The "old soul" feeling in the UK winners (and most UK contestants in general) has to do with their culture when you compare to the US. We just don't expect younger people to be able to be mature and well-read in the US, while in the UK they clearly do expect it.
And I think everyone should Ina way cuz alot of these Queens in US,well there great hut there are wayyyy better out there waiting for their chance.
i completely forgot Katkat won her season. i always think the crown went to Bernie, not to bring up old stuff but production was WILD for thinking fans would be fine with crowning her. Especially after that fight where she made Jade cry, like they had a literal perfect hero vs villain story arc with Bernie and Katkat and chose to crown the villain. Bonkers!
if i was a drag performer i'd purposefully try to go on the show at 31 cause i would want to join that holy trinity of winners like WOW
To me, the GOAT lip-sync for your life was that Yvie/Brooke Lynn "Sorry Not Sorry" epic battle ... When Yvie was doing that backward flip and they cut to Ru going "WHAT!?!" ... i knew right there not only would it be a double shantay, but they were letting every one of the girls standing "safely" in the background you all are toast!!!
Isis Avis Loren could have won every challenge on DU3 and it wouldn’t have been that rigged, she was that good (and didn’t have much competition)

How about a video on queens who have competed against the most winners. I think Eureka is no.1 with shea,sasha,trinity,aquaria,monet,ra’jah,kylie. Although the allstars season 7 girls probs do beat her but shes the girl from a non winners season who probably has the most

i feel like a valid season where both queens could’ve won (like monet and trinity) was canada vs the world. i think silky and ra’jah very well have been a double crown. also wouldn’t it be iconic to say “ra’jah o hara and silky nutmeg ganache are twinners.”

Many authors consider 1995 the first gen z year, so Willow is gen z, just like Symone, they were both born they same year and month, and it's funny that they won DR consecutively.

Experience definitely counts in drag. There are the odd few that can take to drag quickly but mostly you need the time to explore and see what works for you I guess.

I think what is missing when talking about Elektra was that if that season was judged in a way that made sense, she would have a far better track record. Could have won either Advert or Rusical and should absolutely have been high in Snatch Game.

For DRDU, hear me out ~ Michelle host/judge, Rhys judge, and a rotating judges spot for Kita Mean, Spankie, Isis Avis Loren, and Hannah Conda + Kween Kong too (the other undeniable standouts from the franchise). That way we’d have a queen that understands Down Under drag on the panel every week. Of course, I’d want Courtney Act too but that split with WoW still seems to exist. Wouldn’t that give the franchise a boost that it needs?! The producers really should listen to me :)

Perhaps a good and informative video would be to update us fans on the queens who have had past health problems; i.e. Yvie Oddly, Willow Pill, Cynthia Lee Fontaine, Tamisha Iman, even Jinxx with her narcolepsy, and any I’ve left out and/or from international seasons.

I have to ask, except for the Rusical, which of Pitita's other wins was controversial? Sure Pakita could have also won the Ball but that doesn't make it controversial for Pitita to win it; they were both exceptional. I don't know, I feel people project on Pitita their issues with how production treated Clover.
tbh the season was like 50 seasons ago now, but yeah she still dominated the season with only 1 weird win
@@oscarkamala It was a season with weird judging but the main think is, Clover was only the second AFAB queen on the show so when she got several questionable critiques it really soured people.
For me, Clover felt like she was cast to be in the bottom from the start which is so unfair but here is my reasoning; Espana 2 was widely considered one of the best seasons but with very lackluster lip syncs. I think they cast Clover specifically to be the lip sync assassin. And to do that, you need to be in the bottom. So any chance they got, they put her there to get a show. The issue is that made people feel she was just cast as a diversity hire with no intent to treat her properly; which is still what I am suggesting but for a very different reason (not out of discrimination towards AFAB queens but simply because she had a clear role in production) that is still crap but at least is more reality shenanigans than morally problematic.
And yes Pitita was a bit shady but it was more like very self-assured about what she can do than deprecating other queens. She delivered fashion on a different level to any other queen till that point in Espana (who had queens with amazing looks but those were either Drag or Alt Drag rather than Fashion) and still won an acting and improv challenge by being the funniest (and both times it wasn't even close).
It is a shame because the cast and the performances were there for a far more satisfying season with different decisions but Pitita would have still won that version as well (and hey maybe in an ideal season her reveal in the finale would have worked)

Lipsync won in the first 10 seconds. Jaida v Heidi, Jaida won the second she turned around. Which is even more incredible considering Heidi is a great lipsyncer.
Props to you for not commenting on how the queens look for their age. Lots of people have anxiety about looking too young/old so I’m sure it’s nice for the queens to not be judged this way.
I'm slightly bored with Mera and Scarlett coming for Gisele Lullaby every time they talk about Drag Race winners. I agree that Miss Fiercalicious should have had the chance to lip sync for the Crown, but I still think that Giselle would've beaten her. They really should try to get over it.
