I've just bought a ninebot max because has great reviews, but today a guy passed me pretty fast on one a dragon gtr v2, I was jealous, looks pretty good and is just 300 dollars more expensive than mine
I cant turn mine on! Have charged it (even though power bank light was always green) have pressed the power button from 1 holds second to up to 10 seconds and still nothing!
Even though it has quad shocks on the front, when I jump up and down on the front deck, I find hardly any movement in the deck? Are they doing their job or just for show?
They barely function, I just sold it to someone else and Bought a vsett 10 lol. It's not a bad scooter, but it has it's quality limitations for the price you're paying.
@@ObviouslyPie not really it's because to keep the ride safe at high speeds because the softer the suspension is the easier it will get out of hand so it's more of a safety thing
ReaLzEdits the base model GT smashed the heck out of it’s posted range. Given that you’re not going uphill the entire time and riding mostly flat you’ll get the posted range perhaps more out of all their Dragon scooters!
Ballistic Trigg3r the zero 10x would most likely go further, but they are very similar feature wise except the price for this one is actually reasonable. :)
I'll explain, Speed by law on E scooters cannot be above 25kph. BUT! most high powered scooters have a mode which allows it to go over 25kph (on private property) so no, you do not need to do any kind of registering. You need to follow the speed limit when "not on private property!"
Any way we can get the indicators from the gts on this one and a key switch? I really don’t feel comfortable leaving something this powerful locked up at a bike rack when someone can come along and turn it on and seriously hurt themselves and others, mind you I’d be glad they got hurt touching my shit but still. It’d be nice to have at least one anti-theft measure for something over $1000 besides its weight :)
Hey Aimz, I do know how to do it myself, and am more than happy to make up the correct wiring kit for it too. Just wish it wouldn’t void the warranty to put one on :)
Is the d4’s using a plug and play connector or would you have to cut and solder? If it was just a connector it wouldn’t void warranty, but if you’re cutting, splicing and soldering it definitely will!
I’ll be doing some too, a 3 speed switch for the three speed switch would be pretty good for more speed control. You’d have to pull up the base plate and expose the controller, looking around for the displays + and - rails and throw it in before the display. Don’t go wiring it into the battery to controller circuit, you’ll just burn out the voltage readout and switch and add a ridiculous amount of resistance to your battery pack, you only want to disable the display from being able to turn on when the key is off :) Any ideas for a thumb throttle would be welcomed btw, was thinking I could biggyback off the throttle pot and wire up an ebike throttle, wouldn’t be too hard to make clean giving the option between thumb or trigger throttles. The last mod would actually be to swap the 20mm wide struts at the front end with something from a pit bike or 50cc scooter would improve ride Quality rather than shaving your headstock to bits and loosening suspension bolts (that literally makes me nervous to the point I think my front end would just explode randomly)
If you hit the power button 4 times to cycle through display modes you’ll find a voltage readout on the display btw :) For some reason the gt reads 42.4v at fully charged, rather concerning tbh.
Aimz Karim this is true, however the voltage readout on the key switches is also rather untrustable still, to be completely honest, I think finding a way to get two base runners from grin in there with a cycle analyst or something similar would be best, I’m not a huge fun of the display and throttle in the first place, I did however manage to mount mine so I can read the screen and not get cramps from the throttle on longer rides, it’s even easier to be finer on the speed controls.
mate, one question, I'm currently thinking of getting one and I'm in Melbourne. Is this e-scooter legal to be used in Melbourne? I'm not sure where you live, but just wanted to ask. I checked some website it says by regulation, you can have scooter with max speed of 10km/h and machine power max of 200W? The fine is quite hefty if you get caught of having 'illegal' scooter with fine up to $826 I heard.
It's fully legal and as long as you are not doing anything stupid you shouldn't have anything to worry about and as long as you respect other people on the footpath you should be fine
@@ryanwalter757 problem is I checked VicRoad, which basically regulates things involved in public road. They have certain limit on max motor power and max speed limit of scooter which basically put most of E-scooter out there illegal (based on the law). That's why i'm wondering about this.
I’ll be putting a review up on reddit after I make my order on Thursday and spend a day or two getting around on it :D I’ve already done one for the GT
Daniel Matotek always man, I have one up for the GT at the moment, it will have an update in a few days, I have some questions for the shop before I do my last update for it before I get my GTRV2, the missus has decided she wants a gts instead of the Gtr v2, she really needs the indicators for street riding so it looks like I’ll be able to review atleast half their range of scooters

I just got mine today, I can't wait to riding on this EkKA Public Holiday
Wow now that is a Scooter I'll go for Dual Motor 😱
Hi just received mine, just put it on charge, can't wait to see how it goes
How is it?
This blokes off his rocker!!! Jumping the scooter!! Huge ballz surprised he hasn't been approached by nitro circus

Try to find the adjusting screw if any. Many other scooters have them.
The VSETT8+ have them.

They are good. I have one
What's the max speed you can do? They seem to come locked to 25k's?
@@DanielMatotek they can be unlocked it's easy. Too speed bout 52 KMs
@@darrenmudge3986 Thanks for the reply, is this on full charge? What about at around 40% battery
Daniel Matotek bout 52 kms hour
Aimz Karim no issues there a great scooter strong robust powerful u can get almost 60 km battery life
The same china scooter is branded under hundreds of different brands
How long is the battery lifetime? I've never owned an E vehicle, I'm interested to see how long these things should last.

Check out how many times you can charge them.
Some call it the charging cicle. 500 times usually last 3 years. Pending how many times you do it.
Hmmmm.... I'm on the market for a good electric scooter... wondering how this stack up against the zero 10x?? Thoughts peoples.. 🤔🤔🤔

did you have to register your scooter because it goes over 25 km or not? pls respond cos I really wanna know

That is correct. 200W max and no more than 10kph. However, unless you're in the cops faces being stupid I doubt they'll bother you.
