    This video barely scratches the surface on the topic of shoulder slope. I talk in-depth about it in my online course "Mastering Garment Ease". So glad you presented this video - great information and it made me take a closer look at my shoulder slope. I've been learning to draft patterns and discovered I have more forward shoulders and my front low shoulder point is 2" lower than my high neck/shoulder point. And it is very much a straight transition from one end to the other (not concave or convex). I agree that getting the right fit on your shoulders plays a large part in having your garment hang well on your body. Thank you for your time and knowledge.

    That point is actually the acromion process. It is the top of the scapula (shoulder blade).

    Gina, I have the diagonal drag lines on the back of my slopper when I set in a sleeve. I did pinch out 1/2 at the shoulder. Should I make this adjustment on my slopper? Thank you this video was helpful, my name is Gina too!

    • @GinaRenee
      @GinaRenee  Před 5 měsíci

      Hi Gina! It's always nice meeting other Gina's! :) Yes, if you have a diagonal dragline, then it's a sign the the shoulder slope is not correct for your shape. I recommend updating your sloper. If the across back area is a bit small after you do that adjustment, then I recommend the correction on pages 102-105 in The Fitting Book.
