    Your lost bullet went through the upper hole of the 37.3 target. Both mine are a 8 twist 17 inch and a 26 in. Both like several powders (N150, A4350, H223, Varget, Imr4064 etc with several different bullets from 55s to 80.5 and from 2870fps to 4015fps. 22 Creed is definitely my new favorite. My best is .270in group. Thanks for the video.

      Yeah you just don't want to really start load development for a new barrel until you get about 100 to 200 rounds down the barrel

    Ps try Moly on the bullets. It will slow down the bullet (less psi) so you can increase case fill. I just had great results with almost everything I threw out of it. Thanks

      Hey man thanks for commenting and watching I watch a lot of your videos but haven't seen your 22 creedmoor videos I'll have to check it out. I'm glad you've had that happen too cuz I don't think some people think it can happen that quickly

    Why would you use light bullets on a twist that fast? At a 100 yards you will be fine. The exploding bullets with overly fast twist will usually start coming apart beyond 300 to 400 yards or so. Why people are making barrels with a twist that tight is beyond me. Even 90 and 95 grainers don't need to spin that fast, especially in a cartridge like the 22CM that can really push them fast.. I could understand it in cartridge that can't push heavy bullets very fast, say past 2800 fps or so. Like a 22arc, or .223/5.56. Cartridges that have small case capacities and won't be able to push heavy for caliber bullets at high speeds..

    • @Shoot_Reload_Repeat
      @Shoot_Reload_Repeat  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Oh I'll be using heavier bullets shortly I just started off with 77 grain to see if I can get them to stabilize and I do agree with you 22 creedmoor does not need this fast of a twist it's the only thing I could find when I purchased a barrel I knew I would be handicapped a little bit but watch the next few videos and I get the 77s to stabilize I have 80gn eldm coming and I will be purchasing the 95gn smk I just wanted to see what it would take to stabilize the 77s and for 22 caliber 77 grains is heavy for caliber the heaviest you can get is 95gn in 22 caliber or that's the heaviest I can find

      @@Shoot_Reload_Repeat That sounds sweet, I"ll be on the lookout for those videos. :) I'm running a 22 GT and I'm loving it so far. I run mostly the 88, and 90 grainers. I've been thinking hard about those 95 smk. I may grab and box and load them up. :)

    • @Rico11b
      @Rico11b Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@Shoot_Reload_Repeat Yes, if you REALLY over-drive them they'll come apart inside of 100y. Even if you back down the load a bit to stop the bullets from coming apart inside of 100y, you'll likely find that they'll still come apart past 300 to 400 yards or so. Just because the RPMs are just way too high. Hornady recommends NOT to spin bullets beyond 280,000 RPMs for the 88 ELD. It'll be less for shorter lighter bullets. You can use this formula to help figure out the what the RPMs will be. Bullet RPM = MV X 720/Twist Rate (in inches)
