It is Galvanised Steel Sheetmetal, thickness 0.7mm. We use it all the time, it is the best but please don't use thicker if it is for students projects. The high school kids are not strong enough and it is hard on the hand tools. Thickness of 0.7mm seems to be the sweet spot for us. Still nice and strong and easy to work with.
