Hey everyone welcome back to another video! Today I am super excited we are taking a look at an awesome class B motorhome! This is the American Coach Patriot! Now let me tell you! You guys know I am not a huge fan of class b motorhomes but if I had to get one then it would 100% be this. Also people always ask me what is the best class b motorhome! Well it is this one. - Auta a dopravnĂ prostĆedky
Beautiful motorhome, but those lithium batteries underneath the coach are going to get stolen and they are going to get very cold or very hot.
You are so right. People here are stealing catalytic converters from under cars IN THE OWNERS DRIVEWAYS, and they are worth much less for the risk than those batteries.
Yes, those batteries will not last due to cold & heat if they are not stolen.
I was going to make a meaningful comparison to the Ekko, but the price kills that. I can't see any logistic reason to pay 70000 more, other than maybe the 4 wheel drive. But honestly, the younger crowd who is looking for the most intense off-road experience is not looking for this at this price. As a 47 year old, looking for something small and versatile, I am looking at the Ekko or the Leisure Travel Van.
It looks good from the outside, period. No van is worth a quarter million.
Truth
Iâm sorry, but if the best $250,000đłClass B in the world has a 1 burner cooktop, a mini sink and fridge, a bed that you have to make every night with no place to store your bedding during the day and completely exposed very expensive lithium ion batteries then Iâm going to have to pass in a BIG wayđ
I agree with your comment! Also, lithium-ion batteries are notorious for catching fire and even blowing up! Very dangerous technology in an RV, in my view!
Yeah this should at least have 2 burners and a bigger sink., what the heck.
@@mateocafe45 check your chemistry. These lithium batteries are different from Tesla batteries. Fire risk is essentially zero. They belong inside the coach for protection.
NOT for me.
Batteries are exposed, hope it's not raining or puddles on highway.
Bathroom could be couple inches wider so you can fit your butt in there.
Is that leather on the seats and bed? If so, even with A/C on and sheets on bed, you're gonna sweat, making uncomfortable sleep, in my opinion. If it's vinyl then that would be worse.
Sorry, I will have to pass on this one.
But, good job reviewing.
@@arisdaddy2001 There's a reason airlines want your electronics in your carryon and not in checked baggage, and that reason is fire risk, albeit a small risk.
Well...it's nice, but as far as the best Class B, I still haven't seen one that compares to the Leasure travel vans, other than some custom vans. ...But I do love all the bells and whistles that come with that Class B.
Yes I agree. Leisure Travel Vans are great.
would also rather have the twin beds or murphy bed
Pricey!! I drive a MWAD Legend L4 21 ft. no shower but I'm a day tripper to my grandkids tournaments or only overnight for 1 night. I wish I had an awning and screen with electric door. I'm looking for a Mercedes 19' 4x4, but must have a rear bath for ease of washing with a hose each time I empty the black tank. #1- I love the electric side door with screen. #2 I love the awning. #3 the lithium batteries. #1 dislike is the dark inside. #2 is the bathroom placement. #3 is the sofa beds always need a mattress topper which means you always have the sofa in the bed position. Great review
Are you still looking for a Mercedes Sprinter 19ft 4x4?
Expensive, but nice. A great van for solo driver who want to be incognito. The interior is too dark even for me - and Iâm okay with dark for most interiors.
I prefer the model on the extended chassis with the longer wheelbase. The lithium batteries need to be kept inside so they can be kept warm secure. This model is definitely not suited for winter.
But the fit and finish is excellent. A quality rig for sure.
Grech Starda-ion with Lithionics Lithium Batteries (12V)
1,260 Amp Hour / 16,128 Watt Hour is the best B van in the world hands down
Not for me, but I sure hope those massage seats become a norm for all RV's!
Matt, you have got to get microphones. It is hard to hear you when you turn away, add the traffic noise and if you aren't within 2' facing the camera, you've lost a lot of us.
Oh, and I don't need to text directly right away đ
Well, at least it's a different comment
It's a great looking rig and I'm glad you are showing how small it is inside. I think I would buy a class b+ or a class c. I appreciate your reviews
So excited to see you showing an American Coach. I really like the D4/D6 models, but this one is really cool too!!!
Love this class b. Looks like something great for my family of 5 for cross state trips when we are not going to be sleeping in the rv but as a long driving rig.
Love the sliding screen door.
Matt and Ondrea you guys work really hard I like the way you get around the RVs and explained everything really coolđ
This RV is Jus Rite for everyday commute. I â€ïž It đđŸđđŸđđŸ
Been contemplating between Leisure Travel Vans Unity (Class B+), which is ~25ft v.s. Wingamm Oasi 540 (17.75ft), Wingamm Oasi 610 (20ft). Oasi is pricey in the USA compared to the European models, but there's some benefits of a camper that is smaller than a standard parking spot in the US (19ft). It would be great if Matt did a review for the Wingamm Oasi 540 & 610 GL. By far the most spacious 17 footer I've seen.
i would switch out the tires with mich, vs bf, as bf (per my experience) are slippery but mich grab the road better in rain, etc.
Love ya Matt, but no Mercedes-Benz van is the best class b. Most luxurious sure, but does luxury make it the best? Many Promasters are half that price. Ford's have close to the same amenities and can get fixed at most garages.
ButâŠ.Ford. Lol I personally prefer the luxury , unfortunately I have champagne taste and tap water money.
Mercedes Sprinters are notorious for DEF fails that cut off the engine, leaving you stranded to avoid pollution.
This.is.it! I have been looking for exactly this! I like the dark interior bc I suffer from a few illnesses that make me sensitive to light. Normally I would scoff at a wet bath, but that one is nice - with a porcelain toilet?! Iâm only 5â3, so this is soooo perfect for me and my pibble to see the country! Now I just gotta find 3 jobs to pay for it.
Matt , I disagree with you. the best floor plan is when the bathroom is in the back.
Way more room to shower and do your business. Everyone has there likes though, to each there own.
Love your channel. Keep up the great work.
Okay class...let's say this together now...."One quarter of a million dollars."
I'm not even a huge fan of Class Bs, but I still gotta watch for Matt and Andrea's energy!
Hey Matt & Andrea, weâre looking at RVâs again. Itâs weird, but we are looking at B vans. I am still hung up about the small wet baths. Thatâs one of the reasons why we like the Tiffin Wayfarer with the rear bath. If you have recommendations for a class C in the 25â size with a larger bath room, we would be very interested. Some of the Bâs have small slides so would like your opinion on a B with a slideâŠ. Thanks for all yaâll do.
For rich people it might be ok, but for us normal folk, it's wayyyyy to $$.
I love this van but I donât think itâs built for the Canadian climate. Cheers đ»
This feels like a touring coach for someone who doesnât like to fly but will be using this to spend nights at the 4 Seasons while they travel on the road. I would purchase strictly for a business expense
This van is very tight, especially in the bathroom. I like the longer versions better. However the quality is superb in this unit.
Hey Matt. It's lumbar support NOT Lombard
The grech van is much nicer. The outside is more streamlined than the patriot or airstream vans. You should review the Gretch coach in your near future.
I agree. Grech seems to going after this same "luxury" Class B buyer, and their Strada Ion seems a tad nicer than both the American Patriot and the Airsteam Interstate.
Don't like the auto side door. Something else to break. Agree that batteries should be inside not hanging beneath the chassis.
Oh my god they can count to there. Simply amazing..
Love the videos, but y'all really should consider investing in a remote mic setup for your camera. In addition to helping in the noise here, it would be useful for all the times you complain about not being able to record in the wind.
Andrea! Love the dress!
Thank youđ
Thanks Matt and Andrea for another great RV review!
Dislike #1 19â is too small, dark and all for 249K. Like ac that can run off solar? Wow, maybe it works because it is such a small space? Mercedes chassis is a great drive.
I can not even begin to comprehend spending $249,000.00 on this tiny, dark class B.
I like the elevated ground clearance, the front end appearance, and the roof rack. I dislike that Andrea bumped her head!đ€ I did notice rear storage is greatly reduced when the bed is deployed. Lastly, I think this set-up would look much better with a black tubular step, like the one on that RV behind it.
Love your bird of paradise dress!
What is the cargo carrying capacity?
I like it for Weekend Trips!
like it overall but the openness of where the batteries are would not be good for dirt gravel roads. imagine tho if they ever put a slide-out in these units it might make the price tag worth it .
Love the van idea, but just not enough room in there.
A great day trip van to the hotel. Cramped but expected. Having an emergency toilet and the ability to make quick meal at a rest stop is great.
The price however is outrageous. You are in mid to hitch class c with some smaller class a that you can actually move around in and not want to throw the passenger out the auto side door.
Dislike the battery pack under the rig vs. Inside. Reason is it will get easily hit. A similar problem with the winnebago Travado
My dislikes are when you get up from the bed you could bump your head on the storage ceiling unit. Toilet not porcelain. The back door not having storage space. Love the large sink the bed looks comfortable. The heated seats up front and the big sink. This is a great class B. Bathroom is nice size. Thank you Matt and Andrea!
14:45 - It IS a porcelain toilet.
@@truthseeker9454 So sorry I was wrong! I thought I wasnât!
@@sherriweber7105 No worries! I just didn't want you or others to miss Matt's comment. đ
Would you guys buy some mics already...
For that price, I'd take the Grech Strada-ion. More upscale with a bigger fridge.
Itâs nice itâs 4X4đ
Please, do a full review on 2023 Ford tranquillity 19PT, SPECIAL ON THE QUALITY IF WORK!!!!! THANKS
Aloha đ«â€. Been Following you both in the Beinging of the Pendemic World ! Love the Videos and in the Future I'll Contacted You as My Sales Representative ! Wanna Travel on the Mainland on my Early Retirement ! But got my Home Base On Hawaii !!! Mahalo đ€đ€â€
"Just like driving a van" That is because it is a van! đ€Ł
Beautiful!
I guess there are squabbles about whether the Leisure Travel vans are Class B or C, but in terms of layout/floor space and use of that space, it looks and feels like a Class B, and I still prefer their Wonder Rear Twin to any other option Iâve seen. It even comes in a bit less at $188k, but youâll have to wait for one. Oh, and the 2023 models are going to get rid of the step down into the cab-itâs all the same level, which is going to be a lot nicer.
ALMOST 200k subs. Keep up the good work
â€ïžsliding screen door
â€ïžtires and rims
â€ïžinside color
â€ïžvery nice, but to small for me right now
đĄagree about storage
đĄno were to prepare food
?
@@debbietaylor8091 It's a scam, Debbie. Don't fall for it. I'm seeing more of these the last few days and I'm reporting them as often as I see them.
I don't know Matt. I'm not seeing how this is markedly better than a Roadtrek. Or even, at al better than a Roadtrek.
I agree to dark, love your dress Andrea
I think we should start a drinking game and take a shot every time he says âAndrea!â Lol. Iâd be smashed in 5 minutes lmao
Price is insane. These manufacturers need to stop being so ridiculous and stop price gouging. This is exactly why many people build out there own. I have to say I am disgusted.đĄ
Those batteries need protection the ladder needs to be removable and all these units need better security features
Matt, what is the best number to reach you at. I have some qurstions for you, and rather speak to you offline. Thanks Tony
MSRP is crazy for that!
Looks good but Coach House Arriva is better. True shower, not a Wet Bath!
Prefer the twin bed model class b motor homes.
Wow! Expensive!
19:43 - MSRP. You're welcome.
The only thing I didnât like if they could put a curtain for privacy where u sleep
Those batteries being outside is a bad idea. I would swap out any batteries on a motorhome with lithium (although I wish manufacturers would do this to start, since they're not much more expensive and since they can run down to 20% rather than 50%, you don't need as many for the same amount of power) but they need a small space inside to be usable outside the small market that wants to stay in the south all year. We need a bigger cue taken from the #vanlife community and how they streamline their designs and make them beautiful cottages on wheels.
I like everything but the price!
Beautiful but tight. I dislike the cabinet that holds the TV because you lose the use of the seat that is there, all of the units made like this needs to be thought out and redesigned.
Bigger than a carđ
Why donât you use the RV ladder anymore?
WY too expensive for a dark small unit with no storage
$175,000 grand??? Given the price of diesel and the cost of parts and to service a MB, you can keep it! Give me an AWD Ford with the dual turbo V-6, now.
I would pay 300,000 for this, itâs great
I will take two, at 12,000 dollars apiece.
Likes:
1) solar
2) size
3) onboard bathroom
Dislikes:
1) too dark inside
2) MSRP
3) Not an actual full bed
5 inch ground clearance?!
Matt and Andrea thank you for the awesome video! I just have one comment. For a man who is Big and tall most RV'S simply put JUST DOESN'T CUT IT! At 6'2 I ALWAYS look at the drivers seat. In this video, the drivers seat was a MAJOR FAIL. That wall behind dthe drivers seat allowed of zero compensation! Shame ON MERCEDES for charging such an amount and NOT allowing the Driver the option to slide back the seat. I am a professional driver, and to ME THIS IS ALWAYS A FAIL, just like your porcelain toilet! Koodos to you both for the great content you are producing.
I watched a video of a converted school bus the other day and it was a taller one, the owner was 6â2â also. He converted it for $45k and he has a full size kitchen, two beds, so much more. This van is way too pricey.
A school bus ainât no Mercedes. đ
Hey, you miss one part: You can call, you can email....HAHA
dear American coach. if you are making it 4x4 please don't put these lower body kits so no one can use it off-road tension free while off roading
Love B's, B+ and small C.... but at $249k...... nope.
Now you just lost a copilot see everybody she going to fall asleep in that chair have a good one Matt
Yesssssss!!!! 5th!!!!
I don't like the back. It looks like the full back isn't open as high as the doors.
Class B's are so crazy expensive. Can you get the price down to $190k? Wait until you have your Diesel Mercedes serviced $$$ or worked on $$$$.
Said many times with these things, I can't believe there's a market for these luxury B's with body kits. It's a rolling contradiction! Those K02 tires are good but with the body kit you're not going much further off the beaten path than your local KOA's potentially-maybe-gravel-flat-road. So cramped inside and so expensive. They chose the short chassis but I guarantee pretty much all of these will be at RV Parks/KOA sites that can fit 40ft'ers anyway (plus hookups, making the lithium a waste) or the parking lot of a hotel. The lithium batteries outside are a big no-no if you ever plan to be in weather outside of 40f-90f. Doesn't even look like there's heating pads on them.
The van doesn't have a body kit but does have a front spoiler/lip.
@@danieltaylor3396 Just semantics really. Front spoiler, massive steps on passenger side hanging down which is molded for visuals and below chassis level as opposed to a standard running board flush with the chassis and bolted in, and on drivers side there's extra trim pieces added as well. Instead of all those words, I just say body kit =-) Either way, they all hurt approach angle, ground clearance, and turn any owner into a timid mouse on anything other than flat pavement.
the price the price price
You two are so cute
HEATED MASSAGE SEATS đșđž AMERICA !!! .:. great đđœ cockpit; great chassis features đđœ 4x4 combo roof rack with ladder; batteries / electrical đđœgood setup .:. Iâm 6â tall đđœ I would smack my head; itâs tight đđœ I did prefer the Bâs with a bunk (pop tent) on the roof; and Iâd option the đđœlightest colour interior that they had .:. THe MSRP would pull me into a really nice (and bigger) class C - sorry AC

You got to remember when you ask her to lay on the bed she is wearing a dress which could be a problem.
Matt, she has a dress on!
Matt You have to get a lapel microphone for your videos, the wind and traffic noise makes it very difficult to hear at times. The van looks very nice and being on a Mercedes Sprinter makes it even better. I like the layout. Also it would be nice if you mention the location of the dealership you are reviewing the units at.
$250k for a class b is ridiculous
I know! The price is insane! Way to small too! Apparently, the Cass B is popular! I don't get it. Smh!
$250K, wow
Thatâs cheap., Iâm gonna buy 3 of them
I love you and your reviews but I don't care much for the class B's....
Matt,
Not even an argument? I would like to poke a bit and throw Leisure Travel Vans (LTV) into the argument.
LTV is a far better unit in every imaginable way. The only argument is throwing out the âYa but the LTV is a Class B+â.
Nope. Iâd be claustrophobic in there. I like the rear bath better although Iâm not a fan of class B. Nope
The Winnebago Travato K much better class b than this.
