Omg! Car battery is completely dead car kept clicking after i turned the key back off and was stuck in ignition... found your video and i finally got the key turned all the way back off and out. Your a lifesaver!!!!
Much appreciated! This allowed me to remove the key, but it got stuck again the next time. Part two is to shift quickly and forcefully from D to P. This fixed it permanently.

They actually suggested for me to leave my car with key in, partially on aaaallll night. Said they'd give me a jump in the morning to take it to the dealership. THIS video saved my time, money, energy and so much frustration. Thank you thank you thank!! I have a 2014 Chevy Malibu and this worked for me.

I think my battery died, then my key got stuck in the ignition. So with your help I got my key out now I need to find out why my car won't start. I need to find someone to give my battery a jump.

We had the same problem with our Chevy Cruze and it's your gear shift not engaging all the way in park... A new gear shift was put in and key comes out now

Check your shifter knob make sure the button on it isn't getting stuck and not letting the key cylinder unlock. Had the same problem on a 2011 buick regal where the key wouldnt come out and that ended up being the problem

I have a 2010 Cruise and faced the exact same problem, but unfortunately...not all models are made the same...mine doesn't have that hole under the steering wheel :( now my car sits on the sidewalk with the ignition key inside just waiting to be stolen. what a shame Shevy! I'm NEVER buying another shitty of a car from that company

So my last option is either to replace the ignition switch or replace the Anti theft Control Module or whatever is the name or a new battery. Cause i already bought the ignition switch solenoid and the ignition switch that goes on the back (2015 Chevrolet Traverse LS) and still doing the same thing.
I can’t get it to work. I have the exact same car, but when you turn the car on it won’t come on. I then switch it back off but I can’t get my key out.
There's something in the steering column that almost feels like a clock made of metal you have to angle the screwdriver just right and you will actually feel it unlock or turn..it takes time to get it right. I hope that helps

Or you could just pop open that tab next to the shifter and press down that tab and take out the key this will work on any car that has that tab
