That's Kristin Chenoweth. She trained as an opera singer before she was on Broadway. She was Glee's first guest star. And Mercedes' vocal at the end came to be known as the "park and bark"
“Park and bark” is a term that’s been around for a VERY long time on broadway. It refers to a star (usually female) who just stands center stage and sings their big number. They don’t usually end up doing choreography - even if there is lots of dancing happening behind or around them.
Highly recommend the full version of Somebody to Love. The guys who plays Artie absolutely kills it!

Yes I'd love a longer version of Alone from the two of them, it sounded great.

You actually forgot a couple performances. "Don't Stop Believin" with Finn and Quinn (though it's short) and "Last Name" with April.
