Once the tracker was shoved in just above Cly’s left ankle, and his pain from fresh sutures dulled by drugs, it was on to the Interdimensional Induction Center, a vast underground facility that resembled a museum in certain sections and a catacomb in others.
With chains dangling from his wrists and ankles, he shambled along, the clanking of metal muting the hustling crowds. His warder companions, each one taking a shoulder, suddenly became silent and hurried, conforming to both the solemn atmosphere of the sacred building and mood of anxious people indifferent to one another’s’ presence, moving in and out of long corridors spread out like tentacles in every direction.
Not far from an entrance to a sealed area marked Restricted in gold letters above the door, he was unceremoniously passed off to two chamber guards wearing special protective gear, each with a cattle baton--what some referred to as "inspiration rods"--and full belt of other weaponry long since outlawed in subjugated lands across the continent.
They moved in close, almost pressing against his face, hot breath breaching the thick fabric of their masks, with one squeezing his arm as the other whispered, “Make one sound or act out in any way and you’ll find worse things than Pathway or prison.”
Cly wanted to suggest there was a poem hidden somewhere in that warning but knew nothing good would come of his adolescent quip, so he simply nodded and averted his eyes.
Pathway, his destined rite of passage in that bleak world suspended in the sky above and on the other side of the portal, felt like a reality now. Clemency was a dream. He'd be forced to endure whatever trial awaited him in the tortured land of cannibals.
A tour of duty the magistrate and junta swore would make every citizen resilient and worthy enough for society, Pathway awaited. It would be a new world to him and the other inductees. When his time was up, if he survived, Cly was expected to come back appreciative of all Delslania Proper had to offer.

Hi y'all. Wow. Can't deny this is a great channel and soo peaceful sounds. And the artwork inspiring. And we all wish we could be there or a place like it. But uh...wait a minute. Unless I'm mistaken, don't dreams really come true? Just in the movies you might say. No. NOT just in the movies. Remember kids. WE. The Humans. The Terrans, have always managed to see our dreams, and in one way or another, have reached out and taken firm hold of them, refusing to let nothing tear then out of our hands. Hell. Not even the threat of death has stopped us. And we have actually made them come true. Yes. Some were nightmares. And we have paid so dearly because of them. But that has not stopped us from still dreaming the good dreams. The ones that we absolutely know in our gut that when fulfilled, they will lead and help us reach our most amazing potential that we couldn't even have imagined. Case in point. Mr. Jules Vern. What? Did we forget about him and where we are today? I submit, we WILL see these visions appearing here. And SO much more. It's in our nature since we were children. We peek under rocks. We stare at a spider spinning a web. And at some point, in our lives, we looked up into the night sky. AND WE WONDERED? WOW! Way before Gene Rodenberry, way before Marvel Studios, way before Godzilla. We just knew. I wanted to remind us all here that we are just now confirming what the great minds and "experts" were not sure of. Thanks to an incredibly delicate tool named after Mr. James Web, we now know that the stars, and this vast universe, is now for a certainty so crowded with worlds. Yes. WORLDS! And not just primitive exoplanets. Hard lifeless rocks, or poisonous hell zones. NO! They have atmospheres. They have water. They have blue, and even green skies. And some of them are enormous. The mathematicians are now admitting they can't guess how the numbers are going to come out on this one. So. Think your dreams are only wishful thinking? I for one, don't think so.
