My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE! I could live in a Chinoiserie World!
Wow! Just what I’ve been looking for - I want to ‘age’ a new wooden tv cabinet. Perfect tutorial, thank you.
You are so welcome!
Amy, that looks amazing! I am going to try it.
By the way, we love all your products and can't live without your clean slate and the furniture tonic. If we are low, my husband reminds me to order 😊.
Thank you so much for sharing your talent!❤
I appreciate you!
So understated. Your line was gorgeous! Remember discovering you back about 30 years ago in Memphis and saw your line in Highpoint . So talented! I am thrilled you made this video . Please more of this . It truly shows off your talent!
I can’t wait to learn this technique, I love chinoiserie.
Enjoyed watching your project. I decorate my home with Chinoiserie and love this look. My ideas are spinning in my head to see all the places I can use this process.
Go for it!
Can’t wait to see how it’s done!

Wow wow wow! Thank you so much . My brain is exploding w ideas. I’m wondering the way you sealed it and then added patina w light then dark wax and then dust of ages could I do something like that to take a stained piece that is not that old and antique the newer stain to make it look centuries old
#replay Charlottesville VA gorgeous !!
I want to learn this method.
Shared replay!
Thank you for sharing, sharing is caring!
I want my kit please cuzzum!!!
im so excited.. i just ordered the stencil... #kaadyconsignment #brokenbunny
This is a beautiful stencil. Because it is adhesive on one side, can it be used "upside down" with tape to hold it in place? I need to use a portion of the stencil in reverse.
Definitely!
I love this. Do you have a stockist for your products in Australia?
Love this idea! Wishing you had a stencil (with more birds than the oriental buildings tho) for me with all the products to try it. Ive got the perfect furniture project in the works!!!
PS...can't wait to try this on my cabinet!!!
That's a great idea!
I have a stained piece of furniture I would like to paint black and do this Chinoiserie effect on. How would you suggest I prep it for better paint adhesion? Also, which black paint did you use? Thank you in advance!
Can this be done over varnished wood?
Do you sell this in the UK?
Is it possible to apply clear lacquer to this treatment?
I would to protect your design.
I am a new subscriber,, where can I get this stencils

What type of sponges does Amy use to antique with the glazed over?
Sea sponge!
Thank you Amy. I appreciate you answering so quickly. I have one more question. If I have a piece of furniture that is all ready stained dark, can I just use the cracked Gesso, then a color of milk paint I chose, then antique to get that chippy look? Or do I need to start with bare wood and stain it first?
I so whish I had funds for your products.
How can I get that stencil ? Can you order more
Sorry, it is currently out of stock.

I'm happy that you've simplified the Chinoiserie painting process for everyone out there, but who is making these stencils? Children? The pagoda's perspective is way off. Those column bottoms should not all fall on one line. Would have been helpful for you to show how to match the pattern.
I would stop before adding the dust.
Great, but why did the artist draw a monkey and then try to turn it into a leopard by putting spots on it? Looking at that chimera would drive me nuts. I love Chinoiseries and Toile de' Jouy, but I could never live with a monkey/leopard hybrid on my furniture or anything else. I hope you have better chinoiseries/Toiles than this in your lineup.
