I've been playing Until you Fall for years, and I am happy this game is getting more exposure! At the harder levels I swear it's a workout and has been a substitute for working out for me at times haha!
Also for the level'd up Knights I found patience to be my answer for beating them (Also the leveled up Hammer boys). Watch their strikes, block, dodge, attack, and you will win! Especially when surrounded!
The best combination in the game is having the rapier in your dominant hand and having the knight blooded crest in your other hand

On my left hand the guard sword on my right (i think it’s the default one lol) been my combo for everything even on nightmare
The axe is really good I use the same thing but with the rapier
my personal favorite (and most exhausting) set up is doing both of the dagger type weapons and just going hyper speed
Dude the dagger speed on here is STUPID fast and I love it. Definitely will be feeling it after you’re done with a run tho haha
@@AwakenToast bro if you get lucky, you can get an upgrade setup so that you can just SPAM your specials.
This game inspired me to learn FMA (Filipino Martial Arts), it started with arnis because of the need for fluid but fast and accurate swings. I would recommend that you guys search " sinawali" tutorial. It's amazing how it's like a back and forth learning. I get better at arnis which makes me better at the game which then makes me better at arnis haha

As a game developer, this is pretty inspiring for VR combat. I like the micro flow states when it comes to the executes, but I think the "Going crazy and swinging wildly" parts should be rewards for the clean executions like a dance. Regardless insanely cool game and I'll be getting it soon to do more research.
I love how you summon the weapon it's the main reason I bought it ngl, reminds me of final fantasy 15 how Noctis just manifests his weapons

This game looks incredibly similar to a game I have been playing called ancient dungeon VR and its basically the same premise you go into a dungeon fight different enemies do a boss fight get upgrades that stack only for that run. I highly recommend that game, it may not be as gorgeous as Until You Fall but its voxel art style just gives me some nostalgia for some reason.
ancient dungeon is lit bro i stumbled on it by accident there’s another one called compound you might enjoy too as far as rouge lites but that ones guns and it has very 16 bit style

That is what you call a Roguelike game. Roguelikes are one of my favorite genres of games, so I’ll definitely have to check out both of those when I get a VR headset.
This was one of my first games on my quests. It definitely prepared me for Asgard's Wrath.

The 2h weapon update is good. I love using the 2h axe and watching the killing blow send the enemies flying😂

This game looks a lot like what I would imagine infinity blade would look like if it was made for vr and was a roguelite, what with the directional and positional dodges, blocks and parries. Even the stagger. Which is a good thing, because infinity blade has been discontinued and is criminally underutilized as an inspiration.
Buying this game, Don't care if I missed the winter sale.

Ooh great run! I can only do easy easy for long periods because challenging becomes a real workout very fast never tried the hardest 😅 Such a fun game, the diferent weapons and combinations you can use are surprisingly in depth too!
They need to release an Infinity Blade expansion for this game. Or some kind of crossover event. This game is literally Infinity Blade in VR and the fans are hungry for IB content

My fav playstyle was the big axe and use the upgraded super to one shot most things as it deals direct damage.

As someone with more hours then anyone sane😅 I enjoy watching people play the early game because at the point I’m at with maxed weapons I just continue running the game and getting better. I wish I could play it for the first time again

I mean, it's made by Schell Studios. Of you know, Jesse Schell. THE Jesse Schell, the author of Gamedesign Bible "The Art of Game Design" 2008. I don't think modern gamedev relies heavy on it tho, but it's definitely THE foundation, a population of game designers was raised on it. Fathers of gamedev!
And for those who are wondering - no, gamedesign is not about art, it's about the core, the gameplay of the game, the rules, the logic, the polishing, the user experience! It's very complicated topic with a lot of nuances, long and short distance thinking, slopes and pits, so, yeah. No wonder the games made by this studio are awesome, even while being not that flashy and kinda simple. And that's exactly the point, the BEST design is when it's not overcomplicated. As they say, it's perfect not when you can't add anything more - it's when you can't take away anything of it without ruining it. And then you polish it, add all the sweet stuff, and there you have it, a perfect game. Well balanced, well designed, not overwhelming, not broken, well polished and focused on the main aspects of it... perfect!

How do u film the super wide fov ? I use a quest 2 and have an ultrawide monitor znd i dont think it s this wide on the monitor ( the fov ) . Did u chznge something in your settings to be able to have it show like this on the monitor too ?
I love that flailing doesn't work in this game. Doing the correct swings and counters/dodges gets you way further than just flailing your hands at stuff
