@@JawTooth I would say that that would constitute an emergency with it flapping around and possibly going through the cab of an oncoming train, bt there are also emergency contact numbers at every crossing that one can call.
That last train was hella! Fun fact about Hamilton. Back in the 80s, the officials decided to rename Hamilton, its new name was still Hamilton but it was given an exclamation point after its name as in Hamilton! They were trying to draw attention to their "new and improved city.
Very nice shot at 13.24 seeing the train switches track. And all that equipment till 17.26, seeing the train disappear behind the buildings on the bend.
That's a powerful statement about the healing power of Hamilton, Ohio. Anyhow, that's the way I viewed this morning's video. Sure makes someone wanna get outta there and go to a better place. Although, it sure made you sound better, Señor Jaws... and maybe take us down to Florida or far out West for the total cure. But, I guess you had to start somewhere. Gracias por tu video. RT sends, Puebla, México...
I have plans for some faraway trains but I still don't feel a hundred percent. This might be the worst cold I have ever got. I can't get any energy. Red Bull doesn't even help lol
I can see why there are many gate-runners in that first clip - there are very long trains going very slowly and people are late for work and other important activities! Me, I'm never in that much of a hurry for anything - unless I need to drop a deuce!
Hey jaw tooth cool trains. As a railfan I'd stop even if gates aren't all the way down. People in Hamilton probably won't be happy with me. Oh well. Have a great railroad day 🙋♀️
Thank you for another video from Hamilton, Ohio, Jaw Tooth! I liked this video. The maintenance of way train had a lot of interesting equipment on it. I wish that we had some idea what all those machines did. I was nice seeing the shoving platform (caboose) again
Ohio (railroading) at its best, in Hamilton...what a fabulous location! Always a treat when you visit there, JT...glad to see you're feeling better, too. Very cool seeing that local with a Geep-40 pair leading the way...looks like that transfer caboose, though, is "past its prime" (bay windows boarded-up, etc.). That NS MofW train was amazing...practically their entire inventory of equipment onboard those flatcars!!! 👍👍
Thank you very much! I got really lucky on the day I went up there. I will have another video from that day where two trains were passing and they were long
Nice catches Very cool on the caboose. There is an old Chessie System caboose sitting at the abandoned old flour mill in Highspire Pa. Near Harrisburg.
@@JawTooth Thanks Brian you are welcome. That flour mill years ago made Maypo cereal. It was the Standard Milling Company. You could smell it in the air. The caboose there is odd because C& O never ran close to this area? This mill hs been closed for at least 20 years.
That was a good one. They had some interesting stuff. I like the two cranes near the rear of the train that had wagons in front and behind them. I have never seen those
At some point that train will probably have to make a long "backing" movement so the caboose is used for the conductor / brakeman to safely stand on as he / she watches the rails instead of hanging off a rear ladder on the last car for a distance of several miles, a good use for an otherwise obsolete piece of equipment.
Ahh, Heaton St... The runner capital of railroad crossings. 😂😂 My old neighborhood in Middletown, at Woodlawn, near Cohen Bros, that used to be the runner capital... At least in Middletown it was back in the late 80s and early 90s.
Monster freights, impatient drivers ignoring road signs, and one open container of TVs, I thought they properly locked those containers? Jawtooth delivers again.👍🏼
Double DPU bonus and a crummy bonus, nice! The MOW train is the modern equivalent of the circus train. Instead of neat coloful wagons you get to see all kinds of cool equipment. Excellent video, liked it much. Thanks JT!
Another great video! Of all the MOW equipment, I didn't see a brushcutter. Come to think of it, I don't remember seeing a brushcutter in ANY RR video, yours or anyone else's. But I've only been watching RR videos on CZcams for about a year. Why am I so focused on the brushcutter, you may ask? About 40 years ago, I worked for the Providence & Worcester RR here in eastern CT, I was on the brushcutter crew for about 3 months. Took us that long to cut the 30 or so miles of newly acquired Conrail trackage between Plainfield and Groton, which hadn't been cut at all for at least a decade and was VERY dense.
What a GREAT video….great catches and comments and the usual great JT attitude, Brian. Did you say “DPUs. I see youse”?. That’s New York City, not Ohio!!! Stay safe, my friend. And only one loco up front? No mid or end DPUs and no protection? Isn’t all that MOW equipment important? Hi to Mrs. Tooth and the Pets!
It's trains in Hamilton Ohio at the crossings nice to see them on the side of the city with all the old buildings and feed silos, of course your pets dogs and chickens and slideshows of the trains and an open container on one of the train cars,Thank You Jaw Tooth.🤠👍:: 🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🇺🇲💨

Cool, thanks for watching and commenting! It is becoming rare to see a caboose. A few of the cabooses that I used to film are gone and I only know of a few of them still in use

Another awesome video from Jaw Tooth. Glad you're feeling better. There should be a camera at that crossing to catch the gate runners. Something might happen one day. Have a nice day 😊🌈
Those buildings are still available to be the new "Jawtooth Railfan Hotel/Motel". Remember too that I volunteered to drive the tour bus to the restored train station and/or the bars. Also, do you know why the CSX train used the NS line?
Why the CSX train on the NS line? IIRC both roads use these rails with CSX headed to their own tracks to service customers. At some point that train will probably have to make a long "backing" movement so the caboose is used for the conductor / brakeman to safely stand on as he / she watches the rails instead of hanging off a rear ladder on the last car for a distance of several miles, a good use for an otherwise obsolete piece of equipment.
Glad you're better. I've been under the weather a couple of days. There is a bug going around here that is bad enough to be annoying. I bet that first train was a break-apart. It might come apart somewhere down the line and those DPUs manned up and go somewhere else. Maybe. You'd think they could change those wheels on that caboose. I bet it's "fun" to ride in. I was laughing at that MOW train because I think it had at least one of every sort of MOW equipment in existence. Engine music at 17:55. Listen to the power. Um. Are they fryers? Thanks, JT. You know how to do it.

Wow, look at the abandoned factories in the background 😮 when spurs were still there I bet there was a small railyard there
