I like the fact that William Knifeman doesn't look like a Hollywood concept of a warrior. He looks like an everyman who was told to pick up a weapon, mount a horse and defend his home.

Sterlin Harjo and Dallas Goldtooth are part of a Native comedy troupe called the 1491s. You see the other members in the show too: Migizi Penseneau, Bobby Wilson, and Ryan Redcorn. And they all have written for the show as well.

Yeah, it's incredibly affecting for me too. Paulina Alexis and Lily Gladstone have real craft as actors and incredible on screen chemistry together. Every moment they did together was great work but that scene in particular is just a different kind of truly special. I'm not an indigenous person but I am the grandson of Dutch war refugees who fled nazi atrocities as children with a scant few relatives who also made it out. Watching this scene brought them back in my memory and also made me think of all those I never got to meet who were killed in Luftwaffe bombing raids or rounded up to die in the camps, and the generations that came before them. I'm pretty well a dead over guy but I couldn't help but wonder if they were all around somehow in some way watching over things, and what they would make of me as a man, got to me for sure...
Dallas Goldtooth was the perfect casting choice for this role. He just makes the character his own and one of the best parts of this already incredible series

And this is why I no longer watch tv. You find A show you actually love and then it gets canceled or the producers don’t want to do it anymore. Whatever the reason the show is gone.
And for some unknown reason the same types of shows are being thrown out for the masses like they’ve never been done before. Cooking/Food, home improvement, home buying, celebrity reality, reality dating, survival etc. I don’t care what some celebrity is doing in their reality because I’m too busy trying to live mine.

There is a bird in the eastern Washington area that makes that sound. I thought maybe natives imitated it because they could signal each other- who’re people wouldn’t recognize it being man or bird. But a native would.
