Honestly shortly after, I got back to square one so I took it to the Apple Store and they said they could take a look at it, but only if I paid. And my mom didn’t want to do that. So now my phone is back with the button not clicking and the Touch ID not working. It is annoying having to use the accessibility button but for the most part, my phone is still usable, so I’ll keep using it for now. Maybe I’ll get a newer phone in the future when I have more money but for now I’m stuck with it. So it’s up to you what choice you want to make

After a contact with sea water the touch id doesn't work. I tried all but nothing. I cleaned all also the mother board of my iphone 6s. Before cleaning the phone was almost unusable. After the cleaning was ok. The home button work properly, everything work. Just the touch id. I have not oder idea why. Let me know what to do 🥴

Hi, if you still have the issue try opening the phone up and check if there is any damage in the home button flex cable. If it is there take it to a professional and solder it. If it is fine then inspect the cable which connects the button and board, the one that travels through the display backplate. If it is damaged change it. In my 6s the backplate cable was damaged. Make sure you still have the original home button though
