- Apologies that it took me so long to get this knife review/test video made and posted, as some of \you know we recently had some big life things happen, so everything was put on hold and postponed until that settled somewhat. Hopefully, as least as far as CZcams, I'll be getting back to some kinda normal soon.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy this video, and I hope it helps you make a better informed decision about whether to put down your chunk of cash on this knife (to find out if I think it's worth it....watch the video 😜).

I bought the tan one and the black one and got the micarta scales for both. Great knives, very utilitarian.

Very informative and thought out put together review , I just bought one and I like it also thanks for showing the food preparation a lot video out there the reviews just show making feather sticks and splitting wood, usually a lot of knives that come out the knife is good but comes with a crappy sheath to carry it. Ethan Becker knocked it out of the park with this knife design and sheath to carry the Harpoon, and best of all its all made in the good old USA. Thank you Small ADVentures for taking time to share this with all of us.
Thanks much for the kind words, Randy 🙏😊 I'm still loving this knife (as well as other BK's that I've bought since then--I had previously owned a BK2 and 9 before thos review, but have added a 7, 16, and a second 18 in black). It's still tied for first as my go-to knife and sees lots of use (3 way tie between this one, my BK16, and Esee 4) 😊✌️
@@SmallADVentures1973 I'm a big fan of the Becker knives I own a BK2 BK3 BK7 BK9 the BK9 combat bowie is my favorite one. A wise man once told me you can never own to many knives and Glocks be safe during these troubling times going on in our government

Thanks, brother 🙏 It truly is a great knife, and so versatile (good for outdoorsy stuff, tactical, etc), I've been carrying it as backup edc for my CCW despite it's size (not as easily concealable--gotta love Tennessee and it's relaxed carry laws, LOL). I can't remember what truck you could be talking about without going back and re-watching though 😜

OH gotcha! I haven't finished that yet...our son had moved out (and I turned his room into a hobby room), then he moved back in (taking his room back) and I haven't set up to work on a model yet since (LOTS going on, LOL). He should be moving back out again before year's end (as early as literally tomorrow, but as late as Christmas) because he's about to get married unless things change, and I'll be making that room a hobby room again and get back on a couple (including the rusty Ford you speak of) 😊

I tried to think of what most people might use it for and did it (I stayed away from tactical/self defense testing intentionally, that’s a whole other video subject, but it definitely has some capability there and I’ve been carrying it for that reason daily), I appreciate you watching (and thank you on the pic compliment, it was pre-old n fat days lol), hope y’all are well 😊🙏🏻

I once watched a CZcams video of a guy completely cutting up and scrapping a metal push mower with his, LOL! It was probably that video that prompted me to buy one (4-6 years back). When using it with the ferro rod, were you using the spine or the blade to make sparks (hard for me to see on my phone's screen)?
The spine, I never use a blade for that. This knife is still my go-to knife for everything from primitive camping to day hikes, very good quality 😊✌
Now that's a nice knife. You have to review the Mora next.

Celcon is acetal, also known as Delrin, POM. I don't believe the sheath has any glass fiber reinforcement, so it shouldn't dull the blade.
I agree, and I have had no such issues (I have carried this knife daily since making that review) 😊👍

there is the blue truck lol. that is a nice knife held the edge well. what was the orange one that you compared for. the blade is nothing i seen before.
I don't remember 🤔🤦♂️I will have go go back and watch it again to jog my memory, give me a few minutes 🤣 It is a great knife, and still my go-to for day hikes 😊
The only orange one I saw in the video was at the end when I was asking what viewers wanted to see reviewed next. That's a Moraknives (or just "Mora") Kansbol. I never did get around to video reviewing it, but I have used it lots since, it's an excellent bushcraft or camp kitchen knife, especially at around 30 bucks. Highly recommended, I've even given them as Christmas gifts 😊
Micarta scales are not made to spec as the grivory and made my BK18 rattle in the sheath.
That's good to know, thank you 🙏 My thought was primarily that I know from experience with other BK knives I've owned is the grivory can be a bit slick. I wonder if stretching a ranger band over it would be a decent (if less attractive) fix. Thoughts?
I put ranger bands on my BK9 but the standard bike inner tube is too big for the Tweeners. I fixed the rattle of the micarta by sticking a small patch of felt (actually, stick on velcro, soft side) on the inside of the bulge of the sheath.
Which company's micarta scales? A number of companies make handle scales for Beckers.
I like the looks of that, cool sheath too, does it have any molle on it? Schrade next thumbsup!

My guess would be Smokey Mtn Knifeworks or other reputable store online (this one came from Smokey Mtn Knifeworks in person, but tgeir online store sells exactly what their brick and mortar store does), I'm not really sure, it's been over a year since I bought mine and have looked for one (and posted this video). Still for what you get its worth the money. It comes in a spear tip and Tanto version. The Tanto could be easily made into a normal edge ..I'm seriously considering buying one to reprofile cause the spear tip don't have enough belly.
I love 5160 steel its getting hard to find knives made with it anymore and Bucks heat treat usa stuff is excellent.

4:20 (expert chef anxiety) There's... there's a trick to removing the stems. Just slice the "top" of the pepper off, as if you were slicing the top off a pumpkin. Then from INSIDE the lid, you just PUSH the stem out! Not a single speck of pepper flesh is wasted! :) .... Just in case you wanted to know. Also I'm gonna be getting a knife like this in black!
It's been a while since we've cooked anything with peppers (it's not something we cook very often), I will definitely try that next time though, thank you for the tip 😊🙏 I think you will love the knife! The one from this video is still my go-to and one of my favorite knives to use for a lot of things, I'm still very happy with it 😁✌️
