I haven't tried it yet though so can't say how it tastes.
@@Steve-ev6vx well another how to catch and cook i see a video coming up soon
Fishing here is completely free but you have to pay for a fishing license to fish here 😂
Brant it’s always a good idea when you find a dead gator to call game and fish and let them investigate in case there’s a disease or something else killing them. They can be proactive the quicker they know about it.
Stump knocker
If you're a senior citizen do you still need a license in Jersey we don't
You don't need one if you are senior and a resident, but not sure about non residents.
@@Steve-ev6vx thanks for the reply
@@thomascope2119 no problem man. Hope you get a chance to come down here and fish.
Hey- did you trade in your truck for a new car???
That's crappie not tilapia
He didn’t catch any Crappie in this video. The first fish was a Spotted Tilapia.
Bro stop throwing invasive species back in please 🙏
I DO NOT UNDERSTAND how you keep throwing the fish BACK???!!!
FISH to eat!
Is it legal to take the skin off a dead croc?
Only if you get caught!!!! No, they are protected and possession of any part of on is STRICTLY prohibited.
@@stanleymerritt2893 thanks
