yasmin yarnall Aw amazing! Please go for it! Second week in now and loving life. It can be very overwhelming at times but it’s just incredible mainly. It’s only overwhelming because I feel like I should know more than I do, but we have to remember we can’t know it all 🙈 I keep telling people this advice and I need to remind myself daily haha. Xx

DaiAsh Awww bless you! It can be very overwhelming. I’ve felt this the last few weeks to be fair! My first couple of weeks were brilliant but now, for some reason I’ve started putting too much pressure on myself. So I’m going gone worrying about silly things and worrying I’m doing things wrong. I’m so tired I’ve made a silly mistake recently (nothing major but still...) and that’s not me. But the team here are amazing and so supportive, they are changing my hours around to help me out too 💙 they are fabulous. You’ll get there honestly! Everyone I’ve spoken to who’s NQN and a year in now have all said they felt like this. They all said it’s a huge leap from student to NQN so please don’t feel you’re alone and it’s you. Keep going and get support if you need it 💙 xx

Hello I like your videos what made you to go into GP nursing instead of hospital nursing

      Jamira's World Thank you :)
I’m just not a ward nurse. I knew that from day 1. And then when I went on GP placement I fell in love. It’s amazing! I knew this would be my career ahead! :) I love the autonomy, I love the fact you see your patients time and time again and can follow them up. Where as wards it’s acute and you feel you’re treating a symptom and then letting them leave. I didn’t like that 🙈 I like to follow up with patients :) xx

Jamira's World there’s also more you do as a GP nurse than the words in the terms of different patients and a lot more variety. You see young to old and different conditions etc. If that makes sense haha. Unless you go to A&E and then you’ll see everything there too :) x

Oh I have done this in my car only it wasn’t a wall it was a colleague’s car and I had to go back into the office and tell her. I wanted the earth to open up and consume me!!!
