- Unbelievable scene here on a summer's afternoon as toxic gas, smoke, soot, and other particles fill the region. Just 2 hours after my previous upload which can be found here: hive.blog/hive-154369/@drutte...
much strength!
Hang in there.
I hope this passed over your area! Thanks for sharing this experience, i would might not have been as calm as you
We are getting moments of mostly-fresh air in between ugly periods. The media keeps hyping fear. The weather is a bit cooler but apparently the fire continues to advance.
Looks ugly and dangerous. Hope this is over soon. All the best drutter friend
Looks like hell
I know. I drive a semi truck from Surrey to Castlegar twice a week. It's very smoky.
Its you Roch
Go buy a 20x20 hepa filter for a furnace. Specs: 1900 to 2200 3M models will be ideal from home depot or lowes... stick it in front of any fan, box fan (20x20) would be ideal and tape it or secure it to a regular fan so the air blows directly through it. These are as good as 1000$ hepa filters as the university studies suggest. They will scrub the air clean and rid 99.99% of your smoke. Not jokin... seal up the house and ur good.
Best advice is buy 2 for the house or have an additional fan circulating so the air in the home moves and finds the filter.. (to clean the air you have to move the air)
Cheers Rutter
Very cool idea, I will look into it. Sounds a lot cheaper than a $200 unit that only really does part of the house.
@@drutter Here's what will blow your mind.. It stands next to 1000$ units...
just make sure you get the 1900-2200 3M hepa filters... When you read the packaging at the store, itll be a wtf moment.. looking forward to your reply.
The only thing to watch for when assembling is make sure the hepa filter arrow is pointing with the flow of air. For example, if the fan is pointing at you and your being hit with air, make sure the arrow on the filter is also pointing at you.
Take care,
-Dan
