Yeah! Kevin Afghani keeps to the spirit of Charles Martinet, though he also tries to make Wario sound his own way, similar to what he does as Mario and Luigi in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. :) Makes me curious how he'll also do as Waluigi in the future.
First, Mario, Luigi and now Wario. I think he's going to do Waluigi voice next.

I love how much this game feels the most like a direct sequel to Smooth Moves (which is a good thing since that's one of the best anyway)

That's because it's a sequel to Wario Ware Smooth Move from the Wii Era 2006-2012.

Some additional context for (most) stages:
Wario - Wario gets trapped in a wooden cage in his Game Over animation, and people make many assumptions on what happens to him after. My theory is they can’t *kill* or sacrifice him because he’s a tourist and all that, would be bad press. So I imagine Wario is just left in a police station somewhere and has to pay a fine, a fate worse than death to Wario.
Crygor and Co. - Why would the caveman work on paper when they were painting on the wall? Simple! Drafts! He wants to find the perfect poses for the wall, which he sees as a more permanent addition compared to paper. Hence why he gets back to work on the wall in the ending cutscene, having the reference draft to perfect the final painting.
Orbulon - What’s going on in the stage probably isn’t actually real, more of a metaphor of what’s happening. The smog represents the fuzz and ambiguity of basically everything in his mind right now, and the objects in his head get uncovered once his memories (the rainbow liquid) is expelled from his brain cells like a vault, metaphorically “mining deep” into them for any hints or clues of what was and figuring everything else out from there through context and mental connection. This is my favorite stage, to be honest. I LOVE the metaphors and environmental context here.
Kat and Ana - From what I’ve heard, the plants you fight in this stage are from Warioland 4, a boss called Kractus. A fun reference and amazing character design, I must say. Warioland fans must be going WILD right now!
Cricket and Mantis - Cicada is from a game in Rhythm Heaven, where a young Cricket passed a ball to Cicada and vice versa. The reason why Cricket or Mantis can’t remember is, well, it’s been a long amount of time since they were young. The fact these two met at all must’ve been a coincidence, being invited to vacation at the same time and place.

This game reminded how much I love Ashley, Kat, 5-Volt, 9-Volt, 18-Volt and Cicada voices.
That’s right my friends! The new game was finally released!
The microgame from 9-Volt's stage that had the prompt "Pass through!" unlocked so much childhood nostalgia for me, especially with the jingle at the end (for context, I think that microgame was based on the "Pose Mii" minigame from Wii Play - which was one of the Wii games I spent a lot of time playing as a little kid; I spent a lot more time on Wii Sports though)
1:04:26 Calling it now (I promise I have not seen the ending of this level) 5-Volt started acting weird because of how good the deals were

on one hand, warios new voice has a little bit less of the "hee hee" spice he had in gold, but at least hes easier to understand.
I think him having less waah in the wario voice makes him sound more like how I imagine waluigi would talk. Overall it’s not too bad, and with time he may be able to get the Wario voice down 👌🏼
I finished the main story in this game and this was the first one where I had to like step back and ask myself what just happened

Even though I have met Charles Martinet 3 times on MegaCon convention events, it is kinda heartbreaking to see him retire as the voice of Mario, Luigi and many others.
However, it is good to see a young man filling in for Charles Martinet.
Kevin Afghani, you are really going the extra mile! Seeing as I'm a big fan of the Super Mario franchise, you really take my beloved Super Mario characters to a whole new level, especially giving rise to Charles's legacy!

I love how most of the game is trying to be Smooth Moves 2, but not an exact copy. I also like how the little character icons are styled after how Wario and his employees looked in Get It Together when they got sucked into their own game.
I just love how in Orbulon's level, there's like one live but once it's lost it goes back to four losing three.

Again, Kevin is doing an excellent job as the new voice for Mario, Luigi, and Wario (and assumedly Waluigi next time he appears.) He sounds slightly off from what I'm used to, as is to be expected, but his voices are remarkably close enough that I feel like I'll get used to them quickly.

It's because Charles Martinet had good portrayals of them and people can voice multiple characters too. Kevin Afghani is pretty much doing the same thing with voicing them.
I was actually hoping that Wario’s new voice actor is Kellen Goff but oh well. At least Kevin and Kellen are very similar names!

Umm...is part of this video glitched? Cause I think when Wario said "gimme all the gold" during his last level cutscene, it immediately cut forward a bit. Even happened in the boss microgame as well! Not saying the game is the problem, its more likely needing a fixer-upper in a few tiny spots.
Edit: yeah, i saw it again! I think they're skipping parts in the game! I think someone's running out of time to make videos...
