Don't know why they keep ripping out established vegetation. Those trees/bushes would have prevented a landslide - now it's just dirt and mulch. They have the eye - but what do you guys have against preserving established trees and bushes?

So if you stairs are in front of the front door it's bad "Feng shui" and it means all your money is going to run out of the front door? Excellent, the majority of houses are like that, here in the uk 🙂

The fireplace looks stunning if a bit commercial. The white and blue tile in the bathrooms is gorgeous; the backsplash tile not so much. Great idea to split the large bathroom into two to create an en suite.

  • @b_uppy
    @b_uppy Před 2 lety +9

Move the doorway a few feet. It's cheaper than moving the stairs.
Looks like they removed the step up/step down and it's isolated to the front entry.
The hillside was improved how??? Lol.
The slider in the bedroom was an improvement. Upstairs laundry was super.
Her consultant used vague terms she knew most any wife would agree to, lol.

  • @marieslabbert6009

It was a good decision to split the bathroom in 2 and add a laundry room. Even if they did not get their list price, they made a good profit! 👏👏👏👏

Honestly a missed opportunity by not moving the doorway a few feet outwards

If Christina really understood feng shui, she would have redesigned the staircase so it didn't end right in the door. I know she has affected cures with the bells and the rug, but for me, just walking into this house I would turn around and walk out. Having stairs right at the front door is one of my pet peeves and I couldn't live with it.

The living room is beautiful. Nature colors. The kitchen is too gray, doesn't flow with the living room and upstairs. The white blue tiles would be great in the kitchen too. Sand color kitchen doors.
    Definitely a beautiful house.
Kitchen doesn't Feng Sui with the rest of the House...

When they renovate teeny tiny lounge rooms and Kitchens I think sometimes that should be made into 1/4 bedroom in the tiny kids and should be an ensuite and make a kitchen somewhere lounge room somewhere else

Sense this house is a LARGE family home, the staircase SHOULD have been one of their MAJOR "eye catching" challenges, right there at the front door just as you come into the house... have it curved out, with a UNIQUELY B.U.TI.FUL handrail banister, as the FIRST focal point into the house (a GOOD saleing feature).
PLUS... at the top of the stairs, CURVE the handrail banister, making the top 3 steps gradually wider.
    * PLUS... I can see where the curved staircase would be possible, by MOVING the load bearing post slightly over NEXT TO the staircase (making sure that load bearing post goes all the way up through the whole house for the support it needs.
    * THEN... REMOVE ALL other obsticles of unneeded walls & debree ( opening up the WHOLE living room area for that OPEN CONCEPT). 😁

Did anyone notice that with that million dollar house, there's no real guest bath downstairs? You have to go into the bedroom to use the bathroom, which is a little odd.
That was a good compromise with the stairs. They looked MUCH better afterward.

Sorry but I always find her overpriced , rip it all out and design very one dimensional. She always turns rooms into a standard box , usually some shade of white, with excessive staging. Spending a gazillion dollars to decorate is not creative or very doable these days. I'm sticking to other shows .
